The reason why she feels like a 3 star in game is the role she's assigned to (A sponge tank) is not a good role in a game like Genshin. Take a look at Fu Xuan from Star Rail. They have the same role but since Star Rail is a turn based game, having a sponge tank in that game actually make sense, unlike Genshin.

​@@nickj9112i use Yelan as my sponge tank, whenever i feel like i can't dodge i switch to her and in my Xianyun plunge vape team there's no burst you can cancel by switching. So switch to Yelan take the hit and heal back up rather quickly from Xianyun

I have a thought on dehya being the first burgeon focus character just like a lot of sumeru characters,its niche but that what they intended for.

I can't get over how multipurpose Yelans strings are, like, it makes complete sense that someone with that power would learn to use them whenever they could help like the belt, grip on the box and Dehya, hands-free attachment to the car and, as we see in her trailer as well as this video, tying people up It's not just part of an attack like in game, its an actual, functional string that attaches to things at her will, that's got so many uses! And her just casually making use of it fits her hyper competent character to a tee, its AWESOME

Lore about hand to hand combat focus is only in Natlan and we still at Sumeru so still so long, but just wait until the anime series release, we will see Genshin in whole different perspective again, Ufotable making action series will always toptier

Hearing the car at the end implies that the qixing somehow managed to get an entire car into the Jade Palace. Imagine what that looked like.

Absolutely phenomenal. Truly flawless perfection. Masterfully crafted. It's stuff like this that not only presents the opportunities that animation has for manifesting people's ideas, but it showcases just how rewarding such endeavors can be.

This animation was quite amazing, I gotta say. As other people have stated, the fight scenes, voice acting, cinematic camera views, and everything else is beyond what I've seen for any game animation. One part I liked most is where Dehya was using her waster greatsword to surf across the sand and talking out the fatui which was badass

I'm not used to Dehya being this expressive. I always thought she was the stoic type. The animation is outstanding btw!

Not gonna lie. This Genshin Animation is Wild! Yelan's VA seems the voice of herself while Dehya... She sounded very different and more into an energetic and fun character. Like Yang from RWBY. Also, On the early psychic enemy it imitates animals which is similar to RWBY but HI3 also include mech and Bio type enemy

@@Mario123007 at around 2013 RWBY was released, 3years later at Oct 2016 Hi3 was released which was a month before FFXV. The art style of Honkai impact 3rd is more similar to RWBY (which use 3d animation with anime shader) than any Final Fantasy or Japanese RPG(3d game engine) at the time including Mihoyo previous game Honkai Gakuen 2(2d animation) which was a bullet hell. Which was why I said it "copied RWBY art style" because if it follow Japanese RPG style it would look not like Hi3. But HI3 story and character is done as well as an interactive media can be done and after Monty death RWBY went down the drain.

Heck I say HI3 definitely copy some assets from Bayonetta, like the dodging to slow down enemies etc.... And tbh I think rwby and Honkai starrail crossover could work, by the Astral express travels to remnant and meets ruby and her friends lol.

First, the quality of the animation is superb. Second, Dehya being this expressive and how you handled it is a gift from heaven.

This reminds me so much of RWBY, the style, the animation, the fluidity. Dehya even sounds like Yang Xiao Long in certain aspects, I really do appreciate seeing genshin being animated

I somehow addicted to dehya's "Im Not Dead"

Mad props to the team who bring Genshin even more alive!

The end where everything comes together for the Yelan pose was the cherry on top. Loved it! The voice acting, animation, story, everything was sooo good!

Just by watching this I can tell you studied Yelan and what we've seen of Dehya so much. Every animation was super clean, the voice actors were not only phenomenal but they sounded like the characters themselves, and the desert background was so accurate to what's actually in the game. It is so obvious how much time, love, and dedication you put into making this accurate and outstanding. This is my first video of yours, but I'll gladly watch all the rest if it means seeing this high of quality animations that some professional studies fail to even achieve. All I gotta say is congrats man! Keep up the good work! 👍🎉💕

This is some straight up Monty Oum level of animation legit got flashbacks to Monty’s old animation’s,this animation would make him proud

Honestly the best part is the guy fading away out of existence after the sword hit his nuts. It was like that blow was so powerful you get sent to the ether

I love how expressive the characters are! It's miraculous how you managed the emulate the snappiness of 2D animation with 3D models. I wish more shows were animated like this!

Your animations truly make me believe that we are watching the second coming of Monty Oum at work. The fluidity, choreography, and all the smaller details in between screams someone that knows how to animate fights and action set pieces as a whole. Keep it up, my friend. Phenomenal.

3:08 is my absolute favorite part along with Yelans face expressions throughout the whole thing and Ningguang at the end is great 😂

I was just about to say that this was very RWBY-esque, so much so that i even went to the channel to see if they've done any RWBY content in the past! Absolutely love the work they put into all of this!

i wish actual game cutscenes looked this expressive and fluid! the expressions on the characters are the most i've seen on them and gives them so much more personality :') this really made the characters shine! thank you for this masterpiece

Genshin's cutscenes are terrible, this animation in some aspects, is a way better than the game, fluidity, character expressions, battle effects, even when yelan uses her ult.

@@nivequer Actually, in all fairness, Genshin's cinematics are excellent (the "movie" ones, like Scaramoche battle, or Shenhe against Osial's wife), the fluidity and movement are beautiful, and in game animation is pretty good too (atacks, Combat, open world animations) Besides, we don't know how long it took to create this animation we are watching now, and how expensive it was, and let's be honest here, every game has to reduce costs even AAA (Genshin is not a AAA, i know). My point is, everything demands a cost, call it time or Money, or both. Even lifting and eyebrow demands time and money, that's why MOST games cannot afford to be a movie everytime, and even if they could that would be too demanding for the devices (specially mobile) to run. In terms of expressions you are right (mostly), but consider that the expressions of this video have been greatly influenced by western's style, and Genshin is not the firts game to have no lips sync animation.

This was really well done The faces, while clearly more in the creators artstyle, still worked well with the models I liked the creative uses of the elements, like seeing the pyro slime in the dynamite While the vehicles feel a little out of place, everything else felt very true to the world like Yelan's use of those strings

This reminds me of RWBY in the best way possible. Namely the fighting choreography, the absurdity of the situations that are only realistic because of how badass yelan and Dehya are. You guys did such an excellent job with the action sequences and the story telling. I would seriously love to watch a series from your team.

Ufotable better step up. Never thought I'd say that, but *_this_* absolute masterpiece, this work of art. The movements. The banter. The choreography and incorporation of Yelan's burst attack. This right here is the kind of thing people expect from larger animation companies! Oh man the age of indie projects is gonna be awesome!

"I'm not dead!" Got me The animation is amazing, can't believe how good it is. Every detail about the characters you got it just right. I loved it and I hope you guys can bring more of this stuff it's just sensational

i didn’t expect the lore parts of it to be this accurate 😮 the whole part of yelan working for the qixing, dehya being a mercenary for hire, the detail is awesome and i like it when animators pay attention to the story!

Since Ningguang heard the beeps, there can be no doubt that they put the car on the Jade Chamber.

I love this. Every second of it. The models are very high quality and well animated. The voice acting was so good to listen to ("Haha! I'm not dead" in particular.) Narrative was also pretty funny. I do love strong women doing badass things. Dehya definitely made me feel things. She's so great.

Dehya: "whoa,what is this thing?" Also Dehya: *Casually entering the car like she's been ride it before*

I absolutely loved the way Yelan used her strings in a casual way and the practical uses of it
