BCM-0103 Pedal Position Sensor faulty signal
ECM-9400 Brake Pedal Sensor - Signal too high
This is my second go-around with P0573 in the V70 - hence the name 'Brakin' II'. I first encountered brake system DTC's for the V70 approximately January 2022 leading to replacement of Brake Position Sensor (aftermarket replacement), Brake Pedal Sensor (aftermarket replacement), and Brake Control Module (XemodeX rebuild) in February 2022. Everything drove perfectly before an unexpected return of the dreaded P0573 July 2022. The code cleared on my cheap Autel OBD2 unit but then returned with increasing frequency until it would simply no longer clear.
IPD provided a replacement Brake Position Sensor (aftermarket replacement) under the original unit warranty but the P0573 code remained after installation December 2022. The car drove flawlessly except the Cruise Control would not activate due to the P0573 DTC.
With an upcoming road trip planned in the V70, I decided to pursue solving the P0573 riddle hoping for a return of Cruise Control for the open highway driving anticipated on my spring 2023 road trip.
