I first heard this song right when I was preparing to reveal the sins of one of the most powerful men in my community. I was a no one, to a certain extent, and was terrified that I wouldn’t be taken seriously. But this song, particularly with this image gave me the strength to stand up. And I won. It took time, but I have severely damaged his power base over the course of months. And because I said something to the right handful of people, others are constantly watching him and whispering.

@@Brucey eh, just your basic old white man grooming. I tried to block him from gaining greater access to his target demographic. And though at first I had to back down, I both scared him enough that he never was able to use his new influence, and planted seeds throughout the community where he now is watched at every event he attends. He was then kicked from the group I was part of completely after some other, mostly unrelated political/monetary stuff, but it was because (and this the director has said) because I had already planted seeds of doubt in his motives. I spoke up, and was immediately put in contact with some family friends who were significantly more powerful than I knew, spreading my message and causing others to connect things they had brushed off. He has lost board positions, and his money stopped being able to buy the same level of influence.
