Nadal vs Djokovic - The Biggest Rivalry in Tennis | Movie | Tribute
After my Fedal video and the tribute about the Big Three, this is my third video of the trilogy I wanted to produce.. The ultimate tribute to the biggest rivalry in tennis history: Nadal vs Djokovic.
This will be my last video about the Big Three rivalries. I told their story in every way imaginable, so I would not be able to find new angles to it.
What I will do however is produce a "Final Chapter" video, should they face off again. Besides the big career tribute of Rafa that i will do one day, I will now focus on new stories.
I have been working on this passion project for over three months.
This movie starts in 2006 and includes everything until Novak Djokovics failed quest for the Grand Slam in 2021.
Featuring all 20 Grand Slam triumphs of both Rafa and Nole, the best highlights of every single one of their 58 matches, interviews, important career steps and so much more.
You can find the complete head to head here: www.atptour.com/en/players/at...

A Cynic is the man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. The fact he made this and shared is worth much more than the video itself. We are humans first. We love first. Ask any artist if they were given the opportunity to have their work known all over the world but without earning one single penny or to be a billionaire but have his work completely ignored forever what do you think he would choose. There is no real option. Who cares about money, when one loves what he does and have the chance to affect others. That is the simple fact, Capitalism stupidity never managed to understand. The real powerful drive has never been money but love.

@@VelhaGuardaTricolor thanks for the view buddy; would both agree and disagree to some extent. Any content creator also deserves to be paid based on how people in a free market would pay for it and if that appreciation is shown through income , which would be greater for better content, it would encourage them further to build more great content and everyone wins. I for one would have happily paid to view this and also paid to buy the video. And being able to reach a mass audience through these platforms which are result of capitalism levels the playing field and gives more time to create content than to market. That’s my humble opinion.

But when he had his bad time in 2017 and the first half of 2018 I realized what great kind of human and especially athlete he is. The 2021 RG Semifinal, especially the 3rd Set, blew me away! The initial bit when Djoko said 'I think I can beat him' was more self-belief than overconfidence. The man truly believes he can beat anyone from anywhere, and often gets misunderstood for that, but has proven that over and over again.. If one truly doesn't believe they are the best, they certainly never will be. Rafa is an absolute legend, his 14 slams at a single open may never be broken. It's like Don Bradmin's cricket record. Certain records will stand the test of time. Having said that, Novak is from another planet imo. He is truly a once in a lifetime athlete. Ps - Great compilation man. :)

I am a die hard rafa fan and even hated novak for what he did to rafa on hard courts lately (winning continuous 18 plus sets), but got tears in my eyes watching this video and their journey of 15 years to reach here. This rivalry might not be remembered for beauty or contrast or the best ever , but in my view this matchup brings rally's of out of the world quality and no human being can do any more in terms of effort and resillience. I really hope we are due for some more battles for 1 or 2 more years between Rafa and Nole , hopefully 5 more atleast. Novak really won me over with gesture at US Open this year. Even with his obsession of breaking records , i see a whole other side of Novak as in what a great human being he is. Even Rafa such a kind personality with all his attitude towards pandemic and all. So probably only thing missing in this video is their charity work or exhibitions where both really did an awesome job in raising money and awareness. As a longtime Rafa fan I'm glad to see this video. Well done. Now I have to mention that when it comes to a match against Rafa is always the longest. Be it with Roger or Novak. The middle man here who brings intensity and long duration to the game is Rafa. To me this is why Rafa is great. Many have doubt that Rafa will have a long career, because of the way he plays on court. He pushes himself and his body too much. Fight for every point. Many fears it will tear him down fast. But he still proves many wrong. His physical strength is unmatch. His humility and calmness and focus on court also is unmatch. Never remember him hit a racquet when he's frustrated ever. Pure class act. I love him for that. What a gentleman. Now, for Novak, honestly among the three goats if there ever will be a movie made, the most interesting one will be a movie base on Novak tennis career and his life. Why, because Novak was the underdog. He is not like much by fans. While Rafa and Roger always were loved by many. He was booed most of the time. If he plays against these two, most will support Rafa and Roger not him. But now the table has turn. Both his haters and people who love Novak have now come to respect him. Whether you like him or not you can't deny the unmatch mental strength he brings to the court. He works so hard. He keeps himself healthy, he's so determine. He deserve to be number 1. Imagine watching his movie about him and people not knowing that it's a true story because it's that epic and unreal, unbelievable and that good. So Respect for Novak always. Now Roger. See if Roger stops playing now which none of us want that day to come. But , if he stops with 20 grandslam, he will forever be The Roger Federer. The one and only that is well known all over the world. I have friends who don't watch tennis but knows The Federer. He was the game changer, the one who catapulted tennis to be an interesting game to watch. He contributes to the tennis world by just being so graceful a player and so so pleasing to watch. If he stops playing, there's no way people will forget him easily,No way. He is so loved by all and gain so much respect from everyone. His reputation has gain a firm ground. So deep rooted. All thanks to his special talent and his loyal fans. The greatest Roger Federer, the maestro. Long live. I love Nadal, but Novak and Roger, I will never hate and I'll forever respect them. They shape each other by pushing one another to their limits. Glad to see someone made such a special video to respect these greats. It's a reminder to the die hard fans of each of these three greats to not hate on any of the other two , but to just be grateful that we live in an era where we get to witness such out of this world tennis by Novak, Roger and Rafael. ❤ Glad to see

U are absolutely lying. In 07’ nobody thought Djokovic was going to overtake the sport. He used to quit matches because of “overheat”. In wasn’t until 2011 that I saw Djokovic as the absolute threat of beating both Rafa and Roger in a consistent basis. The earliest we saw glimpses was in the 08’ Olympics.

@espacespr6557 do you know how to read? I said Djokovic will be toughest rival for Rafa. I didn't say anything else you wrote. Rafa always had a hard time against players who took the ball early and had a great BH like Djokovic, Davydenko, Nalbadian. Go n watch 2007 atp finals match of them and how commentators were talking why Djokovic is the favorite in the match even though Rafa won and how difficult he is for Rafa. In 2008 Olympics, they were talking how great this rivalry will be in the future and in 2009,Rafa literally said Novak is better than Roger on clay and Novak beat him consecutive times on HC that year. Go n watch Paris bercy semis that year and you will see a Rafa you have never seen before, absolutely clueless and body language defeated, struggled to get even a point at one point. If you don't believe all this, go n watch what Toni said when he saw Djokovic in 2005, that he will be the problem to Rafa. He said all these when Roger was still dominating the sport.

UPDATE: WOW!!!! THANK YOU FOR 400K! Hey everyone, thanks for the great feedback so far. I know it's a rather long video and probably just die hard fans will really watch it from start to finish but that's ok. I tried to make it shorter but let's face it: they played each other 58 times and won 40 Grand Slams between them. How can you show this in a short way without it affecting the quality of the movie?I did not want to rush trough all of the matches but rather show how great their rivalry is and how it changed over the years in a detailed way. In the later years, where they did not face each other 4+ times a year anymore, I focused more on the overall picture of their careers and gave an overview on where they were at during the time. Sometimes I cut only a short version of epic matches I already made a whole video about (e.g. Roland Garros 2020 and 21), sometimes I produced a whole new edit of a match I already covered (e.g. AO 2012). Now I completed my personal trilogy: The Fedal video, the Big Three Video, and now the Rafa-Djoker video. I told their stories in every way imaginable. I will now only focus on the future. I hope you can enjoy the video and that it's not too long. Let me know what you think :-)

The greatest rivalry in the history of, not only tennis, but all of sport. The 2 greatest players ever, born 9 months apart. Both share the record for most grand slams on 22, 2 clear of 3rd place Federer and 8 clear of 4th place Sampras. Novak has 93 tour titles, Rafa has 92. Both have an identical winning percentage on tour of 83.2%, the joint top 2 in history. They have played each other 59 times, more times than any other 2 players in history. Novak has won 30, Nadal 29. They both have a better W/L ratio against every other player they’ve played, including Federer. The 2 greatest players, in a one on one sport, competing in identical era’s and completely and utterly inseparable in results. It doesn’t get better.

Federer is better than Nadal. The H2H is only close because Nadal kept avoiding Federer and Djokovic after 2013. Nadal does not have a single victory against Novak outside of clay since 2013 and against Federer, Nadal has 6-1 losing record and the only victory he has is on clay. Nadal has never won the ATP finals. Nadal has only been world no.1 for 210+ weeks while Federer has been no.1 for 310+ weeks. Nadal has never beaten Djokovic in Australia while Djokovic has beaten Nadal at French Open. Djokovic and Federer have both beaten each other on all slams. Nadal has 8 non-clay slams compared to Federer, who has 12 non-grass slams. Djokovic-Federer is the real GOAT rivalry. Nadal has always retired or withdrawn from many tournaments before facing Roger or Novak. Djokovic-Nadal match are simply marathon matches. The one who lasts longer wins. And in the past 10 years Nadal has not even won a set against Djokovic on hard courts. Federer-Djokovic matches are better in qualify. More creativity, better shot making, more exciting throughout the years unlike Nadal-Djokovic or Nadal-Federer which has been a one sided affair outside of clay for the past 10 years.

I am a diehard Nadal fan. There is no mistaking that fact. There are times where I have been so disgusted with Novak for, what I perceive to be, his on court arrogance. Then after he has a win, over Nadal, I read the, rabid Novak fan, messages and become even more incensed. With all of your hard work for this entire tribute, you ABSOLUTELY ended it on the best and perfect note. It makes me realize that, in the end, this is a game and both Novak and Rafa are great champions. These two are rivals but they do not hate each other. I know Rafa does not have that in him and I do know the same for Novak. As I continue to read the online messages of, "Rafa is old now" "Rafa will never beat Novak again" "Rafa is finished" and so on - I know that there is still passion, spirit and victory left in Nadal. This is what makes Nadal, Nadal. This is why the Rafa fans believe in him and love him so much. Rafa is without arrogance or offensive hubris. Absolutely superb work for this video. It is crazy how Djokovic and Nadal are close in their records. I can't wait to see who will have the most ATP/GS titles. It will depend on their health I suppose.

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it. Yes, at the moment it looks like Rafas body finally has let him down. But it was one hell of a fight. I will certainly do a "last chapter" to their rivalry after US Open 2021.

The Laver Cup will be the last time the big three will be at the same tournament. I think I might cry. Djokovic deserves all his success, he's made diet, probably training and personal life sacrifices to beat the best. I am a Fedal person and will miss Federer VERY MUCH. His style of play and very classy behaviour will never be forgotten.

Just watched this whole video (2nd time). 10/10 again for absolutely everything. Editing, commentating selection, phenomenal music choice. I hope Rafa and Novak get to watch this one day if they haven’t already. And a lovely inspiring end to the video to. A great rivalry but warm friendship also. Amazing 🙌🏻

@@rafanatic22 will do man. The only problem I find with a lot of fans (and this clearly isn’t a problem for you and I) is they so blindly support their favourite player that they lose respect for the greatness of another. That’s what separates your videos and adds to their greatness for me. Even though you are a Rafa fan you show so much respect for Novak and Roger also in your videos. They are the truest tribute to greatness. I’m a massive Novak fan myself but whenever he goes out I want Rafa or Roger to win if they’re still in the tournament. Your videos are unbiased genius!
