I saw this movie on opening night last January...28$ for one bloody ticket. This song and the whole movie made me watch this a few more times... it just had to be on the big screen. So happy for India and this achievement on the award and recognition!!!

You should watch SS RAJAMOULI’s previous films like bahubali 1&2, eega

as a telugu indian kid growing up in america, i felt very ashamed to be indian. i wanted to be white so badly. eventually, i was okay with being indian but wished i was north indian. over time i realized, i would not have it any other way and began to embrace it. so it’s absolutely insane to see how much RRR has done for the general population of the west to realize how sincere these tollywood films are and how amazing rajamouli is. i couldn’t have EVER imagined this as a kid. i’m still a little salty that all RRR got nominated for Best Song and Best International Movie for Golden Globes and might make it to best song for the Oscars. (I’m sure Argentina is a great movie but damn did I want RRR to win…)

Some of us south Indians have a case of 2x inferiority complex - one from North Indians and another from abroad. It's becoming clear now that south Indian films are an accurate representation of India which Bollywood has chosen to wash off itself over the past couple of decades. Things like this win can make us feel proud again of where we are from and what we are capable of contributing to society through our unique worldview.

shame. if you are ashamed of being an south indian you should have not watched RRR. Its bad that many desi who come to US based on their INDIAN citizenship try to behave/act/change to be like native American. Some people don't get satisfied with what they have and always want more.

Have started following South Indian movies (their Hindi dubbed versions) recently. It's wonderful to see their creativity and innovative ideas and how down to earth all these stars are. Really appreciate South Indian cinema from heart.

Humility and honesty of the man in acknowledging the contribution of others from the high podium!!! A great man besides being a great composer.

this movie was 3 hours of straight fun! great job to everyone involved. And this scene was THE BEST

as a first-gen american-indian, i always felt like i didn't fit in, even within the bay area, where there are a lot of indian people. it always felt like no one acknowledged indians, especially those from south india. but today, i get to live through a time where my language, my people are recognized by the world, and are loved by them. i am so proud.

So much respect, just saw it last night! Someone pointed out this song deserved it more than the others cause the song plays a role in the movie itself, not just a song by a famous person in the credits. Although Pinocchios song does that too, but this blew Ciao Papa out of the water

RRR is a "whole stamina" kinda movie. Absolutely incredible achievement!

It was sad to see a silent response as most people there didn't know #NaatuNaatu, also it was a shocker for many seeing a 1st time nominee beat heavyweights like Lady gaga, Rihanna & Taylor Swift. I mean it's literally historical to see our MM Kreem/Keeravani win such a monumental award for our country. However the goosebumps was knowing our Naatu Naatu played in the background in front of Hollywood's biggest & watching James Cameron & Steven Spielberg while Kreem sir was walking. It was unfreaking Believable.

He could've said a few words in Telugu ! Despite me being Tamil, I really want our identity language to be known to the world and not just Hindi representing India at global stage. Isaipuyal AR Rahman proudly said the Tamil line "Ella Pugazhum iraivanuke" (All glory to god) on the Oscar stage and it induced a special bond of proudly representing my language else where I go !

All award shows have a limit on the speech. Usually if you go above the time; the music is the cue to finish the speech.

Great composer! Very well deserving recognition though late. I really got disappointed when few movie reviews mentioned Bahubali's music was below par. Every bit of Bahu bali's BG score and songs are worth million. Congratulations to the melody king!!!
