Nice drive. It's cool to see a different view of the Netherlands than the highways.

I always enjoy your videos. They are extremely well done. Your ride through these lovely Netherlands towns and rural areas looks like some of the smaller towns that have retained their 17th century Dutch influences carried over by the English after 1684, in design, landscaping and architecture of the Hudson Valley in upstate New York where I grew up.

Thanks! Dutch non-freeways are quite different from those in the U.S. You will virtually never find paved shoulders along non-freeways in the Netherlands.

I believe they are marks to raise awareness of drivers that there is some kind of dangerous crossing coming up. In this case a pedestrian crossing. This is the first time I've seen markings like this, I only know them as Zigzags.
