    He didn't have much of a storyline in real life, while the group was together, and perhaps more importantly after they split up. Dre and Cube continued to have big careers, including interesting events in their lives. Easy E was a national figure within the music industry up until his death. Ren, arguably the best rapper in the group, just faded away nationally after they broke-up. There's just not a whole lot of meat to his storyline. That being said, they could have at least featured him more musically in the movie.

    Eazy's interviews are never boring! lol, so He came on the Arsenio hall show in a straight jacket then in a bathrobe, I wonder what kind of stuff He would have put on had He gotten the chance to do another interview with Him, also the crowd is hilarious to Me in this video, its kind of obvious who they liked best!DJ yella (crickets) Dr. Dre(Slight applause and woo's) MC ren(You could hear a pin drop) Eazy E(The crowd goes wild with applause, whopping and hollering, especially the ladies) Eazy was honestly the most charismatic and likeable out of all the group members, that's probably one of the reasons people gravitated towards Him, He just had natural charm and was unpredictable. He was always my favorite group member, because He had a unique flow. N.W.A would be nothing without E, everyone did there part but He was the one that caught everyone's eye.

    No matter how fabricated NWA's image may have been, they criticized a war on national television. Ren straight up called it "bullshit". You don't see a lot of rappers taking a stand on global issues like this anymore.

  • @dlkc2000

    @dlkc2000

    They said they rapped about the things that were going on around them. I don't think that is fabricated. NO one gave them the image but themselves. Tupac to me is one of if not the realest rapper/people/leaders in the history of Hip-hop/black community period. Yet, he studied the arts on the East Coast. He did live in Ghetto after Ghetto and did sell drugs on a small time level but he also portrayed himself as the MOB (money over bitches) or the real meaning he hid was MEN OF BLOODs. He over hyped what he really was because he could. Every member of NWA was from the Compton Ghettos except maybe Eazy who was the biggest Criminal/Drug Dealer in Compton. Yet, he had 2 parents and they made above working more like middle class money. He got caught up in the Crack era which many modern day families at that time did. Anyway enough rambling. They were all from the hood and saw the shit they rapped about just like Pac.

    MC Ren, the 1 and ONLY!! genuine wit, and true talent fueling N.W,A, only true intellects know and recognize this, his intelligence was off the charts, and his realistic view on society and world events were something of an oddity within this genre, he is the only one who refused to sell out, therefore staying true to gangsta rap, and his fans, and it pisses us off he is so blown off, but I guess all in all, that's the way he wanted it, he stayed out of the drama, the war fare, and completely neutral, made music for his fans, and did everything he could not to end up in the top 40, or in some family kid's Hollywood movie, MC Ren is the one and only true NWA Member, so who cares what the general public think or know, what real fans know is what made us follow him, off the beaten path, he's a true thug, a brilliant lyricist, the baddest mutha fuka in NWA, fukc a legend he's a west-coast ICON!!

    +Ezoangelofdeath i agree with you and all but that comment about refusing to sell out, are you talking about the rest of nwa? because dre and cube never sold out (yella didn't either but he only had one album) and neither did eazy because obviously he passed away. dre and cubes later albums may sound more modern but they've never sold out

  • @Ezoangelofdeath

    @Ezoangelofdeath

    8 жыл бұрын

    +kolisionn What I mean by selling out, is reaching out into "middle America" making records targeted to selling records, and not necessarily targeted towards their primary fans only, I guess selling out means different things to different people, yeah to some artists making the most money is important, believe it or not, some just honestly care about their demo, and off that alone, they can sustain a comfortable living and do what they love, I have no doubt Ren could've wrote top 40 hits, and tried to appeal to a "different" audience, I mean he certainly had the ability to write vocals to do it, and with no doubt could've produced or had Dre, or even Quik, drop him some beats that would appeal to the "audience", I think he could've easily done it, but he kept it raw, kept it vulgar, and stayed true to his fans, unless you don't believe he could've written top 40 shit and is the most he could be, then I guess you agree, so this is merely all I meant by selling out, and my interpretation having remained a solid Ren fan through and through, BTW, Yella didn't sell out so to speak, I thought his album was pretty hard, but from what I know, he went to porn, anyway, thats what I meant by selling out, appealing to the masses!!

    They were so brave! They really spoke their minds. To be young & fearless is a great thing. As one gets older we r usually censored and second guess ourselves but young people don't back down. I wish they all stayed as a team and got rid of Jerry Heller early smhhhh. Sucks.

    These Arsenio Hall interviews are amazing, learnt so much about rap music in the last couple of hours. Such a great interview style, you get the feeling that he is genuinely interested in what these artists have to say, but is not giving them an easy ride, he's testing the beliefs and intentions of the music so you can really learn about it. SMART!!!!!

    ***** He also pissed people off when Paul Mooney came on. Paul doesn't spare feelings when it comes to talking about racism. And Bobby Slayton (a Jewish comic) made fun of Jewish women & Chinese people. Arsenio had all kinds of people on his show that Johnny and Jay didn't want. They believed in pandering to old white mainstream americans who didn't appreciate diversity.

Dr Dre even said Ice Cube was right, and he followed Ice cube's path and soon left too. The fact is they were nothing without Cube. Cube was the man!!!! And for all the people saying Cube sold out for entering Hollywood..Nah!! He didn't. He was against negative black portrayal in Hollywood. He plays positive black roles. So he is in fact a man of his word! All who know, keep it 100!

    MC Ren was kind of the leader of that group, and he was a lot more hood than people think, He grew in E Compton with Eazy, remember, and those ACC guys were as shady as it got. None of them were gang members, they were just in the neighborhoods were the gangs"got down'. What Ren said at 5:38 was real shit. I remember nodding my head watching this live. Ha ha

  • @shanidayo1491

    @shanidayo1491

    No dear, MC Ren didn't lead anything. He may have been socially aware in a sense, but He didn't have the business or creative sense that Eazy had. There is more to being a leader than just saying a few inspirational words, a lot of hard work, time, and money went into making N.W.A what is was, without Eazy N.W.A may never have been mainstream. Many people didn't want to promote "reality rap" back then, let's not forget. Eazy brought a certain charm and charisma to the table that nobody in the group could match up with, it was His creativity and individuality that drew the fans in judging by the crowds reaction to His name and the way new and old fans still mourn for Him even now. Eazy had a huge impact on the music industry as a whole, artist come and go, but there will never be another Eazy.
