It is a great camera angle: you can truly appreciate the 3-dimensionality of all the cars, especially newer ones like 370 Nismo and BMW M240 coupe, because of the wheel bulges they have.

If you go frame by frame (using the keys) you can see his rear left already unloading as he turns in while decelerating, but the moment his front left dips into the turn before the concrete section (which already dips down to transition into the concrete) it unloads the right rear tire which held the majority of the cornering load, sending it sideways and pointing towards the inner kerb of the turn. That pretty much doomed him from the start; turn-in was too aggressive for the setup of the car and the little dip was the tiny push that sent it flying..
