I LOVE the design they went with here, the centre being censored and the various vaguely religious imagery coming out of that is really god damn cool.

Fun fact, if you stay longer in the world near the tree (avoid the summoning outlines), you can see the idle animations for the fireflies and the owl. The owl would perch on the tree and if you wait, they would start to hum notes whilst the fireflies if you wait, would gather at one point and form a star. Very good visuals

A boss that boots you back to the title screen after beating it? That's insane. I thought Echdeath was impressive before this by turning you into a ghost after death, but that's a *whole* different level. At the rate we're going, we're going to have all the planned future bosses before Calamity intended. Hopefully Calamity is okay with people transforming the source material like that, but they can always improve and make their vision better than what other modders plan.

Not hating on the mod at all!!! (my opinion!!!!!!!!) but it doesn't have much to do with Calamity besides using xerocs lore as an all power name and lore as an all powerful deity. Could Fabsol have wanted to base off main mod xeroc on similar themes? Perchance

I love that it is portrayed as 3-D (as I assume a god would be in a 2-D world) and can cut the screen itself. And I also love how this shows how far you’ve come, being able to escape a black hole, being able to be unaffected by time, tanking attacks that obliterate space itself, awesome.

@@osseyocelot5431 in the case of the lore, you could not be more wrong, what your staring at is the god that consumed the soul of zeratos and single handedly became the most powerful being in creation. he was one of 2 things yharim failed at (noxus) the golden heretic actually tried to kill xeroc as one of his last gods, and xeroc showed him how "hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned" he was, it was hardly a battle, and yharim learned that day there was atleast 2 gods he could never hope to kill, and that the only reason hes alive even in the first place with years of training and killing countless gods is because a fly is nothing to the milky way. now dont get me wrong, I love yharim much more than the next guy and he is by far my fav tmodloader idea (and eventually boss) but he should be long dead (by your hand I might add) by the time you fight this one. cause at the end of the day yharim can absorb godly powers, split planets, cover himself in the strongest auric and exo plated armor known to man or devil, but hes not xeroc, hes not half of xeroc, hell hes not even one percent of xeroc. everything that happens in the terraria universe happens by xerocs will and forbearance, including you "beating him"

and here I was thinking terraria boss visuals couldnt possibly get any better!

This fight does an EXCELLENT JOB at showing the player that you're fighting GOD. The way he looks, the fact that Xeroc's face is censored (in the bible it also pretty much says that nobody can look at the Most High's face directly) this is just pure cinema.

There would be no fight. Old lore Xerox (what this fight is based off of) can just... Delete anything he wants. Whenever he wants. He can literally just make you cease to exist from anywhere in the universe, any dimension, at any moment. Not even just delete you. Delete your literal history. Make it so that you never existed ever. No one remembers you, nothing you've done exists anymore, everything about you just gone in the blink of an eye.

I think this was inspired by Undertale's omega Flowey due to the hectic sprites, background music, some of the sound effects and even just the attacks themselves which is really cool. Another reason I think this is because the boss kicks you out of your save just like Flowey did in Undertale.

THE SPRITE IS PERFECT i geniuenly wouldve already been happy with the placeholder sprite as it reflects the cosmic theme of this boss so well, since xeroc is a god so powerfull he is barely comprehendable. but dude... all the religious imagery, symbolizing xerocs position as a literal god of light and time, quickly glitching in and out of reality makes it seem like our character is at the brink of understanding xeroc itself, but cant really completly comprehend him. this along with the theming of xeroc being more powerfull than the reality he is bounded too makes this such a thematically perfected encounter

This fight is so beautiful that I didn't notice I had tears streaming down my face. No exaggeration, this is pure art. Phase 3 transition gave me chills.

average calamity addon fight

I love how at 7:08 it shows the god as huge, then shows the “eye” of him to be realistic to us, like we are the gods that rule over the modded worlds. Like OH that’s what could be what we can’t comprehend, truly terrifying!!!

A few minor details: One of the bullet hell attacks actually makes the Star of David. The initial pre-fight part has that “tree” with apples. Once the fight starts, they fall to the ground. This could be a small nod to the “Apple of Sin” in Christian mythology. The likely censoring of his face is also a small nod that God in Christian mythology has no definite form.

Not even the highest and most sacred of Blasphemous' bosses felt so overwhelming and daunting! I loved the detail of their face being censored, like if our minds couldn't understand the "blessed eldritch horrors" behind.

I love how chaotic this boss feels. With the boss zipping around the screen and the explosive attacks, it just makes you feel weak in comparison to this god.

@@octolinggrimm6387 my bad for not being caught up, but what about the rock item that you get after beating boss rush that has a description "The first object Xeroc ever created" the way that's phrased it's implied that the rock was the first thing made in the process of making the world it's phrased like xeroc made a lot more stuff after the rock, and it would be fitting that a simple stone would be the start of everything also i read up on all the new stuff with auric souls so your old lore comment makes sense now, but i could swear reading a while ago that he did make everything in the calamity universe

Visually wise it's brilliance, however, gameplay wise it isn't different than all the other bosses. That's why I think there will come more creative bosses in the future, who may or may not beat the visuals in this fight. If you don't agree with me just think of Starlight River for a second, this might change your mind.

It's cool the fact that this boss it's like a fusion of all bosses in infernium mode bc he uses alot of thing you've learned from every infernium boss

Awesome to have seen the progress this boss went through to get to this stage of (quite literally) heavenly perfection

quite possibly THE hardest boss design i’ve ever seen. absolutely amazing in both visuals and audio (and the amazing soundtrack for before and during the fight)

I just love the visual and sound design here, very menacing!

Yoo! Congratulations on passing the test man, so happy for you!

I like how this is described not so much as a _fight_ as it is a _test._ This was but a figment of His power, to behold His true form would be physically impossible for any mere mortal, even one with as much power as yourself. To exert his true power would be to, in layman's terms, retrocasually erase your being from existence. You would cease to exist, or rather would have never existed at all. Entire galaxies could be snapped out of reality at His command. But He is merciful, and sees such barbarianism as below Himself, relegated only to the falsely divine, whom only steal and cheat their way to power. He seeks to care for His endless garden, and to those who seek it, He shall test their strength, to see if they are worthy of wielding even a shred of His essence. Sadly, with how cool the concept is, this depiction of Xeroc unfortunately doesn't reconcile well with the new lore, as I don't think even the Primordial Light would be capable of such feats like this. But the old version might be what this is aiming for though, with the whole "Xeroc is literally *the* Capital-G God of Terraria" schtick...

I absolutely love this boss when i fought it i didn't know the mod for it got a update today and the fight was just so visually appealing to me one of the best boss fight ive ever done and seen!!!

Whats next, a boss having ultra hd 8k graphics, and simulating entire games!? Like holy fuck i was blown away by things like radiance and starlight river but this! This is ona whole new level!

The visuals on this are fricking amazing holy crap, this whole fight gives me major omega flowy vibes, I love it

The stars being scared of god is literally the best showcase of power there might ever be

the music the animation the visual effects the fricking patterns so variations, HOLY HELL I JUST. WOW!

I enjoyed this boss a lot. This is truly amazing.

I think my favourite part has to be the big space beam and the slashes in the dark. Just the fact that those appear to bend the fabric of reality and even the game's code is insane enough, but the fact that they also mute the music paired with the sound effects, especially with the slashing... That is just absolutely insane. I love it so much. It just snatching and crushing your adrenaline and rage bars and booting you to the menu after are also amazing touches that I never in a million years thought I'd ever see in Terraria. Whoever made this boss deserves a crown

they're not just galaxies, they're flower petals- the same flowers mentioned by 'garden of the sacred flowers' in the boss theme

This is the coolest boss i've ever seen

This is what you fight when you hit god with the "what's that on your shirt?" gag

Also, this boss was beyond cool. I'm going to take a look around, but since lore-wise Noxus was the one that grounded Xeroc I want to see an ascended version of them too.

The attack in 6:50 really reminds me of a certain touhou spell card. Nice.

I love that the point here is you can't truly defeat it and it just a test of something

Nobody: The chillest terraria post-hardmode, master mode plus, infernum, hellmode modded bossfight:

Xeroc's face is horror beyond comprehension and has it blacked out automatically when you see it

I like how Xerox not only looks like a God he fights like a God by using reality breaking attacks freely

Finally, an actual deity and not an excuse for one (a boring worm with, to be fair, very suboptimal mobility, and very small mouth and reality warping abilities)

I love how this dude has 50 different designs (that I think are random) every time you summon them

This entire bossfight is every single Magmashice video at once attacking you Love it!

Personal theory: the high voice is Xeroc, the low voice is Noxus. throughout the Terrarian's fight with Nameless Deity, they are forcing enlightenment onto the Terrarian. the fight against Nameless Deity is a test to assure whether the Terrarian is worthy of joining Xeroc and Noxus as a god; this is why Nameless Deity's loot is themed around its attacks, but with the permission slip to get cheatsheet. if you can kill a god through raw power alone, you might as well become a god.
