I think Myth is a pretty cool guy. eh secures the next 1,000 year cycle of Light, uses dream magic and doesn't afraid of anything.

This is probably the first prototype of an audiobook that I had experienced as a child and the reason why I love then so much. This is how I would like audiobooks to sound: great voice acting, music, sound effects even, pictures. This is better than a book, a comicbook and a movie in some ways. And I honestly think it is accessible for people to make who can't afford to make a movie.

I wonder what the Fallen Lords feel about being turned villainous. Balor, Shiver, even Soulblighter. Dare I say, The Deceiver is the living example that these people were once heroes. He's clearly driven to the brink, but enough of his senses still are about him that he willingly works for the Light even if its for his own gain. Dare I say, I wonder if its possible to recruit Fallen Lords before they are uncovered by any Leveler. It's risky, but there must be payoff even if its one time.

St8 goosebumps the entire video. The sense of dread and horror is amazing. Fond memories of my older bro lightening bolting bombs into his enemies lines on multiplayer.

Such a blast from the past. Had a hell of a time when playing this game, the story is what kept me playing it for a long time. The story telling was 10/10

Leaving his journal with the _surgeon_ is an obvious callback to the Black Company. Deceiver was fucking based.

Spent untold hours playing and replaying the missions. One of my favorite games of all time. The narrator and music are large parts of why; some of the most effective scene-setting in the history of computer games.

This would make such a great movie or TV series!

I know this is an old post but..... It essentially IS a book series. Go read The Black Company series. This game is obviously written by a fan. The books are amazing.

Still remember playing the Demo of the Fallenlords at Bagrada. Couldn't wait to get my hands on the actual game. 10 years old and in all my glory.

That’s what I’ve been thinking for years

On the thumbnail of this video Soulblighter looks like he put on a glasses. Now I want a picture where Soulblighter is performing a stand-up presentation.

At first i only played the demo, it had the first 2 or 3 missions and later i got the full game and experienced it's awesomeness. I was in highschool and seems it was a lifetime ago, but i can't forget the immersion and the chills i got listening to the journal entries and the struggle to keep all my men alive, talk about a blast from the past :)

Anyone else get Halo Reach Sword Base vibes from the Gonen's Bridge track?

i do belive if soulblighter had killed alric he would have ended the cycle now he's guaranteed that alric will be the next leveler

Simply the beginning dream sequence with good actors where "kill him kill him" and 10 berserks beat the hell out of one man and he's taking it for a good period of time and the anguish of soul blighter too late to save his masters head as he turns to crows and departs.a good movie even that scene would be original

Hmm... I recall reading somewhere that back in the Fallen Lords, the only unit type that was included in every battle that the narrator said he was actually involved in was an archer. Of course, it could easily be the case that Bungie never really gave overmuch thought about the exact occupation of the narrator. As to the idea that Crüniac is the previous narrator: I doubt it. Sixty years have passed, and there was never any indication that the previous narrator, nor Crüniac, had the kind of magic that would slow aging to the point that Crüniac could be a veteran and still be working as a captain of the Legion. Though that would have been an interesting twist: oh look, Crüniac was an Avatara the whole time.

@@dimas3829 Interesting thought, but also one that I would need some in-universe allusion to. We know time passed differently within the Tain, but there was never a real indication it went beyond that. If there was some hint about that, please share. I'm always willing to be proven wrong if it means that I'm learning something new or having some detail I never noticed before pointed out 😛 Well, ok, I suppose its time twisting nature could explain why the Summer had to be within the Tain fragment to bring back the Myrkridia, but my personal theory on that front was either A) he needed the skulls of the Myrkridia in order to revive them - as shown by his needing to pick up the skulls in order to bring more to defend himself - and B) Soulblighter put him there because where better to keep him safe and able to do his work than a pocket dimension with limited access? I doubt Soulblighter believed that the Legion would even *think* to hunt down a fragment, nevermind willingly transport themselves within.

This series had a beginning (Myth III), a middle (Myth I) and an ending (Myth II), it doesn't need to keep going, telling the same story over and over again. It would just be another franchise that only makes sequels to cash in on a popular game title and not because they want to make a game with a good storyline, which is always case with titles that just won't end. People really need to learn to let things come to an end.

Yes indeed but they put more thought into it then they show. A lot of details are hidden in texts and on their official sites but it was cut from the game for pacing issues (like how Shiver was resurrected). I will say this about the story it creates a lot of magical items to solve problems, that is indeed true but this world if full of magic so... not impossible. It does a good job showing the tension, you never feel like the good guys are given a easy victory.

The fuckin better than any movie script that could possibly be written in 2023 has already been written for Gods sake atleast 75 percent of it....fuck this is a story that needs to be on a screen jason jones do something

Can't ever be a better game ... The creativity would never be enough and nobody is even creative enough not at all anymore or anyone....Jason Jones you need to come back and do something I know nothing about you all I know is that your masterpieces are languishing

@@snakeplisken6242 except the storyline ...right of course the fantasy "beings" dwarves, elvish men, etc but outside of that in and of itself this story is probably three times as violent and probably twice as strange whereas LOTR is entirely predictable and corny in comparison simply because of the lack of graphic violence in a book and movie that have elements of war in it.
