I like how they have the concrete to walk on until they step onto the soft dirt. That's a great way to tell if there's any lameness...it will be evident when they walk over a hard surface. This horse seems to be sound.

It looks like to me that his flesh held up well after the race. He doesn't look stale or washed out. His hair coat looks great!

Lets hope he draws a good post position.

I’m going to miss these CD training videos. Thank you. A few thoughts: Just Steel ran ok in the Kentucky Derby for that first mile, setting the pace with Fierceness and Track Phantom. Maybe that’s why they decided to run him in the Preakness? But yeah, he faded badly in the stretch. I wonder if he has enough gas left for the Preakness. Best of luck to Mystik Dan at Pimlico.

He is winning the Preakness

He's McPeeking 😜😜 he looks fighting fit... i love this horses demeanor he is so stoic and relaxed he's like a old mare as kenny said its like he's a 1000 years old and i can see that quality his temperament which usually translates well to consistency. Only thing is they also tend to work on their own time and not yours and only give you just enough when they please haha.

The Preakness should be held on the first Saturday in June, and the Belmont Stakes on the second Saturday in July. Two weeks after such a grueling race as the Kentucky derby is insufficient time for the thoroughbred to fully recover.

I agree with you and I wish the horse and team the best of luck in the Preakness. However, I really can't see great benefit in running him there.

Well all i czn szy is good luck. Mout will be fresh with no prior race do it will be anybodys race. All you can do is dont work him to hard

What a competitor Dan is. He really wanted to go get those two workers that came by going into the backstretch.

Seize the gray, Mystic dan and Tuscan gold are my picks for the Preakness

Yea, but Lil' Dan earned himself a shot. Unless he came back lame, you gotta give him a chance.
