Pity they canceled it after just one season.

a ledgend.bring back the thought into childrens tele now, an absolute brilliant film and an absolute brilliant world he has created in many forms., considering the age there is nothing like it today and im not trying to whine on like an old person,,i am 33 years old. There is great need for Jim Henderson for this generation.they are missing out and just giving the chance they would love the whole package.GREAT VIDEO, DONT STOP,all possitive reviews and for a good reason. Bloody great!

The song goes really well with it! Was also thinking it's amazing how well this film has aged especially in comparison with Labyrinth, which just looks really 80s now.

I also think Dark Crystal is a better movie overall, and is very mature, especially for a family film.

I saw it in the theater and us kids were allowed to sit right in front of the screen and eat our snacks, our imaginations soured as a 6yr old!!!!!!

This is an incredible mix of Loreena McKennet and the Dark Crystal, excellent work!

Wonderfully and masterfully done! The music brings out the beauty and mystery of the movie, and the two blend together seamlessly in a way that defies explanation! This video does the movie good! P.S. I LOVE your avatar! My dad is a retired entomologist, and he used to raise Luna moths when I was a kid (as well as Polyphemus and Cecropia moths too-I had great fun helping him and gave even raised moths like that for my kids to enjoy too!).

bob james Or Adam = One, the first of the odd numbers, which are traditionally regarded as male. Eve = Two, the first of the even numbers, which are traditionally regarded as female. Or anything else you like from the Land of Making Stuff Up. The name Adam does not mean dawn, and the name Eve does not mean Dusk, besides which that has nothing to do with the movie, and besides which in this movie the boy was dark-complexioned and the girl light-complexioned, the opposite of what your dawn and dusk analogy would imply.

I love this - what is the song playing by the way? Anyway, you've captured the beauty and magical quality of the film. I loved it so much when a child. It still makes me wonder and feel like I'm somewhere else. It holds such depth, as did Watership Down (watch if anyone reading this has not seen it!) The only thing I dont like about this movie is the inconsistency. They said that when the crystal cracked and the shard came off the crystal, the celestial race were split into two. But then why does it already showing a skeksy cracking the crystal? lol wth

Question: If when the Urskeks split and the Skeksis embodied the lower vibrations while the Uru embodied the higher..Doesn't that therefore make the Uru more perfect beings than Urskeks due the fact they have eliminated all lower vibrations from their being and are technically more pure??? (forgive the name spelling)

I know the reply is super late, but it's still a great topic for discussion. The Skeses embody ambition, creativity, ingenuity, and other useful traits - not just the undesirable ones emphasized in the movie. I'm not saying they're "good guys" by any stretch, just that they're not all bad. But the point of the movie is they're not whole, which implies a person is not complete without those "lesser" traits.
