hm idk etho shrine seems pretty good, its a tradition for hermits to build shires to summon the friends they have a vaguely gay relationship with and its a bit of a weird coincidence he immediately jumped to defending himself and saying he didnt do it - feels suspicious how defensive he was

Also I feel like a horse shrine could be hilarious. Dead or alive, your choice.

I feel like the position Joel built his cyberpunk and more traditional buildings is accurate. The top of the hill would have been the heart and start of the settlement, and thus would have and be ever changing, leaving the outer areas to fall behind and stay traditional rather than cyberpunky. The way other people have described also works, but I just prefer this as it feels more alive and as if it has been there for generations :) ALSO I AM LOVING THIS STYLE SM- I genuinely can't predict the general shape you are going for and I am honestly learning new ways that shapes can be created :D

I’ve seen a few artists draw you as a tanuki, also known as Japanese raccoon dogs. These little creatures are mischievous shapeshifters and statues of them are used to bring wealth and fortune afaik. I think a tanuki statue would be great for the shrine!

The city centre Rotterdam was bombed in WW2. Therefore, the centre is completely modern while the outskirts contain older traditional buildings. A modern core with old buildings around is therefore perfectly possible in a dystopian build. All you need is some gruesome war lore. Otherwise, they could have bulldozed the temple to build commercial stuff (and only left the tori gate and and a bit of the garden down below for tourists).

The city I grew up in was wiped out by a tornado. The oldest part of time wasn’t touched, but the rest has been rebuilt. There are hardly any trees/landscaping, but there are very modern builds right beside buildings that are hundreds of years old. The hospital was destroyed, so there was a temporary tent hospital for a few years.

Shrine of THE horses. Horse heads remain as offerings to bring back the great horse. (Whatever that is) May seem kinda boring, but atleast you would also have a place to store horse heads.

Joel, the command is “/trigger custom_model_data 1”. I know from the S9 world download. You have to have a specific item in your hand for it to give the permit though. (For permits, it is paper). If that does not work, change the 1 to some other positive number. It’ll work at some point.

Idk if anyone else has said this yet, but having the old parts of the city on the outside and the new parts inside actually does make sense with Japan’s history. In WWII 70% of Tokyo was burned to the ground after a series of bombings from the Americans and fires that followed afterwards. Tokyo had to build from the ground up quickly and this is why its architecture is so modern and high tech while most of the older buildings are on the outskirts. It would probably look more like Kyoto today if the bombings and fires didn’t happen. Also I’m so excited to see what you come up with after your trip to Japan! Ik they’re gonna be AMAZING

@@wowazl4122 that could actually work rly well with Impulse’s cyberpunk city. The disaster could’ve effected both areas and while the cyberpunk city collapsed, Joel’s city survived and thrived

You could definitely go with a shrine to a blue axolotl cause that’s one of your goals, maybe your chances will increase

Something small but that I really appreciate is how Shbeans makes sure to shoutout the hermits he buys materials from, it's just a nice little reminder that Hermitcraft is a community, & that the scale of stuff on this server would be a lot more difficult if it weren't for things like the shopping district ^^ Great episode, gorgeous terraforming & I'm glad the permit nonsense got resolved!

Joel. That intro was worth the 2 hours it took to make it. On a side note, if you like game shows, talking to Zed might provide an avenue. He could always bring back ITSLAM!
