I love how LFG just dives right in. Like "Oh it's what? Yeah I eat that." Tip. Chase it down with some Wild Turkey 101. It cleans the palate.

Haven't been watching the videos because I'm old but saw Florida canal and had to click. Lived there when i was a Young pup IN SEVILLE!!! So pretty freaking awesome. Hung out at a fish camp and we took off in a air boat after bar hours and broke down in the marshy area and had to walk in 6" of water for miles in the dark and some woods. Freakiest night ever

Canal fishing sounds fun
Those "bream" are called Warmouth, they're part of the sunfish family, and they taste better when caught in cleaner ponds, lakes, rivers, instead of in dark stagnant type water like y'all were fishing in. Warmouth does thrive in that type of water, but they just don't taste as good.

First fish flair caught is indeed a warmouth
Florida do have them exotics
Yes the grey stuff hanging down from the trees is moss and hooks absolutely love to get caught in it
I love this type of video man! Gives me summer vibes! Keep em comin!
Shout out the tow, and never seen someone get so excited about a mudfish
Juan is amazing bro
I love how y’all got me back into fishing
Looks like ya'll were staying at Jack Burgers place. That guy runs a great Osceola outfitter if you're ever in town during turkey season
If it frys it dies I think that covers everything you can catch n cook lol
My first thought when they said they wanted to catch bowfin, "They're going to be very disappointed if they don't know how to treat it." They were at least quick with it so it didn't get mushy.
Damn got the whole squad out there, Rackley, even Jordan 🤘
Anyone realize at the start that they were drinking while driving LMFAO! xd

Next time when you go catching bowfin you can bleed the tail for the best result there’s a lake in Illinois that has tons of bowfin
Great video 😎👍 I can't wait to do catch and cook on my channel here soon 😀
more of this chill type of videos
U guys should do a blindfolded challenge where u cook fish the same way but the person that is blindfolded needs to guess
Bowfin are also called dogfish because they can make a noise that sounds like a dog barking
The bowfin fish is really good but you got to cook the meat and eat it quick because as soon as it dies the meat starts deteriorating really quick so you can’t let it dead for too long 😎
@karlarrington5362

Old fisherman remedy: bleed the fish when you catch it, cut an inch or two into the tail end and let it bleed out. The flesh won't deteriorate as fast and remains somewhat firm.
@Deerslyr81

@@karlarrington5362 correct sir! Been doing that one myself for 30+ years and it works like a dream! When you catch a mess of catfish that’s how you keep them from going bad because it takes forever to clean them sometimes!

If it's wet, get the net!
Bowfin are super good fish but you have to eat them right away before the meat starts deteriorating.
Anyone else notice the claw in the cup holder? 😂
5:50 yes it is a warmouth
Hooked lips = crispy strips Also can you see daddy flair all beef caked up like lojo? Dad goals 😂
Those are big ol’ green sunfish/warmouth, whatever you wanna call em’

Googan Fishing with Diners Drive Ins & Dives!! Good video!
Keep the videos coming
If it's on your line it's time to dine.
If it bites the hook it’s good to cook
Dang y’all were right down the road from me! The warmouth are pretty good fried but I really like gar fried up, they are very similar to the bowfin texture
Almost every night I listen to ur guys podcast😃
Lojo: what’s gonna be really funny is you trying to handle one of these things. It is like ten times more slippery, but more powerful. Me: that’s what she said. 😂
if you ever fish for mudfish again just use some type of dead fish and it’s game over

There is a reason why we call them mudfish, we toss them on the bank not the livewell lol
@Dalesorensen43
3 жыл бұрын
Why would u throw it on the bank? Its a native fish
@scottshannon4880
3 жыл бұрын
@@Dalesorensen43 because they are so aggressive that they will continue to bite even after being caught and when you are targeting trophy Bass and you are using wild golden shiners it gets very expensive and very annoying to catch the same stinking mudfish over and over. I've actually seen it where a mudfish was tossed into a cypress stump that was hollowed out and did not have any water in it and a mudfish was in there for about 3 hours and then my buddy stopped back by and went to go throw the dead mudfish to a gator yet the mudfish was still alive so he tossed it right in the water and it swam away so they are one resilient annoyance. They have somehow evolved to be like a armored catfish AKA walking catfish and can live out of the water for hours so yes I do not feel bad to kill a mudfish they are not in any danger of becoming extinct not in Northeast Florida that is for sure
I fish every weekend in FL been trying to catch a bowfin

Yes flair the grey stuff hanging in the tree is Spanish moss it's all over the state and it's actually eatable at least a certain part of it is
It blows my mind when someone acts so crazy about making sure to throw that bass back . Do you not think the other species of fish want to be thrown back and live another day . That’s being racist towards other fish. Catfish , bream ,& bowfins lifes matter!!!! But really on a serious note if you go by a body of water rules on slot and numbers of fish that’s legal, it’s not wrong to eat a bass they taste great . The way people throw them back it’s like bass are weak and frail 😂😂😂🎣 if it’s got fins it fries🎣
Bowfin are super fun to catch
Another name for the bowfin that we used down here in Louisiana is “Jack grinnel” they are some tough mean fish. Had multiple spinnerbaits broke in half by them
