Mrytle beach is a paradise for retired people: lovely beaches, garden city, good climate, diversified restaurants with tasty food, tons of the recreation, very affordable houses with low property tax, and, nice people. OMG!

I'm from Virginia Beach and I love Myrtle Beach more.. the oceanfront is way cleaner than VA beach and there is way more attractions to do there.. I'm going for spring break in April ❤️

A little inside info: when in Myrtle Beach, definitely visit the state parks (Myrtle Beach State Park and especially Huntington Beach State Park ) in the area. The best beaches and some very interesting history. You won`t be disappointed, I promise.

Ken Bugawisan For the most part yes, bad parts are deep down town leaving myrtle south. I would recommend North Myrtle and it’s surrounding little towns where it’s more residential and quiet and peaceful.

Been going to the south part for last 7 years and always walk around the sky wheel.area even at night and NEVER had an issues

Think about it before moving. Rent a condo before you decide to move.
Tips: I recommend renting a Condo rather than a Hotel. Sure, more expensive, but will be more comfortable. Also, I would say not to swim by any piers. Fishing rods and sharks are there.

I went here with my Mom, Dad, And one of my bffs in July, 2021, and it was a blast. I’m begging my parents for us to go again already! The beach water was the perfect temperature, and the boogie board saved me from drowning. I do know how to swim, but at that time I was still learning and I accidentally put my arms down which is why I almost drowned. I really recommend this place. The hotels that are right down the road from the beach gives a great view of the ocean. It’s also a good idea to take pics because of how beautiful it is here.

Myrtle Beach is one city not a string of Seaside towns. Definitely localized in the southern grand Strand area. I would stick to Myrtle Beach area if visiting again.

Yeah skip myrtle beach and go to Charleston, Hilton head, Miami. Theres a bunch of mini golf ,t shirt shops, and tattoo parlors. Take it from a transplant who moved to MB. Im embarrassed to take family to another tourist trap

@@Eowyn187 That goes for a lot of beaches around the world. It's mostly because of storms in the ocean off and on that mix and murc the water up. My first day there it was very blue and my second day it looked a little more murky and less see through.
