Mylène Farmer Reaction Ainsi soit je LIVE '09 (ALMOST BROKE DOWN!) | Dereck Reacts

Ойын-сауық

#mylènefarmer #ainsisoitje #reaction
Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at a live 2009 performance of Mylène Farmer's
Ainsi soit je. Mylene really got me this time singing this beautiful ballad in two parts: one all voice with piano, the second instrumentation slayed! See why I teared up and almost broke down!

I think she genuinly is LOVED by a whole generation and no kiddin' she is the icon of an era in France. Mylene is a sister, a mother a light, a virginal religious icon and the most accomplished artist I know. At a point I don't think i can comprehend the whole depth of here work. because it merges inside her and the public... And beliver it or not.. I'm a freakin' metalhead. That girl doesn't make music. She oozes it through every pore of here perfect skin.

The pianist is Yvan Cassar. He was there for all her concerts except the last one, and we felt the difference. He's done wonderful and surprising arrangements for her lives songs, and their duo is amazing each time. He really matches her pace and feels the emotions. If you want to see her sing louder and dancing along, you should watch Bercy 98. My favorites are California and XXL.

So glad you're discovering Mylène... she is soooo spectacular in every dimension. If you get into the lyrics it's even more profound. I live in the US but I'm a French teacher; she has fans around the world. And you can see why!!!!! By the way, she doesn't go on tour... those amazing sets are custom-built for her concerts,. and she performs for 10-15 nights in the same arena. The fans come to her. And it sells out! I want to see her live before I die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful song ! Tribute to her brother when he passed away. Mylène is the best female record seller in France. Since 1984, 30 millions records and only 7 Tours, 11 albums. That gives you an idea why her concert are so epic. She wants each concert unique and memorable. She created a kind of mystical universe based on absence and silence. You never see her on TV, no interview, no gossip... and that creates a gap in all her fans that she fills with her concerts. Sometimes 4 or 5 years between each concert. So when she appears on stage .... we’re crying, screaming and "worshiping" her as if she was a kind of Goddess. When she sings emotional songs like this one in a crowd of sometimes 80k people you can hear a pin drop ! It’s just amazing... She’s touching us for almost 40 years because of her lyrics. It speaks to everybody in different ways and it doesn’t age it is about War, God, homophobia, sex, the world, injustice, and of course love....). She never gives interview because everything we need to know is in the lyrics. Her signature song is Désenchanté. It could be nice if you could react to the live performance of this song⬇️ kzread.info/dash/bejne/nKOAmMOYe6S2aag.html Here is the translation 😉 lyricstranslate.com/fr/desenchantee-disenchanted.html Thank you for your reaction 🙏

She is so emotional every time, as you said, she takes time singing the song.. I’m glad she cries if she ‘wants to’ and doesn’t limit herself in that sense. It makes the whole thing feel real. I’m glad you feel what we do, you are transported to another world like we are.. it’s magical.. the buildups of her music, the melodies she has are absolutely spectacular.. she always surprises with the visuals, vocals and melody. Also yes, she is so connected with the fans it’s just beautiful to watch! Thank you for the beautiful reaction!

We were in the center of the stadium and we didn't realise when she disappeared from main stage and just appeared next to us in the middle on that platform (we didn't expect to be that close). "Ainsi Soit Je" is for me the most mysterious song that she wrote. You don't know exactly what she is talking about, but this is very deep and important for her, also very dark. Many times, in concert, she wasn't able to sing it correctly (in Avant Que l'Ombre stages, the song was replaced because it was too much painful for her to sing it). And the outro at the end of the video is the instrumental from "Avant que l'ombre", the first video you reacted ;)

"Ainsi soit je" & "Rêver" are always very emotional songs when done in concert. Very often she cries and has a lot of difficulty finishing them. It brings tears to your eyes. You have fallen into Mylène's world, you will have a lot of difficulty getting out of it. You should really watch the full video clip for "Libertine" and then for its sequel "Pourvu qu'elles soient Douces" or "Sans Contrfaçon" or "California". Please continue to put the subtitles, I am having difficulty following you and understanding English orally. ******** "Ainsi soit je" et "Rêver" sont des chansons toujours très émotionnelles lorsqu'elles sont faites en concert. That tear you drop, without even noticing I think, at 11:59 and the rest of the reaction with how emotional you get is a true testament to how powerful Mylene and her music are. You don't need to understand the words to be touched and moved by her voice and the instrumentation she offers. It shows how it is truly music that convey heavy emotions. As a forever fan of Mylene who is touched deeply by her lyrics, it makes me so happy to see someone who don't even understand French can also experience and share these deep emotions through her, and as a relay connect with us all.

She is the only "star" in the world who never goes on TV , she refuses ! She is a total mystery since her second song. No paparzzi (the one who tried had probably some problems) , nothing. No one never talk about her , but everyone in france knows her since 1990. But her concerts are BIG and people goes to see her. In our mind she is a godess. She is untouchable since 30 years. It was a very difficult but intelligent way on her carreer. Perhaps to really protect her.

Sarah Brightman and Mylène Farmer have the voices of the angels inside them! Even if you don't speak french, you will understand the kinda feeling related to Mylène's songs! While she's departing from the stage, I feel sad, like if she is living the final moment in life, and there's a lot of sadness while she's walking towards death, but at the same time, it feels like she is in peace, although sad. Thank you , Dereck.

A lot of her magic has to do with the French language. Her voice (and music of course) has that mystic spell on listeners, it is like their being enchanted, but . . . . if you would hear her songs in English it doesn't sound mystic or enchanted anymore. But yes, she is a very talented singer and excellent business woman. No doubt, for sure.

English works much better in "classic" pop songs, but yeah, when it comes to write something with a deep meaning, french is very suitable for it. It's suitable to poesy. (Not that you can't do it in English, but in French it sounds mystical)

I have never been able to accept the criticism about her voice, that it lacked power but it is soothing. I don't like shouting artists. She is soft spoken, it shows in her singing too. I don't care she may not have the power of others, she has amazing presence and her words are a balm to my soul. Don't you feel it too, it seems you do, it caresses your brain, doesn't it?

Not one of my favorite Mylene ballads, but it remains a favorite of most of her fans, so it is especially welcome treat to them in her live shows. Always sung during the ballad segment (normally 2-3 ballads performed back to back) of her concerts, the song is always a vulnerable highlight of her concerts. The song is part of her 2nd album (which L'horloge is also from) from 1988, which put her on a pedestal of an iconic status, where she still remains! The album is full of romantic darkness, where she explores sexuality, death, betrayal, and overall existential issues - which may sound too serious, but it is at the same time full of catchy pop tunes. And yes, she started showing her tits way before Madonna. I insist that you watch, and possibly react if you will, her Pourvu Qu'elles Soient Douces 17-minute long music vid, the first ever #1 song. Btw... this tour I attended in Brussels in 2009, the stadium is big, I stood at the end of that runway! I wish I could be closer to the stage cuz most of the time she stayed there. Oh and the outro is the instrumental version of Avant Que L'hombre, which you commented on several vids ago. This is NOT her departure from the concert, this is in fact an interlude /transition to the following act from the show.

One of her most emblematic songs, her first ballad too. A very acoustic version, very sober and super moving. Her faithful pianist illuminates the song of course. But this is the finale (or rather the instrumental cover of "Avant que l'ombre") that sends the song to new heights. Crazy instrumentation, guitars, piano, drums, bass, percussions. And then the scenery of the stage, this is fabulous, Everything is rich, in each corner of the stage lights, videos. Everything is worked out in details. It's just very very beautiful

I was secretly hoping you would do a reaction on this song during that concert. First because it's only piano-voice and it's beautifully simple but at the same time very complex (Yvan Cassar, the pianist, is one of the absolut best regarding that instrument) and secondly because the interlude itself is breathtaking. All of the instruments building that climax with the decor, the audience... Your eyes are wide open (and so are your ears) no matter what... If I recall correctly, this footage was recorded on her birthday (which happens to be tomorrow, September 12), which may explain the intensity of emotion in the air. As one suggested, you should do a multipart reaction to one of her entire concerts, that would be epic, for you and for us! You should also do a reaction videos on videos clips (the combination Libertine - Pourvu qu'elles soient douces, Que mon coeur lâche directed by Luc Besson and California directed by Abel Ferrara) I was pleasantly surprised how you reacted, the emotion you felt, even though you don't understand what she says, which proves that music is the universal language Have a great day

Any song, clip or performance of Mylene is a real masterpiece, "piece goods," exclusive! That is why she does not stamp her works, but bears for a long time like a baby, bringing to absolute perfection!!! Not a single artist stood nearby!!!
