First Time Reaction Michel Polnareff Goodbye Marylou (I CAN"T, SO BEAUTIFUL!) | Dereck Reacts

Ойын-сауық

#michelpolnareff #goodbyemarylou #firsttimereaction #french80s
Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at a first time reaction made possible via PATREON with Michel Polnareff and his song "Goodbye Marylou." What a stunning, well written composed song. A lush lift of strings and piano against this Michel's voice. It's still in my head, that a good sign! See my reaction now!

Michel Polnareff a.k.a. "L'Amiral" is really classical in french song and french culture. That song is very beautiful and his voice is so incredible. It can get so high. And, since you loved that song, you should also listen to and react to : "Lettre à France" also by Michel Polnareff. That song is pretty sad but so beautiful and i'm pretty sure that you will love it.

@dereckreacts well you finally got to the French Legends ! Cloclo, Michel Polnareff, Gainsbourg, Nougaro, Sardou, Goldman, and so on... Still missing Serge Lama (the original singer of "Je suis malade"). Thanks ! I'm 20 again !

It's true that he reacted to "Je suis malade" covered by Lara Fabian but not to the original by Serge Lama. He has to do it, obviously.

Ah you found Michel Polnareff! Very cool! He first made it big with Ame Celine in 1967- a wonderful song, covered worldwide as an instrumental called Soul Coaxing. He’s lived quite an interesting life. Some struggles here and there but an amazing talent.

I am french and he is a kind of "monument of the music in France " since the 60's 😉 he wrote this song before internet came around he was a visionnaire. He wrote this song at the royal Monceau hotel in Paris back then he stayed at this place for month in the dark because he discovered he couldn't to see anymore. And he had a sugery and came back to the light again .😌😉
