I met Neville tonight in his band while supporting FM. I quizzed him about SKIN but he wasn't telling. Neville was such a lovely guy. We chatted about the old days and the first time I saw him LIVE as support to Little Angels.. Amazing days. Nev has the voice ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This sounds amazing! The band looks great, and when I listened again without the visuals, I realised that Phil Conaline's voice is uncannily like Nev's. Brilliant!

For some reason I've only just seen this (and the 'Take me Down to the River' video). I've never seen or heard of this singer before, but holy moly, he's good. He sounds like a combination of Nev and Bon Scott.

Heath Cockburn pretty much what I thought when I first saw Skin in '92 & they were covering Jagged Edge..... Gave them a chance and they won me over just as these guys may win you over too. Nev has Hand of Dimes and Myke has these guys so it's all good ☺ Means we get double the rock! 🤘🤘

Skin are finished, which means Myke needs a new voice to sing his songs. Phil Conalane has plenty of experience from his time in Million Dollar Reload, his new band Blackwater Conspiracy have had some great reviews and he's a strong live performer who does a great job following on from the mighty Neville MacDonald. I don't know what's not to like.

Yes I know what you are saying, but I have followed Skin since the first album and to me it makes more sense to reform that if youre going to play Skin! I was going to download when they canceled and all of a sudden neville left the band and we still have no reason given why the band just stopped all of a sudden. This just feels like a cover band watching this. I see Myke Gray is playing some big dates but hows it going to work if he plays concerts on his own, will it be in pubs? maybe some supports but touring on youre own in a solo project will be even harder.

While there hasn't been an official explanation as to what happened with Skin, from things Myke has said on social media and the press I could take a guess. I did an interview with him when his solo CD came out and he makes reference to the status of Red, White & Blues and Skin without being specific, but it is fairly telling: www.rocktopia.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9452:interview-with-myke-gray&Itemid=498 And he said the other week on Facebook, in response to a question about if Skin will reform, "not in my lifetime".

That is a good interview, thank you. I know neville left the band but there must have been big problems for him to do that as he is a very good kind man. I am sorry to say this but I think it would have been down to Myke Gray as in youre interiew reads he is a very controling person. It doesnt make sense Neville walked out just before Download when they had reformed, he never quit in the 90's. The reason must have been big for him to just decide that. Is a strange one, maybe full story will come out one day. I still think it would be much better as Skin with Neville playing skin songs but I will wait for concert footage.
