    Wow you can see her power and talent on floor and vault, and also her general focused and poised demeanor (I adimire that about her, her mental strength and consistency). And you can also see how hard she worked on bars since then

    But, exact SAME form on her back acro series on the beam. Also her technique on her turn on the beam never changed from what it was here. Just totally interesting.

    I recall her talking about having tight tendons- not good flexibility. More difficult to keep legs looking straight and flexing ankles fully. I think she did the best she could with what she was working with 😅

    If she only knew the amazing journey she would embark on in the sport… world champion team member TWICE, heartbreak as an Olympic alternate in 2016, stellar collegiate career and then an Olympic silver medalist!! What a legend.

    Wow! She’s come a long way. She looks so different now. No facial comparison from a child to teen to adult because it would look like 3 different people! She looks so different now!

    A very talented and beautiful girl. She remembers me at Nadia Comaneci, a famous girl from Romania, many years ago. In any case, I wish her much success furthermore and never to have an accident.

    It is at this point I wish WOGA or preferably Chow had gotten her to change gyms. They could've calmly progressed her skill level while improve her basics.

    @@Diana-kk6qz a little, but then I remember that it is EXTREMELY rare to see 13 year olds at her level and that most people my age would be in platinum too.

    ​@Diana-kk6qz it doesn't matter where you start but where you finish. Kathy Johnson didn't even begin gymnastics until age 12 and became an Olympian at 24. These days, women do gymnastics into their 30s, so there's no rush.

    @@andreagrey6097 not necessarily, i don’t remember ever seeing her compete a half on half off, but the same issues could have happened when she learnt that vault too, i think it was a issue of very very early twisting which thank goodness she fixed in her last year competing

    Her coaches claim that they just wanted her to work on difficulty and that she would get bored. Working on fixing incorrect technique and I think that really impacted her

    I truly believe if they would've invested in her bars forms she would've been in any all around competition, specifically her releases which could've given her a much higher start value, she clearly had power which she could've used to make up for lack of flexibility, they really did wrong not investing in those type of skills

    Prior to her catching Covid she was supposed to have a bars routine that was meant to be the most difficult bars routine but she never got a chance to compete it as Covid has weakened her a little bit so her bars wasn’t as difficult as they had originally planned

    @@surgeon1016difficultly was never her issue. It was her form & technique. She was never going to be a true AA factor in the field she competed in unless she had taken the time to improve it.

    Yeah ..at 13 this isnt that crazy ...for these girls. Look at Jenny Thompson and Dominique Moceanu..DM was national champ at 14 and doing triple backs off bars at 9

    Not many people look completely different as a child to what they look like as an adult. But she does. I can't even see a flicker of her adult face in young Mykayla

    I'm amazed at the instant speed that gymnasts get on take off into a jump and the height they get from it, beside the amazing memory it takes to get a routine down like they do
