Dingo? Bingo!
The iconic Dingo plays a valuable, yet controversial role in the Australian ecosystem.
Living alongside dingoes can be challenging so in a collaborative effort, Behavioural and Conservation Biologists from Taronga Conservation Society and UNSW have teamed up to develop and test non-lethal management tools for dingoes.
Want to help our scientists as they work towards co-existence between dingoes and humans within the same landscape? Well here’s your chance! The project is an online citizen science project where you, the public can help detect dingoes and other animals among the images retrieved from the network of camera-traps in the field at Myall Lakes, NSW.

What a great video showing our beautiful National Park and our beautiful local dingoes. This video should be shown on the local news on TV. Great work, just wish I was younger to be able to get involved.

Absolutely fascinating stuff !!! Is there any way I can help ?! Maybe you should show this to your QLD cousins who think that the Dingo is a outright pest who should all be destroyed. It’s legal to kill them and tie the up in the trees by their tongues . They need to hear one key phrase you said “ they are crucial to our eco system “ maybe if the rednecks understood that we would all be in a better place ! #istandfordingoes
