Robert, thank you for your opinion on this guitar, I just picked one up, my Dad had one ( classic guitar way back in the day ( early 1970s) that I used to play and found its tone comforting. Now in my 60s and playing for way too long, I finally decided to get one. Lots of old memories attached to this one. Oddly, my wife said, no more electric guitars, yes, I am sure I'm in the dog house after it shows up. Thanks for the video and review !

Just bought this guitar. Overall it is a well constructed guitar and feels good in your hands. My main complaint is that it needs to be plugged in or it will be way too quiet in most environments. Will be returning.

Thanks for the review Robert. Want to buy one too but almost impossible to find one in a local store so online is a good choice. I'm 74 and have only been playing/song writing for a few years. Am used to 43mm electric and acoustic guitar nut widths but am nervous about my ability to cope with the 48mm neck as find playing my 52mm classical guitar, tricky. How do you find it?

How do you find the neck width compared to a steel string acoustic or electric guitar? Is it easy to change from one to the other?

El mástil es como el de una acústica o eléctrica, si estás acostumbrado a las clásicas naylon, te tardaras un poco en adaptarte, pero después de un tiempo de jugar con ella, te gustará

I have had an NTX500 for several years and probably use it more than any other guitar. All Yamaha products do what they are meant to do ... straight from the box ( I ride Yamaha motorcycles ... and still enjoy them at 72 years of age). If you look at my channel on "pete7kcu" you'll see several videos using the NTX. The APX is a superb steel string instrument as well. . What is especially impressive is the sheer range of tone available through an amp. I use a Fender acoustic 100 amp. Enjoy.

Hello Robert, I have just watched your video, regarding the NTX1 Yamaha. I am looking at purchasing one too, but before I go down the road of ordering one, would you please be able give me some measurements of the guitar? I have small hands and I struggle with barring some chords. I purchased a parlour acoustic guitar, it has a narrower neck, which suits me just fine. I would love a cut away nylon string. Please can you give me some measurements. Thank you. Kind Regards Sarah

@@darinv_music I can aswer you as I own one, you do loose a little in the bass section and the guitar is acoustically a little quieter, wich is important to consideer if you only want to play it unplugged. But those loss are actually a plus once plugged, because it make the guitar less prone to feedback. You should really think about the purpose this guitar was designed for wich is a easy to play nylon guitar for folk or electric player who need the nylon sound for stage use on a couple of song, and she does that spot on, but this guitar was not designed as a great nylon guitar overall, there is the Yamaha NCX1 for that.

What would've turned a good review into a great one is if you'd actually played something instead of just a strum. I'm considering one of these but would like to hear a "real person" playing it instead of all these pro setup studio reviews.
