Could be an ice age by then. :D I just got my paramotor all set up to send it ... then I hear thunder and see cumulus. The storm was moving a bit faster than expected. DRAT! It was beautiful prior to that. It's beautiful again, but everything's wet! The forces of nature don't want me up there, lol! Great stuff Kris & Kim - good to see ya! I've been slackin' on the vids. I have to say… Installing the AXP340s, the IFD550 and IFD540 in my C441 was a bad mistake.

That wasn’t a bad landing considering. I think adding power saved you from a bigger smash the second time around. It was a good choice to land with approach flaps; and I the problem was your approach speed over the numbers was a lot faster than it should’ve been even for approach flaps setting. At least that’s what it looked like on the video.

On departing FXE, you pointed out that you were 'crabbing' to stay on centerline. Are there numerous reasons for that?

Traffic patterns have planes going downwind (opposite direction). You don’t want to drift into their ‘lane’. Some airports will have skydivers with designated landing areas; you don’t want to drift into their space. Taxiways may be used by helicopters for take-off and landing…so you don’t want to drift into their ‘lanes’. At towered airports, they may say ‘fly runway heading’, which means you fly the heading…and don’t correct for drift. Always feels wrong to me not to correct for drift…
