Sean, so sorry to just now getting back to you. When we were corresponding the other day, I was getting ready to go to my favorite craft store with a friend. I haven't been feeling too well here lately. Yes, I've had all sorts of good luck with the hamster balls. I have had lots and lots of sweet little Gouldian Chicks who were born and raised in them. Just be sure to use a felt pad or something else that will stay put in the globe positioned so that it covers the little slits that surround it. Wouldn't want them getting their little feet stuck! Did you pair a gouldain and an owl Finch?

Love the little owl finches,and love the globe nest there in,where did you get it.would love to buy some for my finches

hi Sean. You're not going to believe me when I tell you! When I first saw them, I knew that was exactly what I needed and wanted for my finches rather than the traditional wooden nesting box. I looked in all the local pet stores and frantically looked online and couldn't find it anywhere. I finally asked an attendant in PetSmart and he laughed and he told me follow me I'll show you where to get them. would you believe it's a hamster ball?! Just take the little top off that you put back on once you put the hamster in it and throw it away. then put felt pad in it a little coconut fiber and let them do the rest. They love them! thank you so much for your kind comments on my blessed little feathered friends. I'm very proud of them . I have to go now but I will come in again later and I want share some more pictures just haven't had the time and haven't been up to it. I'll try to find one right now. Take care.

Hi Sean, have you had any luck using the hamster balls as nests for your Gouldians? I've got five baby Gouldians in one right now and I expect they'll be fledging in about a week or so. I wanted to know how it was working out for you. I'll try to post some video of the babies soon. Take care!

Anita Miracle Hi Anita I got myself some of the hamster balls,there a great idea,but havnt used them yet,waiting till next season it's autumn here in ireland and the weather is getting colder,hope you and your little friends are keeping well,will keep you posted on how they get on.

I've learned that they will breed a lot in those small finch nests or balls, but when it comes to the babies, they will fledge too early and sometimes even fall out before they have feathers and end up dying on the floor if gone un-noticed. Meanwhile when you use a proper gouldian nest box, the babies only fledge until they have the strength and feathers to climb out the box.

Certains d'entre eux en profitant vraiment un repas spécial ou un bain, faire des tours, mes canaris chantant et mes étonnants Pinsons Owl favoriser les poussins Gouldian.
