Same bachelors degree I got from WGU. I then with for the MSITM right after.

I took a look at the Masters program, but decided not to take it because I didn't want to spend $4,000 for another degree. However, I am going to pursue the project management certification.

@@tehczavier Makes sense. I only went for a masters to open up management role. You do not really need a masters to get into management. I my self was already a manager with only a bachelors. However, there are some manger role that require a masters. As for a project management certification I would recommend the PMP. If your lean more towards agile project management I would also recommend the PMI-ACP or the CSM/PSM.

@@bengyfrancois152 thank you. I will definitely look into both of those certs amd add it to my 2023 learning roadmap. I appreciate all of your guidance. Happy New Year and much success to you!
thanks for the information, I am trying to get in WGU too , but they need me to get comptia plus.

@@tehczavier I'm going for the masters in cybersecurity, I have a Bachelor degree in Mgt so in order for me to get in to do a Masters in Cybersecurity I would have to get a prerequisite as Comptia plus is what they told me.

@@Journeywithgailc I see. That makes sense.
Great video. I keep hearing about the proctored exams. I have taken a few of those before. Just wondering how many proctored exams did you end up doing with this program?

I can't remember the exact amount but if you check out the video--specifically the description--I have a list of the courses and whether they require an exam, a paper, or both. Hope this helps. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWdt25iJecfdqc4.html

That's a great plan!! Understanding, interpreting, and modeling data are all great skills.
Question: do you need to pass any certifications like the ITIL in the Business Admin IT Management degree? I saw people saying the Business- IT applications course required that cert for the cybersecurity program and making sure that’s not the case in this program. I’m about to start and I’m so nervous so any info you have is greatly appreciated 👌🏾
@tehczavier
Жыл бұрын
The ITIL Cert doesn't apply to this degree--trust me I tried. But if you're taking a more technical degree program, then it does apply.

If I found myself stuck, I might ask myself which of the two options meets most of these needs: 1. Financial cost and financial opportunity 2. Time to learn and time to land a role 3. Ease

Go tech.... just saying.... then you can do Accounting in a second term. They don't offer dual enrollment due to their regional/national accreditation.

This degree doesn't have any certs as part of the program. However, I took the ITIL certification before deciding to go back to school, and I found it really helpful in understanding the business/workflow side of IT.

Yep there is no certification for the bachelors level of the program. However, if you get the Masters in Information Technology Management you can get the Certified Associate in Project Management certification (CAPM) from PMI.
