I wouldn’t say it was a weak attempt and underperforming. You just found a way to play healthier. I respect that. I had a similar journey (3rd trophy burn out in my years of TH) and I hope, I can continue with my new found healthier approach in 2024. (The missing Platinums in your Playstation summary are PS3 Platinums, am I right? My PS3 Platinums weren’t counted.)

Managed to earn 55 platinums this year! Definitely my best year. Amazing video and congrats on all the platinums and whatever other platinums you get next! I'm happy you mentioned Ghostrunner because I love that game so much! I could platinum it 50+ times and wouldn't be bored! I haven't played Sekiro but I know it'll be my favourite FromSoftware Game! Its an absolute masterpiece

Solid stats!!! Fun fact Plat Bro was the first person in gaming history to Platinum MGS1.......on the PS5. I too played RE Code V-X last year a little frustrating at times but a fun time too.Though I doubt I'll be going for the 100% on the PS3 version!

A new video from Vault Boy Steve - Christmas has come early 😂 Enjoyed the video. Still a decent year for you with a lot of quality games. Sekiro is my favourite Fromsoftware game and I still reckon that Until Dawn is the best Supermassive horror title. I’m currently on the fence whether to buy the RE4 remake. Did you still enjoy it as much after multiple play throughs? I note you said that your Mrs was blasting through Crash 4. Does she have the plat? I have the plats for Crash 1 and 3 but 4 looks another level again. I finished on 26 plats for 2023. Popped the Evil West plat today. Was a surprisingly decent game and also very challenging. Definitely worth a go if you haven’t already done it. My favourite triple A’s this year were Dead Space Remake, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, God Of War Ragnarok and Wo Long Fallen Dynasty. My best indies were Deaths Door, Dredge and Bramble The Mountain King. My hardest plats were probably Ghostrunner and Evil West. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanks 😅 Hell yeah, Sekiro is sooooo good, and I agree, Until Dawn was brill 😄 I personally enjoy RE4R every time I play it. I find RE games are more enjoyable the more you play and master them but I've heard some people do not like RE4R but not many :) Not yet, but only because she's not a fan of time trials, she has the ability, just doesn't like the stress of speed runs, but she blasts through all the rest 😅 it's definitely way harder than the trilogy but practice makes perfect with Crash imo 💪 Nice! I've had my eye on Evil West for a bit, may have to indulge soon 😅 Have a good Xmas and new year dude!!

I had no clue the PAL version of Code Veronica was harder, now I'm even more annoyed the PS3 version I got on my US account doesn't have a platinum 😢

Yep, slower framerate with an unchanged timer means PAL gets the hard end of the stick. A member of my discord rated the PAL as an 8/9 and found it harder than The Evil Within!

IMO, the game nails the aliens tension and vibe along with a great story and visual display. As long as you like this type of game you'll find it extremely satisfying and stressful 😅

There was a time I would earn like 50-60 platinum trophies a year; only got 22 this year. It’s been a few years now that I stopped trophy hunting like that

@@VaultBoySteve The best game I played d this year was definitely Ghost of Tsushima. The Last Of us Part 1 on PS5 was also a stand out for me. The game that surprised me the most was Cat Quest, I can't believe how much fun that game was! The hardest plat I earned was Jak II on VITA mainly due to how poor the control scheme was for it.

Really, if you were playing games and enjoying them, then that should be good enough. I know it can be hard to come to terms with, especially with how aggressively competitive trophy hunting often is nowadays, but this is an entertainment medium at the end of the day. We do this cause we enjoy it...for the most part. Personally, as of right now, I've managed to get 49 platinums so far this year. A fairly busier year than usual for me. Granted, I did end up playing a lot of shorter experiences, not as many RPGs essentially since those in particular tend to be very time consuming, but that's still a lot of games. Glancing through my history, I want to say there was only a single game I actively disliked, "RE4R", but that's about it thankfully. Oh, and 8 100% non-plats if those matter at all. Nothing too long but a few had some decent challenge to them, like "Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight". I've decided to start playing more games without platinums cause I am a gamer before I am a trophy hunter. I don't want to miss out on games I'd enjoy just cause there's no platinum. Besides, I'm plenty satisfied with my account as it is so I don't really mind anymore. That said, I do want to try to squeeze in maybe two or three more platinums but it's looking rather unlikely. The one I'm currently playing, "Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising", has glitched online trophies so that's frustratingly unfortunate. Only on the PS5 version as well, the PS4 version for some reason is just fine. It just released this past week so hopefully a patch is coming sooner than latter...if at all. The others I was planning to do, "Dead Space Remake" and "Death's Door", might be possible if I no life them but who knows.
