It's because the WD2 story is just focused around a bunch of activists making fools out of some scammers that are barely threats and doesn't kill people (same as WDLegion). Watchdogs 1 stands out better due to the fact that the protagonist is an actual crime fighter who kills and has a bigger impact on his city as a result.

It wasn’t enough to save watch dogs legion as a game, but it literally made me download the game and waste another 10$ just to get the DLC. I missed Aiden and Jacks so much. Jordi also. Wrench was just a bonus and made me miss Marcus.

WD 2 was my fav, the Legion could be better if the Bloodline is the main story and not only a DLC

That’s my honest take away, it’s ok but if they didn’t force the gimmick it had and gave us a main character then honestly I could see people liking it

Watch Dogs 1 was so cinematic! The fact Aiden could save civilians and hearing him say things like "get down", or "move" and how it can boost reputation it's so much fun to replay, the amount of interaction you can have in Chicago is unmatched especially with Aiden and his very fluid animations! For example if you put Aiden's hacking device away by pressing X on Xbox controller or Square on ps4,5 controller you can watch aiden push and shove people with special unique animations! it's so cool, and seeing Aiden not be so fluid in his animations during legion was quite disappointing. But all things considered his unique executions make up for the lack of animations!

I hope we get to play as Jordi in a game in the future. He's the modern day Assassin we never got to play as.

I still think WD2 was peak. WD1 had a really grim but good story, and it's just not for everyone. Watchdogs 2 just took WD1 and had the opposite atmosphere, improved on what worked, and still added more

The side characters aside from Wrench were rushed and given almost no depth, soundtrack was worse, driving was far too quick and wavey, open world wasn't as well put together and it all felt like a big open empty bunch of roads, it's not like the first one where it felt very realistic and on a ground level of underground hacking, TBones character arc over the dlc of 1 is ruined, instead of joining up with Tobias and Aiden to fight blume they just made him a hippy in the desert for no reason, parkour and combat was more fun but the idea of non lethal weaponry was pointless when there's no morality system or consequences for just blowing everyone up, the story is hot garbage, no real structure it's just go there hack and thing go there and steal a thing, not like the first one where you have to infiltrate meetings or sneak around a prison or storm a tower as a one man army.... I just finished 2 and it's like a massive letdown from 1, it should have stuck with the darker, more underworld hacker tone of the first game, it could hsve started out as a bunch of kids fighting the system but then they realise that it's not all graffiti and trolling... people die and get used and hurt and that the corporate world is very grey....but no......

WDL could’ve been wayyy better. The game should’ve had more body types (buff, fat, skinny, old, etc.), weapon 3D printer (like the one from WD2), and custom characters. It would be cool if we got to fully customize the first character and edit his stats as we please. Too bad Ubisoft hates fun for some reason.

I remember picking up the first watchdogs game with my dad at Walmart on the Xbox 360 9 years ago. I was 6 going on 7 at the time, now I'm 16 and in highschool.

For me : Watch Dogs 1 = 19/20 Watch Dogs 2 = 18/20 Watch Dogs Legion = 8/20

I personally think all of them were good watch dogs legion story mode was alright, but I liked what they did with all the activities online

I no longer replay the story of watch dogs 1 cause I didn't wanna go through getting 100% again, all I do is just free roam, explore around the city of Chicago at night time cause it's chill. Maybe even steal money form other people's bank accounts as I pass by

I'm so happy Aiden and Watch Dogs 1 finally got the recognition it deserved at launch. But everyone seemed so occupied with the downgrading and calling Aiden dull. When for me he's the same badassery level as Ezio in AC.

this game is the best game that has ever touched the earth. ive played it like 7 times now and beated it 100 percent every time. when the game ends i almost cry because of how good the game is. and how good the line is at the end of the game.

the reason why legion sucked was that IT DIDNT HAVE THE FUCKING BACKGROUND VIDEO IN THE MENU UNLIKE 1 AND 2

Everyone in legion looks and sounds so goofy. They stripped down gadgets and hacking so much too

I feel like if the developers would’ve focused more on creating the story and the background of the characters for Legion instead of putting you could be anyone you want. The game would’ve been a lot better, especially towards the end of the story it would’ve had a bigger impact.

First games ending actually made the karma system make more sense too. 2nd game made me sad they removed karma

Watch Dogs 1 will always be the best. Aiden is the most perfectly written tragic character trying to do good the only way he knows how so others don't have to lose their loved ones too. Watch Dogs 2 gave us a look at Ded Sec which was honestly really fun. Legion was trash. I didn't really connect with the story because there wasn't even really a character to connect with. Bloodline was really nice because it brought 1 and 2 together brilliantly. We just need another story with the Fox.

I'm gonna be the devil's advocate and say Watch Dogs Legion was pretty decent. I enjoyed it.

I would say that the story is goofy and a bit boring but when it comes to open world and gameplay, it's perfect

I have replicas of Aidens Coat from Musterbrands. And I have T-Bones Bad Blood denim jacket from ubisofts website. I’ve loved this series. I even played Legion multiple times. I’ll always appreciate what went into this series.

I mean, they tried something with legion. "Tried" and not "did", as they should have. Biggest missed opportunity of ubisoft imo

I would have preferred a prequel of how DecSec was made instead of Legion

I love the first 2 games. Legion honestly isn’t as bad as many people make it out to be. Had it not been permadeath I think it would’ve been widely regarded as “just another WD game”. I really hope if the series ever does get another shot, we see a return to form. A true follow up to the first game in terms of tone.
