Well it’s been over a year since my last watch collection video. I’ve actually added a bunch of new watches to the lineup, mostly because I acquired a website, theslenderwrist.com, and I’ve been buying or being sent watches to review.
If theslenderwrist sounds familiar, it’s because the original founder, Alessandro, used to have a KZread channel under the same name. He changed the name of that channel to @TimedSquare, and he still uploads videos about watches. He’s a great guy, and you should definitely go check out his videos.
Right now, The Slender Wrist is just a website, but I may start a KZread channel in the future. Comment below if you’d like to see a channel dedicated to wrist watches. Anyway, in this video, I’ll go over my current collection. These are the watches I actually wear, not every single watch I own right now.

I first came across your channel Brock when you reviewed the SKX. Since then, you got me into watches and mens style. You're a true gentleman and your content online is brilliant. Congratulations on the new website 👏

Careful. Watches can be addictive. Either quantity or quality wise, it is easy to let things get out of hand.

I’m not much of a collector (of anything) so I don’t worry about quantity. I agree it’s tempting to keep leveling up in value, although not sure if I’d be comfortable wearing anything pricier than the Explorer on my wrist.

@@BrockMcGoff good for you, and that Explorer is one fine watch. Maybe all the watch anyone really needs, except for a beater, and maybe a dress watch. I am 25 years plus into collecting watches, and I still get caught up in the just 1 or 2 more trap.

I have a santos dumont. Don’t let the “large” and “xl” monickers fool you one or the other could work with a smaller wrist
The video I’ve been waiting to see for a while; love the collection and keep up the great work!

Fine choice with that Lorier! I have a Gemini and a Hyperion from them and I absolutely love the models. My first Rolex was the new explorer, you’ll love the updated model.
I haven't bought a new watch for a while. The last watch I bought was a Ricoh automatic mechanical watch from the 1980s
What a beautiful and unique collection!
Thanks for the updated collection video, Brock! Cheers, man.

Great review. I myself have a slender wrist and I feel that a JLC reverso would make a wonderful addition to your collection. I have a reverso duo and absolutely love it.
Beautiful collection, dude! Love all them.
That taupe dial is just insane. Its just amazing, definitely your best watch.
My last watch purchase was the Lorier Falcon II. Same blue dial. Totally agree about the Casio f-91. For my beater casio i went with the W-86
I can't argue, your collection is pretty much what I would choose. I have a few of your choices such as the seiko 013, also I have an older alpinist with green dial. I recently developed an interest in vintage tanks by American makers mainly because of the smaller sizes and in my opinion very elegant look, especially for more formality. Will definitely check out your new website and thank you for addressing the smaller wrists crowd.

Awesome! Let me know what you think of the site.
I remember years ago I suggested you get an Explorer and you replied that it was your grail watch. I see you got one!
That lorier is soo beautiful. I absolutely love the bracelet with the angled style and brushed finish. It's kinda like the tissot prx. If only they had the end link also flat then it would be perfect
I love my 2021 36mm Rolex Explorer and started to look into smaller sized watches and really enjoy the JLC Reverso Medium Small seconds. It comes with a brown leather strap that leans more to casual, but can easily be switched to a more dressy look. I also got the Cartier Santos in medium recently and like it more than the large for my 6.5in wrist. I think you should also try the Reverso - very classy and easy to wear.
I think a navy leather strap would look amazing on your Datejust. I'm a huge fan of the navy strap and silver dial combo. Give it a try!
I was wondering what happened with Alesandro and suddenly saw you when I went to the website. Definitely makes sense now. Thanks for the quick look into your collection.
Love the collection
Someone with a slander wrist myself I gotta thank you for helping me choose the skx013 all those years ago, it's been years and there's still no real dive watch under 40mm for the initial price of an skx013 in the market today
Very cool collection, and what a perfect size 6 watches!!!
Great selection
Great video I have yet to see an actual Lorier, but they seem like a great brand
My watch collection is pretty weird at many points. It all started with a Timex Expedition that my father gave me when I was 14. But my passion for watches started when I was 16. Then my parents gave me a Lorus watch that got actually pretty beat up during all of these years. 9 months later I bought my first own watch which was the Seiko 5. That thing has also been worn a lot. Then shortly after I turned 18 I needed a more sporty watch. So I bought a Casio Fishing Gear. Before the High School Graduation as a dress watch I acquired the Timex Weekender Fairfield. During the longest break I had a lot of watches came into my possesion. W800H, A168 and Edifice EFA120. When I went into college I got a Citizen Chronograph as a gift. During covid times my collection expanded into Casio Oak and Citizen Marine Automatic. Year after that I bought an Edifice chronograph and DW6500 G-Shock. I also got an Orient quartz dress watch. 2 of the last watches I bought are automatic. Swatch Sistem51 is the first one and the other is the Timex Marlin.
That's a solid collection, Brock! I'm with you about "distressed" jubilee bracelets. So much so that I kept the one on my SKX013 - pure janky awesomeness. It's great to see you taking TSW to a whole new level :) Take care!

I do recommend replacing your Rolex Explorer 114270 from my perspective as an owner of the new Rolex Explorer. It’s just a lot more of a solidly constructed watch. The entire bracelet is solid! It has an amazing Caliber 3230 residing within the watch that are also in Rolex’s other professional models. Accuracy is +2/-2 sec per day and it’s anti magnetic with 70hr power reserve. So it’s quite a huge departure from the previous 36mm. That said, some collectors do like the older ones more because of their feel. It’s all up to you if you swap it with the new Explorer. If you do, you’ll end up with another amazing watch. Also, the Cartier Santos it’s in my watchlist 😂. Stay safe Brock!

Yes, I would recommend getting on the list. Wouldn’t pay over retail of course. I just picked up the 124270 and love it. I did own the 39mm version but just didn’t click. Ricky is right, it’s just a feel thing, and since you don’t have an emotional connection to the 114270, just see which you like better. Another point is that the new version has AR under the crystal which really helps legibility and makes the dial prettier in my opinion. Thanks Brock for a great video

@@Rancid_Ziggy noted, thanks for your input! I don't have a relationship with any AD since I've always gone preowned, but might be worth getting on a list anyway...
With the SKX discontinued, I've become a huge fan of the Long Island Watch company divers. I've seen the SKX for about $1k plus these days. I'll get 3 Islander watches for that price tag.

Where’s your Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical?
Nice collection. But they're all black and white. Do you think to have a colored ( at least blue or green ) dial watch?
@BrockMcGoff
Жыл бұрын
The Lorier is navy blue. It might just look black in some lighting scenarios.
I need your help. Would anyone have a recommendation for a watch? It should have a diameter of 35-38mm and a maximum of 45mm lug to lug, have sapphire glass, 5-10bar, max. 10mm high and a quartz movement or solar with at least 5 years battery life. In terms of price, I imagine around €300. Visually, it should be sporty but also minimalistic. optics such as a gs 263 or rolex op / explorer1 or an omega aqua terra or something in the direction of the Bauhaus style. I hope for a few suggestions. (I already have a tissot prx35 and junghans milano solar would be an option, but maybe you can think of something else. Greetings from Germany
Keep the explorer. Bought the new one and my AD allowed me to return it. Too dainty even for my 6.25 inch wrist. The older ones had more presence on the wrist with the bracelet on

No such thing as 'Hacking' in the watch world - the term is actually 'adjusting'. You hack a computer - never a watch.
