My visit to Warsaw Poland 2024.

Музыка

In Warsaw this May, I was like a tourist on a sugar rush - everything looked fascinating and I just kept shoving sightseeing into my schedule. Talk about a travel itinerary that disintegrated faster than the ice cream on a hot day.
Sure, I planned on hitting the downtown stuff, then Łazienki Park (where Chopin apparently chills as a statue), and Wilanów Palace, a fancy royal residence that screams "Netflix period drama." Conveniently, all accessible by bus - because who needs an Uber when you can experience the joy of rush hour with fellow sardine enthusiasts?
But folks, what my epic travel vlog definitely won't show you are the 3-meal-a-day pierogi binges. Let's just say, my skinny jeans are now on speaking terms with my mom jeans. Downtown by the Warsaw Central station, there's this giant mall called Złote Tarasy - it's got everything from socks to smartphones to enough diamonds to blind a disco ball. And food! Oh, the food courts that beckoned like a siren song composed entirely of kielbasa.
Then there's Old Town, a place that looks like it stepped out of a fairytale (because, spoiler alert, it mostly did). Germans in WWII went full "urban renewal" project, but the Poles rebuilt it using old blueprints and photos - gotta hand it to them for their historical accuracy, even if it did take all the fun out of those "guess what this used to be?" games.
For panoramic views that would make even the most jaded Instagram influencer gasp, there are rooftops - Warsaw University Library and St. Anne's Church. Seriously, breathtaking. And afterwards, you can stroll along the Vistula River, a fancy way of saying "walk by a river."
Now, Łazienki Park and Wilanów Palace are further out, and let me tell you, packing a picnic is your best friend. Unless you fancy a post-palace McFlurry, which is a vibe, but not the vibe most people are going for at a royal residence.
Four days in Warsaw, folks. That's what I'm recommending. Four glorious days of pierogi, palaces, and pondering the philosophical question: can one truly have too many rooftop viewpoints?
