i was buying vinyl in the 70`s , i noticed you mention 60`s fleetwood mac l do like both 60`s & 70`s different genre`s/style & lineup . i regret not seeing either live , although i had the chance to see peter green & friends may 2010 live with my son (who was 15 at time) at a converted barn frome, somerset uk at a bargain £25 a ticket . someone at the gig shouted out peter your a legend to which peter replied yes i`m a Leg End , he didn`t like all the money, fame that went with being a famous musician . parked the car and checked i got some cash/tickets and peter green with one of the young musicians walked past and i admit didn`t know what to say so i never got the chance to speak to him

Agreed! There was a fire raging in music during the 60-70s. This fire spread into the music of the 90s, and by that I mean Nirvana, Soundgarden, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, Chili Peppers, etc. I hope those embers can save music again soon!

Another old fart here from the 60s record buying public. The incredible work you put into these videos is a gift to all of us who love these discs. I gave all my albums to my daughter a few years back. There's duplicate copies of some because I literally wore them out and repurchased them when I could scrape up a few bucks. It's nice to hear about some of these forgotten treasures and to see some of the magic from those times passed forward to another generation.

32:07 Jethro Tull is honestly an underrated group. I like Aqualung a lot. However, one album of theirs that's criminally underrated is Heavy Horses. I got the CD of it as a gift from my aunt and uncle. It sounds completely different from Aqualung; while Aqualung is like hard rock with some acoustic songs, Heavy Horses on the other hand is almost entirely a folk album, but it's a great listen. The songs are definitely more upbeat and wholesome than the songs on Aqualung. My favorite song from it is "Journeyman."

I have that Pet Sounds/Carl and The Passions double. When the Beach Boys got signed to Warner Bros and left Capitol they took Pet Sounds with them and released that in 1972. They smartly used Brian's original mono mix of Pet Sounds (unlike some Capitol reissues with a tinny sounding reprocessed stereo) so it sounds great and there are some good songs on So Tough ('Hold On Dear Brother' comes to mind) so that's a good one to have

Niice collection. If you're not a fan already, you should check out The13th Floor Elevators and Guided By Voices. I think they would match your (excellent)taste in music. Cheers!

Killer is great, it's my favorite AC. Crazy World of AB is a great find, every collection deserves that one. I only recently got Tapestry, had to get it for the Gilmore GIrls song, love that show. I just got a lot of Cheap Trick, I am huge into Power Pop and they are really great. Love The Doors, they are so great live, the 'absolutely live' is great. I have that Judy Garland record, got it for 50 cents at the goodwill, its a fun record.

The only Grateful Dead I have is a pristine copy of Europe '72, a kingly gift from a friend whose groovy dad passed away recently. If you find it, snap it up. I really enjoy it and I'm not what you'd call a big fan so it would probably suit you right down to the ground.

@8:03..I saw Bill Haley and the Comets play at halftime at a Philadelphia Eagles game in the 1960s. Rock 'n roll was going through a transition then, and there wasn't enough time distance to appreciate his contribution to music.

Abigail, nice collection. Highly recommend (I own 2 copies of each) Captain Beyond and Captain Beyond-Sufficiently Breathless from '72-'73. Original 1st CBeyond has 3D cover (original pressing was 200K with 3D cover) Greatest rock band you never heard of....

Nice collection. Alan Parsons was a radio staple in the 80's, DJ's back then being mostly dude music geeks favored prog rock type bands like Yes, Peter Gabriel, Police, ELP, Rush etc etc. Girls generally weren't into stuff without a danceable beat

JOURNEY!!!! I must turn you on to Journey before Steve Perry. Their first 3 albums. I think you'll dig them more. they where a jazzfusion band before goin for a more mine streem sound with Perry. like Fleetwood Mac was a band before Stevie & LB. The captured album tho? HOT LIVE ALBUM. I believe it was the bands peek.
