This video began (with a kiss for Anne and calling her Darling) and ended (Bruno's kiss and ecstatic greeting) perfectly! Everything in between .... Buddy, the weather, scenes of beautiful NZ, your commentary, and great videography ... was top-notch and left the audience feeling like they're actually on the trip with you once again. You really have done a superlative job, Tony!

Holy Moly, Tony, you weren't kidding when you said you had a long driveway. How do you get up and down it if you have an ice storm! I know the answer to that; very carefully. I think your new camper is great; it does have a lot of personality and the former owners took excellent care of it. Good choice. Loved the video but it does lose a bit when Bruno is not with you. Just love that dog.

I love to see how things are done in other countries too. Everything in New Zealand (or at least this part of NZ) is so clean, well taken care of and modern compared to the US. We have so much trash all over, rundown buildings and overgrown, dead vegetation everywhere because most Americans (including local governments) have little to no respect for their country and fellow countrymen. I love to see countries like NZ where it's obvious that the citizens care about their homeland like Japan and Scandinavian countries.

Very cool camper Tony! I know you are going to upgrade it to the max! It will be epic to watch what you do with the battery system, lighting other improvements along the way. Once you put your personal touch on this van it will be awesome! You needed something like this to lesson the load on yourself as none of us are getting any younger. This makes things shall we say "a little less grim".

I don't know if anyone else did a quick search but I saw this camper advertised in California for $27,000 so I'd say you did pretty good based on my quick look. What a great little camper!

Tony, that was a grim but fun journey! You had me laughing out loud several times. “I can see(sea) out. Thank you. I’m here all week”. You crack me up😂🤣. Absolutely loved seeing Bruno welcoming you home. You two have such a special bond. And it’s clear that a camping park is just not your style. (I agree. There’s just too many people and kids too close and way too noisy). It’s hard to enjoy the surrounding nature. I hope you find those remote areas in your South Island to have “BUDDY” take you and Bruno on future adventures. 💙💙

Hello Tony, That is an interesting camper van. Can't wait to see how things go. For water tank make sure to sanitize it frequently. They can become a bacteria farm very easily. Add some solar, lithium, an inverter and you'll be set. I can't believe how good of shape it's in for the age.

Love the new camper. You might get some “Lego” stacking blocks to help level camper. Amazon sells them or any Walmart style store. You’ll love it. Like you said, it’s warm and dry. Sometimes you just want to go camping but it’s cold or rainy and you don’t want to deal with the rain, cold and tents.

What sealed it for me was when you asked that lady if she needed a hand with her luggage. It’s a small thing and should be a natural occurrence but it speaks volumes about you as a person. It doesn’t matter what you are doing, Tony, your videos are always entertaining!! New Zealand is a gorgeous country. 🫣 Here, we really had a chance to view the beautiful scenery as you traveled around; instead of just at a pretty camping area. I love Buddy! He is just the perfect size for you… not too big, just right (she said)!😄 I didn’t know if you have toilet facilities on board until you emptied the tank. Do you have a little shower area, too? I love how the interior is outfitted. Plenty of places to put stuff… and that comfy looking bed! Such a cozy area up there. I know that you will love camping in your new toy for years. Thanks for taking along on his “maiden” voyage. Bruno really hated to be left behind, I could tell! His greeting at the end was so fun to watch. Loved this. Can’t wait for the grim one soon! I Have to tell you this Sir, I am a very depressed person and i havent LAUGHED like this in Years until i watched you pump up a tent in a rain storm and in a puddle and take a trip to see a valcano but couldnt see it because of the rain, i mean i was holding my stomach laughing so hard, Thank you Sir and God Bless you I Am a fan now and foreverf !!! Great video. Congratulations!!! I think it’s best that you had such “grim” weather because so many maiden trips fool owners about the condition of their campers. You were able to test leaks, heat and rattling cupboards.

Those sounds are absolutely magnificent. Went through them 35 years ago just stunning scenery. So peaceful and green. Lovely memories.

I Love the idea of having cabins on the ferry, wish we had that in 🇨🇦, what a great idea, my husband and i too now, hate being around screaming kids etc. Loved this video, was nice to take us on that trip with you. Something different. I enjoyed it very much.

Congrats on the camper van, it looks like it was well taken care of. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do to make it your own and what kinds of adventures you get in. I already know what your first catastrophe will be, as a former owner of a camper with a front facing refrigerator, it's only a matter of time before you forget to latch the door properly and have the contents end up spread out all over the floor when you hit the brakes.

Totally with you on the kids! As a single camper who's wife refuses to go camping I find it difficult in west Australia to find a time when the kids are at a minimum! I just cant remember having that much time off school when I was at school! To be fair children should be allowed to run a bit wild when camping but there is not much free style camping here due to such strict Parks & Wildlife rules. How many KM,s are on the van Tony? I doubt I could find one in that condition for that price In WA.

loved the first video with the RV. Unfortunately we did not get a good view at the volcano. Enjoyed the views of the road and towns. Would love to see more sites of NZ. The RV is in excellent condition. I can see why 4x4 is necessary. I did missed bruno on the road trip. Excellent filming.

Tony I am just enjoying your videos more and more every time you put one out. You just seem so genuine and you really do everything you can to make an interesting video. I love the camper van, "Buddy". When you climbed in the bed, I had flashbacks of you camping in the cab of your truck but it looks like you've got more room and its much more comfortable in Buddy. A question for you If you see this post. What is the point of switchbacks in the road ? And bear in mind, I'm in Wisconsin and we have no need for anything Like that. Just curious.

I’m enjoying this! Brings back memories of our Toyota micro motorhome from the 80s…and my year or so as an RV saleswoman not long after. Ah, trying to relax with 3 hyperactive sons who were like Bruno, wanting to run in rain and snow while you really need a chair and a little “me” time. May you have fun and many happy trips-. 😂

My very good friends have an older RV like this one. And I realize it's the same floor plan. Having the kitchen in the back is just awesome and the way the table and the couches is incredible. You did good. This is what I found was my favorite floor plan of everyone i've ever looked at, and i've been in a lot of rv's. Having a kitchen that nobody's gonna keep walking through is just really excellent. Enjoy❤

Very cool, and a bit envious! The adjustment, much like our switch from '97 pop up to hybrid camper. FYI, if you're cooking inside, be prepared for regular clean up, as it gets greasy quickly, even with vent fan. And when gas is turned on, it takes a bit for it to reach the stove, and fridge too (and on elect or gas, fridge takes a lot of time to cool down). And switching to LED lights inside, all around, will preserve battery, makes a huge difference. Oh yeah, quite an adjustment! And it's great being able to stop anywhere, makes trips so easy.

Loved the whole episode, just like with any travels, it doesn’t always go according to what we expect. Love that you got a window room, I would have done exactly the same Tony. What a location you live in and what a driveway!! That would be some exercise walking up lol😅 The reunion with Bruno was beautiful. There is nothing more special than being greeted by our fur kids.
