Hi Patti, I've just recently come across your channel and I just love it :) I am 18 and have always had a fascination with ageing gracefully and older women who like to take care of themselves. I guess you could say I just have a huge respect for older women who never gave up on their looks :) I think it's amazing that you have made a KZread channel despite the fact that it's seen as such a "youngster scene". I only wish more mature women would do the same! From what I've watched you seem like such a genuinely lovely woman and I can't wait to learn more about how you maintain yourself and stay so beautiful :) I know you must get these types if comments a lot but I truly mean everything I say. Everyone seems so afraid of ageing but it's women like you that actually make me look forward to my 70's! I've always loved makeup and fashion and taking good care of myself. Life has thrown our family some hits the last few years, so self-care wasn't always top on the list. I am 52 years old and I am a grandma. I am so happy about my age, there is no way that I would ever want to go back to being young. I do have a channel here, but I am so small that I have not had "my first hater". However if I do, oh well that is just their opinion. Other peoples opinions matter very little to me. Maybe that is one of the many gifts of being our age. Patti, you are an amazing Woman! Keep up the fabulous job!

If that's what a grandma looks like, I can't wait until someone calls me one! You're gorgeous, funny, and I just subscribed!

Love your channel, your fun videos filled with the joy, and appreciation of life and all it has to offer!! I will be 60 next April 2015 and feel so so blessed to be fortunate enough to be experiencing all this time of life has to offer. My mother passed away at 48 years of age, I was 14 and I often think of the blessing she was in my life but also, I think that I wish she could have experienced grandchildren, the wisdom of age, and the excitement of "reinventing" ourselves as we go. So, I think you're "hater" was indeed not good at it, being "old" is not a dirty word, it is a word which can mean wisdom, grace and opportunity beyond measure. I watch your videos with my morning coffee and you are a gem, gracious, charming and true. Keep up the good work!

I am so sorry you had to experience something like this. I hope you will be able to just let it go and know that the person that was a hater has probably done it to many other people because they have been hated on. Please be able to rise above this, you are so much more, and you bring so much happiness to so many with your wonderful videos. Please don’t stop publishing your videos, there are so many people that enjoy them. Again, I am just so sorry for what you’re going through which was caused by somebody who just is abusing social media.

I am 52 turning 53 this year. I am so happy to have found your channel. I find some of the techniques you use are also helpful to everyone at any age. My Mom is a widow in her late 70s and I have been teaching her some of your tips, and she has got a wonderful, respectful boyfriend and he is amazed they are the same age and she looks 10 to 15 yrs younger than him once she is put together. Ignore the hater and just know we older ladies love you and appreciate all you help and tips. 😇🙏

Hi Patti, ever since I was a little girl, I have been drawn toward older people. I have always loved listening to their life experience and wisdom. I am 59 years old now and when I turned 53 I became a grandmother. I have a beautiful granddaughter, my only, her name is Alexandra, she calls me babushka! This has been the greatest blessing in my life! It's so sad that there are so many mean spirited people out there, I believe they are just unhappy, unfulfilled and need prayers! Haters usually have jealous spirits. They not only are jealous of your beauty but also jealous of your sweet spirit. So wonderful that you reinforced the positive reaction that I've been working on in my latter years. We can't control actions of others but have all control of our reaction. My confidence had been wrecked in childhood, but I'm conquering and smiling more these days. I just love you so much, and shared with my therapist that you have helped me so much not only with aging beautifully but feeling confident for the first time in my life

Hi Patti, this is 2021, many years after you made this video, but I just had to respond. I have been a subscriber for a few months now and decided to watch your earliest videos and this one just made me smile. Although I have had two KZread channels (one since 2008!) for many years, I only became serious about vlogging over the past couple of years. I always said that when I got my first thumbs-down I will have "arrived," but I have to admit it stung a little bit. But then I watch KZreadrs such as yourself who get a few with each video, (because at this point you have tens of thousands of subscribers) handle it with such grace, style and humor and I remember the big picture. We are here to share, support and entertain and most people receive us with an open heart. You are still a gorgeous lady and I really enjoy watching you. Patti, I'm 56 years old and when my daughter told me I was going be a Grandma So I had to decide what I wanted him to call me. Well I didn't have to think about it, I told my Daughter I will be called Grandma. I guess I should of mentioned I'm divorced from my daughters father, but he is remarried. Then my son in laws Mother 🙄 said way before Michelle even got pregnant..I'm not going to be called Grandma cause I'm just to young for that, I'm Gigi 🤢🤮🤭. Well I sat my Daughter down and said, I Had so much Love for my 2 Grandmother's I don't care if I'm 20, there are 7 children in my family. My Grandmother's were part of each one of us , in their own way. My Mothers mother remarried when I was only 3, my Step Grandfather was like my real Grandad. My father's mother lived 8 hours from us but we went and stayed for weeks at a time, and we all Cherished each of our own memories about my Loving, Caring, The Kindest, 4 Grandparents could ever want. I feel like my mother & father passed that baton to US 7 children like here is your reward. Go have your own families and cherish those babies, then you will know the true meaning of Love when your Grandchildren come ❤. What A Honor, My son in laws Mother is all about me me me. She lives 15 20 mins away from her son an his family, she saw that baby one hour in the entire 2020 year. I've watched him everyday since he was born, he will be starting kindergarten in the fall, My husband treats that special angel like he is his, my daughter too. People are so full of hate for each other with zero respect for themselves, so they can't show respect for anyone else and these younger generations are destroying their future and they don't have a clue. I'm sorry I wrote so much, but I also went and ordered me some Sq headbands and I Love them. I told the girls you sent me . Take care you sweet lady.

This is so bazaar that I just watched you first the first time today. I was feeling rather low and when I started watching you, I started to smile. @dustyd48 I'm about to turn 68 and have recently found the lovely Patti on here and am now an avid follower. I live in a village in the northwest of England (population about 1,000), and there have always been some older women here who've stood out from the crowd, because of all they've done and achieved in their lives and their inherent wisdom. I hold these women in such high esteem, I can't tell you, and I've felt so lucky to have their inspiring presence in my life. I mean, for example, dancing to pop music down in the village hall well into your 70s and 80s is the norm around here, and driving a van full of donated clothing many times to eastern European orphanages right up to age 88 or running marathons, post-cancer, at 60, that sort of thing, is what they get up to. Now, I'm finding even more fabulous women, on KZread, who are a little bit older than me and who are showing me how to live! That is, they've broken stereotypes, something I admire! One of my other favourites, way up on my list with Patti, is a lovely woman called Margaret Manning. Do check out her Sixtyandme page on here and on Facebook. Loads of good discussion on there, including makeup and health.

I am a gramma and a great gramma and it is the best thing that could happen in our lives. I feel so blessed that my oldest great-granddaughter is 15 and still loves to chat and text with me!!! My other great grands are alot of fun also!

I think you are absolutely drop dead gorgeous! I just turned 61 and you have given me such inspiration to stop thinking I am now to old to try and get back what nature and my disabilities has stolen from me. I think your an absolute inspiration, I'm actually sitting down watching your KZread videos, and I absolutely love them. I've just qualified as a therapist at the age of 35 and was studying with young girls age 16 and above, did not bother me as I am comfortable in what god gave me. I’m new to your channel & I adore you! You’re such a beautiful lady inside & out. As far as your “hater” I think when people are nasty for no reason they’re just miserable people & they don’t even like themselves. They feel so ugly & miserable inside that they usually try to hurt the people they’re jealous of to make themselves feel better. It’s actually sad if someone feels that miserable & when I come across someone like that I try my best to be so kind to them because what they really need is Love or kindness shown to them. They most likely have had a hard life or a loss & when they see that we will be kind to them no matter how hateful they want to be something eventually changes in them. As if their hard hurt heart starts to soften because of our kindness towards them & they learn how to be kind & love themselves. I hope you have a blessed day Patti, you’re such a wonderful person.

I will be 71 this year, and have 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I never knew either of my grandmothers much less any great grandparents. They are such a light in my husband’s and my life. I only hope one day to have more. I would say “many more” but i’ve already been told to forget that!😄. Keep doing those videos. I do so enjoy them.

Just found your channel and can I just say that you are adorable! Keep on laughing at those haters. I'm turning 50 in a couple of months and have been feeling a little 'blue' about it but you have given me a much needed 'kick in the pants' and just to get over it already! Rock on rxstrmom!

Hey Patti! I’ve been one of your subscribers for a long time but I just saw this video. I laughed so hard my stomach hurts!! I love you!! You’re a beautiful lady inside and out and so funny at times! I’ve learned a lot from your channel. I love your “calmness” and sense of inner happiness and words of advice that make me feel so positive! I’m a Southern Belle and will turn 60 in January. I think I look better with age - I know that sounds weird but I do! About that hater - the only reason I can think of as to why a “person” (?) would write something bad about another person is because they want to feel better about themselves by dragging someone else down. They are narcissists. That hater needs to learn how to hate better though. (I agree with you!) I absolutely LOVED this video and I absolutely LOVE you!!! Stay as beautiful and funny and most of all as inspiring about life and happiness as you are now!!! Congratulations for getting your first “hater”!!! LOL!!!

Thank you so much..you don't know how much I appreciate you subscribing to me. I'm so glad you found me !! Aging is a funny thing..my mother once told me that it's better than the alternative! I just think we need to get up each day and strive to be the best we can be and I've learned, that for me, that when I just do a little bit to take care of my appearance I feel so much better. It's sort of like wearing pretty underwear - you may be the only person who knows it but it just makes you feel good. 56 is still young, trust me. I think you are going to start to see some wild and crazy changes not only in your body but in your mind and in your spirit. That's what's happened to me and my girlfriends. We are actually getting better with age because we truly like where we are in our hearts and souls. We can laugh and cry at the saggy skin on our arms and necks and faces. And wonder where in the world that saggy skin came from just above our knees. We just appreciate that we are reasonably healthy. I've always said that I'll never be the prettiest, I'll never be the ugliest, the richest or the poorest, the smartest or the-well you know. I just had to figure out how to be happy and the rest has fallen into place. So, hang in there and know that you have lots of support here on youtube..hugs patti :-)

I realize my comment is a bit late as I only just found you about a week ago, but I love you and am quite jealous that you look younger than me and I am 54! Keep doing what you're doing....haters gonna hate, as they say. You just keep being you! XO
