Yes I have 3 solar panels and fan. No room for anything else. I need that power for Starlink and laptop.

Now you gotta put some weather protection stuff on the wood so your wood won’t go bad on you. All weather go to the hardware store and figure out what you need to put on that wood.

There is no “maybe”. Absolutely seal that wood, or it will look terrible soon enough.

Wow! Mateo, you had me, lol. I was broke down a few years ago right off a main highway in the middle of a town. It took the tow truck 5 hours to find me. The dispatch was in China, and they didn't know directions in the US. It turned out that it was also my fuel pump in my vw beetle. It was almost a hundred degrees out that summer here in Texas. I had to keep calling the tow truck who was given the wrong directions by dispatch. Anyway I'm glad that you finally got back OK. The roof deck is awesome! you did a great job. Thanks for taking us all on this adventure. ❤

I love the deck! I hope whatever Gossamer needs to get going is not too big of a job! Steely Van has been in the shop since the 7th. She and I broke down about the same time (I had a lupus flare that I’m finally on the better side of). I get her back on the 25th.🤞🏼Thankfully, I’m able to stay with my stepdaughter here in WA, so that’s fortunate. Here’s to soundly running vans, healthy bodies & kitties, and to getting back on the road soon! 🥂☮️

Sorry to hear the van broke down. I hope its not going to cost an arm and a leg to fix it. The deck looks awesome, however, wouldnt you feel more secure with a railing around one of the edges?

The jubilation you felt after completing the roof deck for sure is the sign of better things to come. ESPECIALLY with you being at the forefront of making them happen yourself. I myself am not a handy man but I must say I commend you for still jumping in head first with these projects. Kudos Mateo!

Phew! For a while, I was worried you were going to stick to your initial plan and paint the van in a dark color. Gossamer will thank you by keeping you and Lars cool inside when it matters most. Don't forget to water proof your deck , it looks great .👍🏼🥰

The first step on your van roof on the actual roof itself maybe you should get some of that non slip sandpaper stuff for your step 1st step so its not slippery for when it is wet on top or if your shoes are wet going up and coming down from walking in rain puddles or beach or from the dew in grass.and maybe add extra nuts to bolts for extra security. Yea I disagree totally. The roof deck he really needs is to cover that roof with as much solar as possible NOT covering it with superfluous weight to get 6ft higher off the ground. For the love of God...😩
