My truck's in the body shop, here's the loaner car I got!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After the first loaner car didn't work, I was loaned this 2001 Buick LeSabre Custom. It runs well and looks good.
It's also very likely that I put a dent in my fuel economy by letting the Buick idle one day when it was very cold.

27 is not old by any means. I drove a 2001 Le Sabre for several months and usually got 20 mpg with it. These are nice cars that hold their value better than some makes ending in a vowel. It's a shame GM replaced this with the Lucerne.

Seeing the volume knob on the stereo rotate as you turned down the volume with the steering wheel was pretty neat.

No, Dynaride is just Buick's name for base suspension. You have the G67 load-leveling suspension option..unrelated to Dynaride.

I have a 2002 buick century and sometimes it takes a bit more cranking to start and i cant tell if it's started, and sometimes i give the people around me the impression that i'm a show-off when i rev it to see if it's on. haha

what kind of "package" was this buick? my grandfather used to own a 2001 buick lesabre custom but it only had a cassette deck and it didn't tell you the fuel economy nor did it have the radio controls on the steering wheel, so i'm wondering if this was a higher up model then the "base" model my grandfather owned.

in europe we get like 15km per litre on average cars, dont know how many MPG that is, but im sure its more economic than those American cars. we dont have a V6 in it, we use 1.6 or 1.8litr 4 cilinder petrol the most.

I guess the tach is driven by the computer on these newfangled vehicles, rather than having a direct hookup to the ignition. Looks like the ECM is out to lunch for the first few seconds after starting it, before it finally decides to start driving the gauges. Maybe they did that deliberately, but I suspect it's just lazy coding in the startup procedure.

The Mileage on that disappoints me. In Australia, we used to have a car known as the valiant charger, from the Australian Chrysler. One of those cars was the Australian version of the Charger one of which My cousin drives and he used to go into the city and home in a day got a mileage of around 28 to 30. I'd have expected a smaller stroked engine to do better. Speaking of the old charger, those who have not been in one, try it. 0-80 Kmph with no problem and all in First gear with room for more.

that is what my grandma drove, my grandpa, my sister, and what i am going to be driving soon. the is comfortable but it sucks. for some reason the clock barely works. you have to hit it for it to come on. and the interior is falling apart.

i love magic tree's i hung the 'new car smell' in my car, and the things are so strong that you dont smell that i smoke in the car :), yes, a few smokers remain on this planet, i wish it was a 3.8, but unfortunatelly its only a 1.8 5speed manual, it gets to a max of 190 (kmh) and it pulls up nice and fast, then again, it only ways 1 metric ton.

we have a 2000 LeSabre custom... I love buicks more than anything but its been a pretty terrible car overall. Its fully loaded with leather and everything except auto climate control.. all the interior lights have burned out, its rusty, and just enless problems. By the way thats the way the vent is supposed to be.. ive noticed the floor vents in the front dont do that much in a car of its size.

The fan on my 2008 Impala works that way too. Its not to me a direct hookup. You make the fan speed change and you are really telling a computer what you want it to do. Then it does it. In fact all the controls in my Impala work that way. Not direct like the 1985 Caprice and the 1981 Bonneville I have.

***** You have a point that many people of other countries still use old imperial units here and there depending on which habits have died out or not. e.g. In Britain the road signs are still using miles, not KM......but, officially, the only countries who have not adopted the metric system officially are; US, Myanmar (formerly Burma) and Liberia........anyway, I'm familiar and cool with both systems. Love your videos! Especially like the car videos.
