When you look at bottles, many times you can look at what's embossed on the bottom of the bottle. Sometimes it's cool information like on the older bottles it may say the city the bottle was made in or something like that and the newer bottles will have just letter codes.

Interesting video! I had to check on the fluorescent lights, and from wikipedia it seems they were common place by the 1940s with most lighting being fluorescent by 1951.

JP that old farm house was definitely from the late 1960s, to the early 1970s Era. That last calender with 1972 on it, makes more sense. Then you have furniture that is more time related to the 1970s. But that is a lot of old TVs from the 60s and 70s that is an amazing time capsule. That's a 1967 Chevy pickup truck

The pulley at 41:11 reminds me of the jury rigged one my father had on his dairy farm to use an 4HP electric motor to wind the ring-drive silo unloader back to the top of the silo before we started chopping corn in the fall. Every year I got to spend a bunch of time being the (semi?)intelligent counterweight to keep the V-belt tensioned - pushing down on one end of an iron bar placed through the eye bolt atop the motor and under one of the bands on the concrete stave silo. BTW one you may enjoy is behind Keystone College's campus. There used to be a passenger rail service (trolley?) on the hill behind the college and the foundation of a station still existed when I was a student there (before it made the jump from two to four years.) There are also at least two pairs of anchor points for a suspension bridge between the area of that station and around Harris Hall; concrete masses with hooks extending horizontally. Two are behind Harris Hall in the flood plain of South Branch of the Tunkhannock Creek but two others are well up the opposing slope and are much easier to access; if the trail is still in the same place from the modern suspension bridge to the former station it passes near them. There's also a laid-up stone culvert under old railbed and an old cemetery with a gorgeous wrought iron fence just off the old line. When I was at KJC we were doing some research work ahead of the 125th anniversary of the school and found an old student newspaper article from the days when it was an academy (private high school) that referenced the station, noting that boys considered it a worth-while pursuit to loiter at the station in the hopes of catching the flash of an ankle from under a skirt.

I worked security as supervisor at a refinery, that pad doesn't look like a scale. it would be metal around edges of cement and an open space and metal framed. it could have been a check station for vehicles entering for work.

I agree totally with your list. Number 1 is so sad... I remember watching the original video and thinking how sad and depressing the house felt just by its contents. My college minor was in psychology and the house just reads a man taking care of either a wife or mother who was very sick. The hoarding of the tvs and radios is something that happens after the loss of a meaningful loved one. So many things in the house remind me of my own childhood, like the 7 up bottles, TVs and that washing machine. We had a washer like that on our back porch that my momma did laundry in. The most baffling roadside find is those concrete structures built on top of the rocks. I would love to know what or how those structures were used in the coal industry. The number 4 on the list was one of my most favorites because after watching it I realized that train was what we called in Florida a flame thrower. The one in the video is much older than the ones I remember as a kid. The ones I remember the flames came out from under the back of the train (could have been the front. Depending on the direction it was going)and were not as long as the one in your video. That concrete building has some historical significance if the 70 yr old gentleman didn't ever see it in operation in his lifetime. Cinderblock started being used here in America after 1880. That building could have very well been one of the first construction of its kind. Great video...✌

And the first one, the mobile home was of course ransacked 🤬 But as I watch more it looks like it could also be a Hoarder unit! Yes on the 2nd one to get the local people to tell you about the past to tell you the scoop on what use to be in the area, called living history. And where it says ' I love Jason ' someone traveled into the future just to leave that for you 😅 And in the 3rd that house looked very long abandoned! That other abandoned house dated calendar of 1981 we had kitchen chairs that looked the same back in the 60&70's era. Amazing when something from your past jars your memory! That room in the house that had the wheelchair and gave you bad vibes would probably be great for a paranormal event. aluminum siding was famous in the 70's I remember my friends parents had theirs done mid 70's but they dented fairly easy. And the last one in Cherokee north Carolina I was there when the Harrah's casino first opened. Fun times.. another great video 👍

By the look on the door it was busted in by police. probably a no knock warrant. That would also be why the insides look the way they do. the people are probably in jail and couldn't get back. The vehicle isn't really that surprising. I would have been more surprised if there was no vehicle. turned over probably by kids. Looks like the police searched the place. they leave messes behind. looks like it wasn't too long ago, no real dust. check out public records. . animals went to shelter.. looks like November of 2016.
