Back in Stockholm, arrived from KL yesterday.... Very interesting. Coming back to this music now again, still so good. A real musician, in so many different genres, always totally honest and of course tecnically brilliant, one of the very best guitar players being around. The duo record with Charlie Haden, "Missouri sky," a real favourite of mine. And yes "Last train home", very cathy melody, almost a hit song back then. (And Chet B forever....)

Wow, just fantastic! I love your descriptions of the albums and I can tell that you know a lot about Pat Metheny. My Pat Metheny collection has grown a lot in 2023. My top two albums of his are “Off Ramp” and “Still Life (Talking)”, but other albums of his slide into the mix quite a bit. This month it’s been “As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls” and “Watercolors”. There’s still a few I want to get, but most of the vinyl I have found. I only played his latest “Dream Box” album once, because the vinyl has too much background noise. I cleaned it before playing it too. Maybe it’s just my copy? But there’s no other instruments, just guitar. The ECM pressings got me spoiled. They are perfection! Thank you for making this video!

The newer Metheny records look really interesting. Will check them out after watching your re-visit. I didn't know he had a new record out this year. You have such an eclectic taste in music.

Very good presentation. A favorite album of mine and my wife is the background sound track that Pat played acoustic guitar for the movie “A Map Of The World” which came out in 1999. The sound track was produced by Pat and Steve Robby. The music is very soothing. We play it often when having dinner. My introduction to The Pat Metheny Group was the album “OFFRAMP”.

I have never listened to a PM past the first ECM lp, "Witchata Falls...sounded like Muzak to me. Don't know why? We lived in the same area, I would see him around town. Not going to say where for his privacy. Didn't he go to North Texas State? I 've never connected w/ his playing at all. Even w/ Ornette and Charlie I'm probably jealous. I'm going give him a real listen. The Joni Mitchell stuff w/ Jaco was real good. Alot of love coming thru in Jaco's playing for Joni.

I used to play the former a lot; for a while it was one of the CDs I used when evaluating stereo equipment for purchase. Your enthusiasm and excitement is fun to see, which is one reason I enjoy your videos, and in fact, yours is also one of the few channels I have the notification bell turned on for. And if you play "Offramp" a lot, two copies makes sense to me.
