My Top 20 - Disney Endings

Hi everyone!
I'm very glad to show you my new vid. It's kind of a different video, my editing is different (first try on PowerPoint) but still very simple as I like, and I tried to make shorter comments otherwise this video would have long 2hours.
Waiting for your opinion now! :D

Oh God, I wanted to watch one of your videos for so long! Now, first of all, let me say that I love the thumbnail and editing of the video, it looks pretty neat. Then, about your choices, I think you managed to include all my favourite endings. I also love classical endings, and Peter Pan's is one of the best. As a person whose childhood is precious, I also get goosebumps when I watch it. Lilo & Stitch is an ultimate favourite for me. I love Elvis' "Burning love" and I think is the most appropiated for the ending, since you can see the deep love of this little family, and because I also feel this warm, fuzzy pain in the chest, that makes me happy cry, whenever I see it. Princess and the Frog, I love it, is just so different to other Princess endings, but still is magical and sweet. I'm not the biggest fan of The Lion King either, but the opening and the ending are masterpieces! I also love Robin Hood, basically for the same reasons than you. Oh, Hercules, always a favourite, the music is so upbeat, but I get so sad! I love the contrast between The Jungle Book opening (so misterious and haunting, love it) and the ending (with a silly and upbeat tune, love it). 101 Dalmatians, I just love how happy seem Roger, Anita and the maid (forgot her name) with their new, big family. Dogs are miracles. That reminds me of the only ending I missed, Meet the Robinsons, not a favourite film of mine, but I cry every time I listen to "Little Wonders" (I'm a baby, I know). I have a strange relationship with Moana. I didn't enjoyed at first the movie, because I had a headache and I went to the theatre with my 5 y-o sister, that wouldn't stop talking, and my 8y-o other sister, that would mock me every time that I started to cry. But I remember wacthing the finale, and thinking, "yes, this was good"! Who doesn't love Tarzan? Or The Hunchback of Notre Dame? They both warm up my heart. I love Aladdin, but Genie kills the thing a bit for me. Same for Mulan, in fact, I love the first part of the ending but Mushu and the ancestors ruin the second part for me. The Little Mermaid, not emotional? I can't help but cry whenever I see it, you can feel Ariel's gratitude and Triton's pain. Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White are masterpieces, love their endings. Beauty and the Beast, a "tale as old as time", if you get me. That's one of the things I hate the most about the live-action, they killed this scene. Pocahontas is (for me) the best animated finale ever. I cry so much. You can see the pain of both of them, but they stay strong. And when Pocahontas runs towards him to see him one last time, and you see the tears in her eyes but she doesn't break down, and she sends all the colours of the wind to John, who seem to be relieved when he feels Pocahontas spirit, plus the music, plus the gorgeous animation... It kills me to know that they don't end up together, it makes the ending sadder. Oh, btw, I thought Tangled or Frozen would be in the video, since those are part of your favourites classics. Sorry for the long comment, I didn't expect it to be that long. I've literally spent half an hour writing it! My best fitting video will have to wait

Samah y Almudena Sfakianakis Thank you very much! Yes, I have less time to make videos, but I’m glad it worth the wait to you, really! Childhood is something so precious in life, you’re right, that’s why I love Peter Pan & Alice in Wonderland’s endings. Oh I so agree with you about Lilo and Stitch! It makes my heart melting whenever I saw them in their happy daily life at the end. And « Burning Love » is of course an amazing tune. Completely agree about 101 Dalmatians too, so happy to see Roger & Anita with their dogs, as I have a dog which I love with all my heart, it sounds so real to me! And seeing the city waking up to the sound of barkling is like a tribute to this miracle that are dogs! And The Jungle Book’s opening is one of my biggest fav, so haunting, bewitching, I could watch it everyday! The contrast is well made, and the ending is both jazzy & touching. Moana in theatre was good, but when I watch it in Italian at home, it was splendid. I agree about Aladdin, I love the Genie, but I do feel that this wasn’t necessary to end with him. He’s not the heroe of the story, and I think the end is a bit too much concentrated on Genie’s freedom, more than Aladdin & Jasmine. But still, the moment where Aladdin and Jasmine sing & fly to the moon is marvellous. And it’s even more bothering in Mulan to me! I love Mushu, but I wish the ending was as beautiful as the opening. And I cry so much when Mulan meets his father again, that I wanted the movie to end with something like this. I just SO agree about Pocahontas. She doesn’t cry, but you see her despair in her eyes. There’s no words, just the gesture, the eyes, the music makes everything so emotional... Tangled & Frozen are wonderful movies and I love them, but for Tangled, I wanted the ending to be a little more touching as the movie has many moving scenes, and Rapunzel’s eyes are enough to enlighten me (this movie is a master to transmit emotions only by eyes. The parents, Rapunzel... their eyes always tell everything). I like Frozen’s ending, I would have put in the top 25 maybe. No problem for the long comment ahah, I will check your best fitting video :)

Jaisa Josh I feel the same about Genie! I love him, but that's not his moment. And if I had to be honest, I so much prefer Aladdin and Jasmine's love story than Genie's freedom (although I'm happy that he's free now, he deserves it!) Same about Mushu, he's fun and I love him, but this was a warm family scene, not Mushu's show. Talking about Aladdin and Mulan, I have a question, how do you feel towards the upcoming live-action films?

Samah y Almudena Sfakianakis Me too! Genie is a great character, but he’s a sidekick anyway. Phil in Hercules also achieves his dream to form a hero, and we don’t talk about this for an hour. Maybe Genie is a bit more memorable character, but I do think it’s a bit too much, even if I’m glad he gets freedom, her friendship with Aladdin is touching. But Aladdin & Jasmine love story is also way more important to me !

Oh and, about the live action movies, I didn’t hear about Mulan, but I am aware for Aladdin. Well, I know a lot of people will disagree. But I don’t see the point in making remakes and remakes. The live action of Beauty & the Beast was poorly operated, and has nothing of the art and passion that has the animated film. When all the scenes are memorable (final, Beast transformation..), no one of the live action appears in my mind. Except Belle, all the characters were dull & flat to me. And I’m not so convincing by Emma Watson’s acting, she’s not a « wonderful » actress to me.. Well. About Aladdin, I think it’s a bad idea to make a remake. But now, money rules the world. So the most important for them is to earn money. I find a bit naive people who think there is an artistic interest in these remakes.. Sorry if you’re very excited to see them, but for sure I won’t go to cinema to watch it. I prefer the originality of new classics like Moana. (i hope i’m not rude)

Jaisa Josh Yes, you're right about Genie, he's amazing but a bit too much at moments. No, I agree with you in terms of live-actions, I don't like them at all. In the best case, they're wasted potential and time because they're the same as the original, but with much less magic. The case of BatB, for example, where I agree with you. I found many of the scenes bland, most of the new songs are bland, too, and, even if I do agree that the CGI was very ghood, it just can't compete with animation. Also, they totally killed the Beast for me, he is one of my fav heros, but I felt no sympathy for Dan Steven's character. A shame, because the cast was very good overall (Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor and Emma Thompson are great actors). And about Emma Watson, hey, I agree. I see why was she casted, she and Belle are this book-smart, feminists icons and is very easy to relate them. But with all due respect, I don't think Emma's a great actress. The thing is, she always gest to play herself, she always get to play characters that are so similar to her that she doesn't even have to act. But she's not Belle for me. And I'm stressed, stressed about Aladdin and Mulan. I'm afraid about the amount of CGI Aladdin's gonna require, I'm stressed about A Whole New World, which is one of my favourite Disney scenes.I'm stressed about the role of Will Smith as the Genie. And about Mulan, I've already lost all hope. They're going to change all the plot (the director has defined the movie as a "girly martial arts extravaganza"). Mulan is going to be a skillfull warrior since the beginning, and she's gonna surpass her army mates since the very beginning (where's my clumsy, socially awkward, persistent, hard-working Mulan). There aren' gonna be any songs. There are not going to fight against the Huns (bye bye, Shan Yu). Mulan will fall in love with a new love interest (Chen Honghui, a fellow warrior). And, worst of all, it seems that Mushu won't be featured either.

So glad to see some ending like bambi or Lilo and stitch or Pinocchio (even if I don't think it would be that high for me, I love this song ;) ) I am not a big fan of Robin Hood and 101dalmatiens but the ending scene are pretty good ;) I really love your top 10 I think Hercule is my second favorite (with my fav song from the movie) and Pocahontas my first ;) Great video

What a lovely video! I had goosepimpels for the whole time because disney endings are just so magical 😍 I really can't rank my favourites because they are all so great but i think my ten favourites would be: Robin Hood - Disney couldn't have choosen a better ending for this movie, The jungle book - in Germany bare necessities is just THE disney song and to hear that again in the end is just so beautiful and also the nature in this scene is so beautifully drawn, Hercules-this ending makes me always so happy, Moana- I mean Lin Manuel Miranda is singing 'We know the way' so do i have to say anything else?😂 , Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas and Beauty and the beast- In this scenes the music is just so so perfect,Alan Manken is such a genius

Excellent video and you really improved your editing and your comments that's great :D I think endings are harder to comment than openings, that's why I don't know if I will make a ranking about that. Because often there are quite similar (a wedding, choirs, everybody is happy...). But we share the same number 1, Pocahontas is also my favorite ending, so powerful, subtle and moving. Better to finish like that than a wedding. And I always have goosebumps when she runs with this music (Alan is the best !!!) :) Peter Pan and The Princess and the Frog aren't Disney movies I really appreciate like others but their endings would be definitively in my top 5. For Peter Pan, it's so touching IMO when they see the boat in the clouds and that the father remember his childhood. And Down in New Orleans is clearly my favorite ending song, so catchy ! Then I think my favorite endings would be Hercules (love this song too), The Jungle Book (so jazzy), The Lion King (love the score so much), Bambi (like TLK and I love the representation of the forest too), Tarzan (so romantic also when Jane hesitate between stay with Tarzan and comeback to London), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (feel so happy for Quasimodo and Esmeralda too), Pinocchio (you know how much I love this song) ;) I think I would include The Aristocats maybe too, I love so much the reprise with all the animals. And Dumbo also, it's like for Quasimodo, and I have always goosebumps when he flies at the circus. And when he finds again his mother it's so moving too IMO :) Totally agree with your comment about 101 dalmatians :) For Aladdin, I agree it could be longer (especially because Jasmine doesn't sing a lot in this movie :/), but the Genie at the end doesn't bother me :p As much as I love BatB, the ending isn't my favorite^^ For TLM, what moves me the most is more the "I love you Daddy" than the fact that she realizes her dream of being a human. And I find it quite sad the fact that she leaves her world. And of course the choir of POYW is awesome :) I think my other disagreement would be Sleeping Beauty, it never really touches me this ending because what I love the most in this movie is Maleficent :p

Oh thank you very much! I'm really glad you love my editing! I also think it's harder to rank endings. I may will do a ranking of openings, but later. I want to do it, but at the same time I feel like it will bother more than attract. But I hope this one wasn't too bothering! Of course they're most happy endings, well all of them except Pocahontas actually, but that's what I love ^^ And I tried to describe them as precise & personal as possible! So glad you agree about Pocahontas :D Alan Menken is a genius. Her best work will always be The Hunchback to me, but actually all of his work is fantastic, timeless & moving. Same for Peter Pan! I love the song You can fly so much, it's so dreamy and... I don't know how to describe this feeling, it's magical. It gives you hope, and charms everything around you! And the father remembering his childhood is very touching you're right, because it means that it didn't lose his child's heart after all. And never losing the child's heart is so important to live (to truly live) ! Didn't knew you love Princess & The Frog's ending that much, but it's a wonderful ending! Both modern & timeless! I also love The Aristocats & Dumbo's ending, and especially Dumbo's ending, when he finds his mother, it's so adorable!!! Soooo cool you agree about 101 Dalmatians! For BatB, really? Why? I've rarely seen someone who's not fan of this ending. Do you have a precise reason or does it just not move you? I think that for TLM, I love everything xD The "I love Daddy" + the fact she's now human. I so relate to Ariel and to the passion which is always burning in her eyes, so it melts my heart seeing she finally gets what she wanted! Leaving her beautiful world is quite sad, but I love thinking about what she's about ton discover in ours! Well about Sleeping Beauty, I feel moved because I just love how love is represented in old movies as Snow White, Cinderella and so Sleeping Beauty, it's kinda a love at a first sight, it's so far from reality, that's so "romanesque" (don't know how to express it in English), I love the way they represent love as something simple, feathery... That's why I love watching them dancing lovingly in the clouds, it puts stars in my eyes! And unlike you, I do not care about Maleficient xD I think it's a case of personal taste & sensibility Overall I think even if these endings are very emotional for everyone, loving them is a case of sensibility. You either feel moved by the story or not, and all the themes (dogs, nature, miracle, circle of life, love, bare necessities, dream, childhood...) & stories of those scenes move me, especially the top 5 (Pinocchio!!! You see what I mean!), that's why I put them :D hope I expressed myself clearly. Disney movies had & still have a real impact on my mind, they're very meaningful to me, and all these endings are mastered & conclude beautiful and powerful stories!

About BatB I don't dislike it at all, it's just that for me the endings of Princesses movies aren't the most interesting to me, except for Pocahontas and The Princess and the Frog (yes I love this reprise so much, that's why this ending is more special than others to me). But I love so much the "death" of the Beast that always makes me cry and the transformation that gives me goosebumps (maybe my favorite scene of all Disney), but maybe if they haven't took the dance from Sleeping Beauty and create something else, I would love it more but it doesn't change my love for this movie :) In Sleeping Beauty, since Aurora doesn't appear a lot and the fairies with their "disputes" are a bit boring to me, Maleficent has always been the big star of this movie^^

Always happy to see your videos, I know that I love them before I watch them! ❤ I have to admite that you are the first person I meet who doesn't refere to Lion King as an all time favorite classic movie. Personally, I adore it, Lion King remains my favorite Disney movie for more than 20 years, so its ending is my number 1! :) It was obvious that Pocahontas whould be in your top, certainly the emotions hit the mark in the end, a very majestic ending. Beauty and the Beast's choir is impressive at the end, very classy. I have never liked Snow White so I have no opinion about it. I agree with Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin! I find the ending of The Hunchback of Notre Dame very liberty, if that make any sence, I mean everyone is free to be what he wants to be, especially Quasimodo who lived in shadows. If only the Hugo's story had the same happy end. Moana has one of the most special endings, so powerful. I am happy that you have included Bambi and The Princess and the Frog. Nature is a miracle, indeed, and Bambi as a new Prince it's the end I wanted. The end of the Princess and the Frog compines both the classic end of a Disney princess (dance, kiss, etc) but it has something unique at the same time, it's authentic, it's jazz, it's New Orlean!

Anastasia Pat Ohh thank you very much, it means a lot!❤️ Well I do think The Lion King is a timeless classic. But it’s not mine ^^ It’s not my personal favorite but it’s a case of personal taste, because objectively it’s a great movie! And the ending is so powerful & moving. Completely agree with you about Princess & The Frog, it combines both perfectly, really a good scene! About Bambi, I’m really glad you agree with me, seeing Bambi as a New Prince is so significant & touching. I also agree about what you’ve said about The HunchBack of Notre Dame :) Oww what a shame you don’t like Snow White! It’s the first Disney classic I’ve seen, and I will always love it, it’s a timeless & precious movie for me. Actually Snow White, Aladdin, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Rescuers & Lilo and Stitch are the Disney I’ve watched the most as a child, so I will always feel nostalgic towards them!
