  • @djsmoove98

    @djsmoove98

    24 күн бұрын

    No, the Blackhawks are no where near contending so adding a 27 year old mcdavid would just be wasting his prime for 4-5 years before the hawks young core is ready. By the team the team would be good enough to contend davo would probably be past his prime entering his mid 30s whereas bedard would be just entering his prime.

  • @LandonMotz

    @LandonMotz

    24 күн бұрын

    As the Hawks, definitely not, Bedard is already solidified being our franchise player and his prime will be along the same as Korch, Lev, Kurashev, ect. As the Oilers, defienly yes, saves SO much cap space for the next two years during his ELC, and he would play very well with Draisital (who would be Edmonton's #1 player)

  • @mcj44

    @mcj44

    @@djsmoove98 That’s also what I was thinking. I’m guessing he was looking in the perspective of a team like New Jersey/Dallas that are beginning their high-end contention and will be contenders for the next decade. But if it’s a team like San jose, Chicago, Anaheim I don’t think it’s crazy for bedard to be 1

    @philland97 why? A down year for him was 70 points. He’s a 22 year old center on a bad team, he had a 90 point season at 21 years old and after the season he came out and said he had lingering upper body injuries all year. Like Mike said he was incredibly unlucky too, he missed so many almost guaranteed chances, but he’s a star and will certainly bounce back

    I'm very biased but I'm taking Tkachuk over most of these guys. He's only 26 with a long contract below market rate, and only had a down year because he was recovering from a broken sternum. Plus he's kinda a unicorn player- there's no one else on earth that can score a hundred points a season and lay the body quite like him. Not to mention he's a natural leader, immensely clutch, and a proven playoff performer.

    MacKinnon, (though a little biased cause I’m an Avs fan), I believe might be better than Mcdavid in terms of building a team around because he has experience, and you see that at the start of his career, he made the playoffs with much less help than Mcdavid, who has Draisitle and RNH, and Nail Yakopov, though obviously he didn’t do much.
