Awesome video! You got some serious gold mines there. I do find the "Hollywood Family Entertainment" logo on "Blood Frenzy" to be beyond hilarious. Because nothing says good clean wholesome family fun than a gory as hell slasher movie. 🤣

You should definitely do a part 2 for this video! Off hand I think 2 of my most expensive/rare tapes would be Revenge of the Radioactive Reporter and Gore-met Zombie Chef from Hell but I've got more I know.

That truth or dare movie I remember renting it back in the day,, been looking for it recently. The only part I remember was him shooting a bunch of people at I bus stop or something and it was so cheesy looking but in a good way.

@cinestalker I actually had a ton of VHS tapes that I threw out a few years ago when we had my son. Had to make room but damn it was a lot of tapes. All the original Die hards and terminators and Indiana Jones plus way more.

Very cool Danny you're going old school with those horror movies on VHS I had no idea they were worth hundreds to thousands of Dollars and I've never even heard of them before

I still regret not buying sleepaway camp 2 and sleepaway camp 3 from atomic video when they had their going out of business sale about 15 years ago. They have the coolest and best VHS tape movie video box covers.

Yesterday, I got Bloody Birthday and Dolls for $2 which goes for a pretty hefty price at this video store in Philly which is the last one in the city. The guy who works there sells his tapes dirt cheap and he has tons of rare horror stuff

Yeah that particular gatefold edition is pricy and the price range can get crazy at times from what I noticed. Great deal you got for a Buck on it 🤘🏻

There was an auction for a Truth or Dare about 5-6 months ago on ebay. Please keep in mind it was new and unwrapped; it went for $580.00 USD. To find a Truth of Dare vhs is rare, to find one in good condition is super rare. Danny you've been super lucky find these tapes in the wild and for the prices you paid. "Truth or Dare" will keep its value, if not increase.

Man the sad thing is that I used to have most of those VHS! I still have Street Trash and and Video Violence(big box!). But I sold hundreds when everything was being released on DVD I downsized my collection. But the ones I repent the most are about 100 Venezuelan VHS I am so sorry I sold them , I still have like 250 left. I still have a few movies released only in P.R. in Spanish like Threads, Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue, Nailgun Massacre, etc. Which are mighty rare. But the Venezuelan ones win because they are imported. I recently had contact with a collector from Venezuela and he told me that in his country nobody is collecting old stuff and they are hard to find!!!😭 To think at one time I had over 1,000 VHS! I still collect VHS but it pales in comparison of what it used to be. I've seen your video 3 times! Definitely make a part 2 everybody will be waiting for it! Nice you scored it for a buck too! I know right?! Way too hard to find any good tapes now compared to a handful of years ago and of course back in the 90s. Glad we were able to collect them early on cause now they pricy as hell for any good ones

I kept quite a few of my VHS tapes and donated a whole lot too after getting a lot of the titles on DVD! Kept all of my Friday The 13TH -Jason X tapes and a few other of my favorite titles!

I got mad about the fact that it was selling for like 80 dollars a few years ago. Now I'm mad i never bought it when it wasn't so expensive. They were the coolest looking DVDs because they had all the blood on them and the kit images. And I might have not bought them 15 years ago because I thought they would come to Blu Ray but I didn't know if they ever did? Also it's important because you can watch the unreleased part 4 movie.

Hey Danny, just subscribed. Got a question for ya...Is the Kensington Video you referenced in San Diego? I noticed the vid was dated to one year ago, but Google said Kensington Video in San Diego permanently closed in 2017. This was the 2nd time, they closed, and it appears to be for good. So sad!! I hope they got bought out by someone who is willing to pick up where they left off and keep things going.

I have Return of the Living Dead same one bought brand new and my cover the zombies are a green not faded like most copies i see. I have street trash also. Most rare tape I own is Lunchmeat in big box

Dude I used to have both video dead and street trash on vhs. Years ago I got a dvd burner and made copies of them and other ficks to dvd then sold the tapes at a yard sale for like a quarter....doh

Those are a lot of great titles. I myself am waiting for a vhs that I paid over $500 for to come in the mail - an original British Uncut pre cert "Video Nasty" of Joe D'Amato's ABSURD aka Anthropophagous II. I enjoy collecting rare horror tapes and I do have a handful. I might do a video for the tube of exactly what I have soon.

That was fun. So true, one day a tape might sell for 360, but shortly after might be 270 for the same quality item. Luck plays a part and persistence doesn’t hurt. Overall, the hobby is a lot of fun. Thanks.

It perfectly illustrates this lifestyle and mental state that we live in. Us the fans of '80s horror films who collect horror VHS tapes and have been doing this since we were kids. @@cinestalker yes the '80s has more classic masterpiece horror films than any other decade which means and cements this decade as the best horror film decade. But some of these you tube people like obsessed with horror which is a young 20s girl can't get into '80s horror because she didn't grow up with these horror films which is wrong. The same thing happened with freaking back to the future when it comes to my niece and nephew whom for some insane reason don't really like this film??? I mean this is the film that everyone of all ages in the '80s loved. Even my grandparents had this film on VHS back in the day. Maybe this is from them having enough years watching movies like it in the '70s and '80s to get used to '80s movies?

I have Beasties on vhs if anyone is interested. Only 200 copies were made.

That Motel Hell isn’t worth anything, it’s factory sealed but that’s a re-issue. The big box release of Blood Frenzy is the crown jewel! 🎉

You do realize eBay trolls exist? Disney black diamond ultra rare vhs, regularly sell for hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars. And you can find those in any goodwill store.
