Captain Choudhury Sir, I salute to you & your courage, and to your mother, father and the family. I was 23 during that war and vividly remember the stories of our war heros who showed exemplary discipline, bravery and courage under the leadership of Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw.

Salaam from an ordinary Pakistani Sir! You inspire me. Lots of Love! My dad was an army officer and he had fought in 1971 war. He's dead now but he used to tell me about the war. It hurts me to hear your tale.

it is shockig that none of our war heroics are written or taught in textbooks it must be included everyone of this country must kno the sacrifices

Handing over captured Pak territory and not negotiating PoK without conditions was a blunder in Shimla. Gilgit Baltistan should have been exchanged for 90000 POWs; the 3000 out of them who were war criminals in Bangladesh should have been tried in a Nuremberg style court and executed. We should have known how to convert a military victory into a total one like the USSR did in Potsdam in 1945.

Our weakest point is our generosity. I totally agree with you. Political will power and diplomacy could have been utilized in a much better way so as to correct the mistake committed by Nehru in UN admitting about referrandum in Kashmir

Many new protocol came into existence related to ethics of wars and pows after 1945....so Nuremberg style trial wasnt exactly possible

@@amitdwivedi9951 unfortunately no, Kashmir was always Indian,there is not an iota of doubt in it,and regarding that 370 Scrap, great it scrapped,but in manner it scrapped was unconstitutional and it scrapping still not stopped even 2% of militancy or terrorist activities there and the whole j&k citizens are in lock down from past 1 year with 2g internet,with such kind of dacronian step,they have not stopped terrorism and also common citizen there are suffering even.

Hi Mohammad Modasir00500.... Ind army has won against Pak every time..... If you don't believe it...there is country named BANGLADESH....which was formed after defeating Pak.... If feasible, please request your Madarsa admin to include HISTORY as an additional subject in your curriculum.....apart from your default subjects of loading AK-47 and configuring bombs.....

I am impressed, quite impressed. God bless you. They were committing atrocities on their own people, and the ones who weren't of them became their saviors. Indeed in 1971 victorious indian Army played good Samaritan for all the sides. Personally in Delhi I have been saved by Hindus out of compulsion of conscience what ever you might say. from the clutches of co-religioist when I was undergoing atrocities and hate crimes out. My Hindu landlord out of compassion had rented his room at huge concession and never increased rent for 15 years. I immediately struck a chord with you, sir.

This man is true to his salt and speaks the truth. men in any country recognize the true officers and gentlemen.every man who fights for his country without any prejudice for the enemy should be hailed. soldiers of warring nations should respect each other because they are only performing their duties , and no more . soldiers are beyond the bounds of cast, creed and religion.They fade away when they die and go to valhala.. Dont abuse them but remember your forefathers who would have done the same. Bravo to all the soldiers of the world.

My brother Late Mj Subrata Banerjee,was also part of that mission .He was in Kumaun Regiment despite their victory they had to come back That was a big mistake done by political leadership.He was a real Hero for me like this gentleman.Jai hind jai bharat .They are real Dapur of Bharat mata.
