Because of this video, I bought the Prox Micro SALT 70MLTC, so thanks for the tips! I'm keen on also getting their Prox Viceo Tele shorty which seems to be an ultra compact rod perfect for my car but it's out of stock everywhere :(

Hey man I was just wondering how the action on that UL Daiwa BBB rod was….Ive been looking at the Major Craft Trapara UL telescopic rod….wasnt sure if the telescopic aspect kills the sensitivity!! Thanks

Hey, I've got the Daiwa bbb back when the tele UL rods were quite uncommon. Still, I can tell you for sure that it is really an excellent fast action rod. Obviously, it's not going to beat the super fast multi-piece rods. Then again, you will have to decide what are your priorities: mobility or sensitivity, or a bit of both. Love Major Craft too, only wish they would produce more telescopic rods. Thanks and happy fishing!

Hi, I got myself the following rods: Alpha Tackle TRGR 866ML 5-21gr and Alpha Tackle TRGR 866MH 5-45gr. I’ve also equipped them as you did show us on the video. With the Okima Epixor XT 20 12lb KastKing superpower braided line and Okima Epixor XT 30 15lb KastKing superpower braided line. I would like to ask what is the brand of the 16lb braided line as KastKing does only 15lb and also what is the lb and length on the lead line you are using for the set ups on the video. Thank you!

Hi, yes I use a lot of KastKing braid as well. The 16lb line is a Varivas x4 16lb #0.8 if I remember correctly. You can go with a 15lb Kastking if you like, that 1lb difference won’t make a big deal if you fish for bass👍 As for the fluorocarbon, I try to use lighter lines than my main line for better casting: e.g for the 16lb, I use 12lb and for the 12lb I use 6lb or 8lb. Hope it helps👍

Hi there, i bought the PROX Salt 80 MLTS of Amazon JP but unfortunately the tip snapped casing, i was only using a 3g Mepps spinner so there must have been a defect unfortunately

Hi, it might have been the case. Unfortunately it’s always a gamble ordering rods from abroad, try to inspect for any potential damage immediately after unboxing. Had a fair share of issues myself with rods, but I send them back or ask for refund. Better luck next time🤞 P.S: I’ve been using mine for over 2 years and no issue so far (been casting lures up to 20gr).🤷🏻

Hi, I'm planning to upgrade some travel fishing gear for next season and need help to choose between Alpha Tackle and Prox Micro Salt SE Rod range ^^. Please suggest what the best value for money will be.

Hi Marco, alpha tackle rods are faster action rods than Prox rods, so they are more sensitive, on the other hand Prox rods are more compact and easy to pack. They are both great rods, but if I was to pick one to carry around it would be the Prox. Hope I could help, tight lines!

@@Marco_Polo790 You’re welcome. Also, if you are planning to do light jigging and not just lure fishing, the Prox is slightly better at that too. I use Alpha tackle when I need to cast longer and need that extra bit of finesse for the lures.

Hi, thanks for commenting. I bought mine on ebay some time ago. Unfortunately the prices have gone up quite a bit since then. Eventually try to buy them through Asian sites, only the import tax can be really steep. Good luck! 🤞

Probably yes, but I wouldn’t trust the quality on the long run.
