Thanks for confirming what we suspected was true all along- we're pretty sure we're all artists too! Making art is a very human activity that makes us smarter and healthier. It's a great way to make our corner of the Universe more beautiful and more interesting!

Eyes at the beginning of a sketchbook- YES!!! Me, too!!!

My go to comfort sketch is also an eye or lavender stalks! I think I might need a mini sketch book. I feel like it was would be so stress relieving!

Thank you for that. 3 years ago I held love of my life’s hand as he took his last breath Felt as if I died too that day. When I finally “got out of bed” 6 months later I turned to KZread and found several awesome artists (like you❤️) to help wake me up. Don’t get me wrong, 3 yrs later and I’m still far from 100% back. But again, you and many other artists (like your friends Chloe Rose, Moriah Elizabeth, Jazza and more 😉) keep me busy 🥲😅❤️ LOVE your work and have one of my favorite prints from you. *sorry for babbling 🤷🏻‍♀️🤓 lol

I draw/doodle in my sketchbook to relax too! I even have tester pages. It's my place to explore and have fun without worrying about what people will see.

when I start a new watercolour sketchbook or test watercolour paper or watercolours, I always paint a galaxy. That's my favourite thing to paint in watercolour :)

hmmm... my "go to" things to draw.... are faces, animals, and "Friendly alien critters" (critters I make up, most often inspired by things I see in floor tiles, clouds, or other things) I LOVE your page with the bird ..... great little sketchbook. 😊👍

I draw sunflowers alot as a test in my sketchbooks. and leaves, Lots of them. Lovely results!

Back in March 2021 I started my first sketchbook after watching one of your sketchbook ideas videos. I'd always been told I was terrible at art and hasn't done anything other than a few create this book pages with my niece since the early 00s. Now I have 16 full sketchbooks of various types and 5 currently on the go and I feel confident enough in my abilities to gift my friends art and get genuinely pleased responses in return. So thank you for that push. Oh and mushrooms of all sorts are what I come back to drawing again and again!

So many little gems in that sketchbook. My favorites are the wave 7:07 and the 2 page spread with the bird 8:13 ♥ Seeing this reminded me that I can get a lot more mileage out of my sketchbooks by painting on the back side of pages. So... I need to get busy😝

I love that you always offer inspiration ideas but make sure to say that there’s no pressure to fill a sketchbook. I’ve seen in the last few years people need to fill sketch books. I’ve had sketchbooks over many years and actually seem to get a new one when I’m in another stage of my life. I never felt pressured to fill it bc half of it is purposeful and the other half might be a mixture of ideas, test sketches for a more serious piece, or just getting out emotions 🤷🏻‍♀️ so again I really like that you encourage the less pressured method unless of course there’s a sudden flow of inspiration :) your videos are always so relaxing and fun :)

Oo, you're going to love Everdell! We have a lot of similar tastes in games (D&D, 7 Wonders, Wingspan). The art in Everdell is just so lovely, and the game pieces are so cute!

Wingspan is also one of my favorite games!!! It's solid - but no one I know likes to play it, so I play on my switch. Its fun when they give all the explanations and bird songs!! 😊

I like sketching in ball point pen too. I get a whole rainbow of colors and go to town. Last Inktober, I drew all thumbnail sketches with the ball point pen rainbow and was so happy with the results that I am on the third painting, using the sketches as thumbnails for the pieces.

It looks great! I run out of ideas. I love doodling.

Loooove sketchbook tours! It’s inspirational and often many starter points for spin off art that leads to much original art for me❤️

Mira- sale alert! My local hobby lobby had all of their Oil , Watercolor and Acrylic paints on CLEARANCE- I got Windsor professional watercolors for $1.79 each! Some are more, but everything is less then $5. Heavy body acrylics! I don’t know it’s because my local one is revamping that section and it looks like they’re moving those displays out so they’re all on deep clearance. But it’s worth to check out any other Hobby lobby’s in case the whole company is doing the same thing.

That was so fun! I had forgotten about a few of those, so it was nice to go back and see them again. I know I've said this many times before, but I just absolutely love your art style. It is so unique. Even though you style hop, you still have a recognizable style that is consistent through them all. I think I could pick your artwork out of a group of artwork from different artists.

I loved the tour! My go to thing is probably checkerboards in different colors or rainbow themed things like paint drips etc. you are such an inspiration to me. The first thing I ever did with art was because I watched several of your videos. Now… a few years later I have a dresser full of acrylic, watercolor, gouache, acrylic gouache and colored pencils and more. I love it. I find art as being therapeutic for me. ❤❤. So thank you for that. ❤

@@MiraByler Me personally, I love the Daisy page and the Moth pages, just as they are. Both perfectly represent beauty, fun, innocence, hope, happiness and all the descriptive words that spark joy.

I just bought my first sketchbook and havent used it yet. So I'd say almost every art diary I have, i've drawn a tree in pen or pencil in a sketch type style haha!

Have you heard of viticulture or parks? Those are great games! Also if you haven't yet, check out the Tabletop Board game cafe in Columbus. My husband and I are huge fans bc we get to try new games we haven't even heard of :)

Wow! That blubblefly is having a nightmare of watching at a mirror, and its seeíng it self as a monster. I don´t know you, but I admit, I see those nigtmares often. I´m not scared of mirrors or myself in a real world.😂 Or is that blubblefly supposed to be me 🤣deaming my dreams. Maybe I see that dark one next night and scream. I bought myself a fancy sketchbook few months back and am really scared messing it up with a bad drawing. I have another one with very thin paper and draw in it all the time. It´s really stuped thing, but it´s just the way most people happen to do.

What do you do with your finished sketchbooks? I think there's a library where artists donate their sketchbooks, I've always wanted to do that.
