I checked MST based on your review and had a very mixed experience. Ordered one suit, the pants were perfect but jacket was super big and needed alterations. I chatted with Alex and agreed to buy a second suit that would be shipped along with the remake. When those two arrived, the 2nd suit was absolute perfect. The remake jacket from the first order was still super big, like almost nothing was changed. Alex said that the perfect fitting jacket and the remake were made to same specs. That was obviously incorrect but he basically said I am SOL and the only solution he offered was to take it to a local tailor. Got ghosted and communication stopped after that. So I ended up with one good suit and one pair of pants for the price of two suits. I was willing to order a couple more suits but I'm afraid they may randomly fit or not fit. Super fun!

Wow. This is the first bad experience I’ve heard of from them. Have you sent him pics? I would keep emailing their customer service.

Just received my suit. Overall the fit is nice, but it’s going to need a couple of slight alterations. The fabric wasn’t quite what I expected. I should have requested a sample before placing the order. We’ll see how well it wears over time. The Essential Black Suit is definitely a lower quality than the one in this video. Time will tell if I place another order.

We are the same built and I really like how that suit fits you. I usually go for OliverWicks but they just cant nail the collar roll problem even with numerous pictures showing how my shoulder is sloped. So I'm going to try Mysuittailor. Thanks

Great video! Im glad to hear about new mtm company. It seems that they have great quality for low cost. But when i visited their website, i was a bit disappointed when i saw that they dont have any three piece suits or waistcoats for sale. But anyway trhy sem like nice company, and based on your rewiew im looking forward to buying some suit from them. Btw: The suit fits you like a glove! And im surprised that you have only 3,5k subs. Sorry for my english. 😅

Your English is great. Better than a lot of people I know who have lived here their whole lives. Never apologize for not being perfect at a second, third, or fourth language. Most Americans only know one. I’ll be releasing another video tomorrow about a MtM suit company. Sartoro. A little more expensive but still affordable and very good quality. Also, a 3 piece. I love it.

Thanks for this video; I've ordered MTM from other companies (with very good results, BTW); and I am going to give My Suit Tailor a shot: they seem to give a lot of value. I am also interested in Sartoto as they, too, seem to offer very good value (thanks for that video, as well!!!).

I took it to my local tailor/seamstress (with whom I have a very good relationship) to see if she recommended any alterations, and she said no...that the suit fit almost perfectly. Did some research and the canvas on these suits is fused or glued which is cheaper way to do it. It’s why the Oliver Wick suit feels so much better

Oh, absolutely! But at this price range, it’s about the best option I’ve seen so far. At its price range. And it’s a nice suit. I’ve been wearing it fairly regularly. Check out my best suit under $400 video. I go into detail about the under $400 suits I’ve tried.

I was wondering how you compare this to your Oliver wicks?

I'm still unclear about the difference between fabric quality of their wool blend and the VPC Super 110s. Can you help me out here?

But they don't do vests, apparently. What I really want are a couple of good vests.

I would say the quality of the construction is similar. Both feel very well made. The fit is good on both. Oliver wicks has more of a European cut. And the fabric is much higher quality. I feel like MST could charge more if they wanted to and I’d still buy their suit bits a great suit. But the feel of that Oliver wicks suit is better. If you can afford Sartoro or Oliver wicks, go for it. If your budget is a little tighter, MST does a great job. Eventually I’ll have a few more higher priced suit companies I can give my opinions on but those are what I can give right now.

Sartoro only has one suit witjout polyester which I’ve been led to believe polyester is cheaper. MST has two grey suits for 525 that I might do I just don’t know if they are different enough not to look the same .

I talked to Alex and half canvassed suits are not fused but sewn. So what would be the disadvantage in half canvas?

Alex is a great guy. Super smart. Full canvas means the suit has a full canvas (sewn) into it. It conforms over time to fit you better. It breathes better. And it looks great as opposed to fused. Half canvas is a little lighter. Still sewn in. A little cooler during the summer. Still gives that nice slick look in the torso and shoulders. Fused… I’m not a fan. It’s glued in. Doesn’t breathe as much. Doesn’t fit better over time. Gets super warm. To answer your question, half canvas vs full canvas. Both look great in the torso. Both fit better over time. One is a little heavier and costs a little more. One is a little lighter and cooler and costs a little less. Both are great over fused.

If you can afford it, I’d say go with Sartoro or Oliver Wicks. Sartoro has more of an American suit look where Oliver Wicks has more of a European look.

@@TheDadBod have you tried the Joseph Abboud or Suit Supply? They have stores near here and I’d feel better if they measured me. I’m 6’7 280lbs with only a 32” inseam. The sartoro measurement system does not inspire confidence the way it works. There is also an indochino but I hear bad things about them.

You’ll always be best using your own measurements. Sartoro and OW allow that. I have not yet tried Joseph Abbound or Suit Supply. I do have a vid for Indochino which matches what you have heard. Check out my Oliver wicks and Sartoro videos.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MySuitTailor Based on this review and the other budget suit video on this page, I bought my first suit with this company. I am a graduate student with limited money and needed a suit for my summer internship. It took more than two months for my suit to arrive. I was originally sent the wrong product. I have never put on a pair of pants this uncomfortable. The jacket had a strange fit, bubbling out under the arms in the back. They emailed me to confirm some details after my purchase. They had a few details incorrect, so I told them the correct details. When receiving the suit, I could see they did not make the corrections. An example is my I initials inside the jacket. They also emailed me about some measurements they thought were wrong. So I remeasured and compared the measurements with other clothes I have. They did not listen and still made the suit with the measurements they believed were correct. For example, I have short arms for my height, so I wanted the sleeves a little shorter than the recommendation for my height. After receiving my suit, I emailed about the problems and sent them various pictures. They told me they could reimburse me for alternations up to $50. I went to get alterations. The cost of fixing all the problems was well over $50 dollars. After receiving a single alteration, I have emailed them two or three times now with no response over the last month. Now I am stuck with a suit I absolutely dread putting on. By the way I probably have one of the most basic body types, so that was not the issue.

Yeah, I got a bunch of complaints and the analytics showed people stopped watching at the jokes so I stopped doing them. But I’m working on adding them back in. I like them, makes making the videos fun.

My best suit 3 piece suit was made by my suit. They don’t play perfect.
