My Southern Mom Shares her Banana Pudding Recipe
Hope y'all enjoy this fabulous recipe! This is a recipe I grew up eating and man is it FABULOUS! My mom, Lisa, shares how she makes her Banana Pudding!
HOW TO:
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Cold Milk
- 5oz Instant Vanilla Pudding
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
- 1 Container Cool Whip
- 10-15 Sliced Bananas
- 1 Box Nilla Wafers
1) Add in milk and pudding mix - stir together well
2) Add in Vanilla and a can of condensed milk - stir
3) Fold in container of cool whip - then set aside
4) Slice bananas
5) Layer nilla wafers, bananas, and pudding into a container and place into the refrigerator for a few hours before serving

Love me some banana pudding!! And yes real southern girls use instant. I have not used Eagle brand before but for Easter here it comes! Momma way does put some fresh squeeze lemon juice over the Nilla wafers and sometime add cinnamon in the pudding!!! Go Lisa!
Now we know where you get your good looks from. Tupperware and Mary Kay seemed to be what my aunts were always involved in.

This is my exact recipe. I let it sit in fridge overnight to soften those cookies. I recently added some coconut to it too. Coconut isn't for everyone but we love it. I always save butter and cool whip bowls. I think most southerners do

Please don't do that last time I made banana pudding my banana were going bad it gave me the poops never had that problem before using fresh bananas
