We’ve been thinking about a fiberglass cap for our 23 TRD Off Road, long bed, but we use our truck for light duty work around our property and need the bed, so this Soft Topper would work well for our needs. One of our neighbors has one on his Tundra and Loves it.

The rear curtain/paracord is great idea, I'm stealing it.

I'm saving up to get a Softopper for my truck so I can stop fiddling with the tarp setup I use now. One thing I'd been thinking of was a pull handle to close the gate from inside - I like your solution better than what I was planning on over-engineering! Thanks for sharing Sir!

Very helpful

I have a Tacoma (dbl cab, long bed) and got our Softopper about 6 months ago as well. I’m in Florida and it’s just starting to get cool enough at night to sleep, but I’m worried about big spiders getting in! 😂 I have a cheap net coming and hope to get out camping next weekend! KZread served me up this video and happy to see more Softoppers out there. Happy camping!

Nice setup. You could also get a big piece of mosquito netting and drape it over the whole thing when the sides are up and hold it down on the sides of your bed with magnets.

I really like that setup and been considering the soft top for a little bit but prefer a hard top for my second gen tacoma if I can find a good deal on a used one. Anyway great video brother thanks for sharing 👍

I almost bought the tacoma sr access with the sx package. Bought a used 2020 4runner instead. I'm happy with 4runner, but had I found an SX on the lot before I found the 4runner, I would have gone for that. But I'm glad I got my 4runner instead

@@DylanDelong Funny enough while the 4runner has a much nicer interior and is supposed to be a bit tougher, my dad has a 2018 tacoma sr. Before I got my 4runner I would borrow it to take my bikes out or the canoes out, and I had to use it when the 4runner was in the shop from hitting a deer, and the tacoma is way easier to drive. Those 4runners wobble and move like any old vehicle while going on the highway. The tacoma doesn't. Both vehicles have their downfalls

Awesome setup man - can insects still get in the softopper with everything closed? Is there enough airflow to avoid suffocating with the window down?

Thanks!! Insects can get in but not had a big problem with it. There is some airflow I like to open the back window for better circulation

Do you have a video cutting down the side supports for the cot? Is it as easy as cutting 2” off on of the ends or were other modifications needed?

Just found your channel and watched a few of your videos. I really like your set up! Now that you've had the Softopper for awhile do you still like it? What about rain and dust/dirt. Do you get any water/dust/dirt inside or does it stay clean and dry while driving? Thanks!

I still love the softopper for sure! It keeps the water out I will say some dust gets in but for the most part it stays pretty clean! Glad you like it and thanks for watching my videos!

The sleeping pad I have is Arcadiville memory foam sleeping pad on Amazon and the cot is king camp low profile cot I got from amazon as well. Glad you're enjoying the videos and thanks for watching!!

Yes the lights I picked up from a local autozone and O'Reillys has them as well! The fan can be found at Walmart or they have some on Amazon! Thanks for watching!
