MY SISTERS DRESSER MAKEOVER...4 BROKEN DRAWERS AND 1 BROKEN FOOT.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
What a classic looking dresser to get a face lift. This was a fairly straight forward makeover using BHER chalk paint and BHER wax as a protective finish. Four drawer glides did have to be replaced and a broken foot glued back on. With that, however, this dresser has a lot of usable life left in it. Hope you enjoy the video.

The candy bar killed me!! I got one, a Three Musketeers too, and it was all white and chalky. Out of the junk machine at work. Sadly I wasn't brave enough to take a bite. When you peeled the wrapper, I was like, no, no, don't do it....y y you k k killled Me!!!!! Lolsssssssss 1:35
The irony of restoring a dresser that looks almost brand new, and making it look distressed, is causing me to experience existential angst.

@@Aleph-Noll Would agree with you when it would have been a very old antique dresser. But this is a relative new one from a furniture factory, industrial made, almost fresh from the Swedish giant. And if sis likes a little lighter interior, why not.

The original dresser looked like garbage not only did he fix everything wrong with it but made it look more modern. Tbh a 2x4 has better texture than that dresser it looked so cheap and would not blend in with the modern home

@@Aleph-Noll i guess the good thing is that he didn't do any unfixeable damage. paint can be removed. hardware can be changed. (this coming from someone who's not a furniture builder.) oh, and its ugly.
One of the things I really love about your channel is the humorous tone you weave into what you're doing. All of the PLEASE STAND BY breaks and the pile of All Day IPA all over the place really adds to the enjoyment. Keep doing what you're doing, man. This is great stuff!

@@juliojaki8081 They might still be crazy, but their work is incredible like you said!
Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included kzread.infoUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
Good old 3 Musketeers! I made my wife and daughter watch that. They stayed for the whole vid. Nice work!
As a teacher for umpteen years, one of my mantras is "If you can laugh, you can learn." You made me laugh. So I stuck with your video, learned a lot, and subscribed. BTW, I teach video editing and will use your vids as an example of engaging (and hard-to-do) editing that turns otherwise blah-blah content into a story. And we all love a good story, right?

The excellent craftsmanship speaks for itself. Your work is impeccable. What really stands out is the videography, lighting, and story telling. Most of us can only manage a half-assed job of fixing one drawer, or maybe some simple tool repair. You have exceeded all of this and more. I have no idea what your partner thinks of the time you spend on these challenges, but I have been encourage, awed, and inspired by them. I can't thank you enough for the hard work editing these down into masterpieces.

Great job. I would have added extra supports to the other feet as well. Also, I would have restored the drawer handles to the shining states, but that's just me. Again, great job, great videos, and a great channel.
very talented , top marks
Nice work! 👍
Use a thin-nap solid foam roller for laying oil paint on paneling, it doesn't leave brush marks.
One of the first mods I ever did to something was an old busted up antique dresser. I fixed everything on the outside and made it structurally sound, and then painted parts of it seafoam and left the rest sanded and oiled dark wood with rusted brass handles. Everyone who saw it thought it was extremely expensive. Eventually it fell apart and I decided a dresser was pointless.
My wife and I own a real estate staging business, a lot of our inventory comes from doing exactly this. I keep telling her that when high gloss black lacquer comes back into style I'm quitting.! :-) You do great work, I enjoy your channel.

Hey again, Marty! I like chalk paint here and there, but I love shellac finishes. I also did a Restoration of a Haywood Wakefield chair for my sister that is also in her bedroom. The neat thing about that is I found it at the Salvation Army for $12 and unrestored it had a value of $400 to $600. That was the most exciting find I have ever found! Although on that one I did a natural Danish oil finish. Good luck with the rocking chair!
