Thank you Sir! I updated setting as you shown, recently I formatted my laptop. After format - laptop, left key is not working with right / left arrows (working fine with up and down arrow) also same with right shift key - it is working with right / up / down arrow but not working with left arrow :D Please share solution if any.

Every time I turn on my computer the setting reverts back to being on. How do I make it so it stays off?

Because it can make it appear as if the key is stuck. Sounds like you have a hardware problem and should try borrowing a different keyboard to see if that's the cse.

Ask Leo! I have, its not hardware. Happened on 3 other keyboards. Ive even tried uninstalling the deives and reinstalling them with drivers. The shift and windows key are stuck to on. I even tried making a macro to reverse the effects but it registers as left shift press 2x and release when i click it so you cannot edit it

Ask Leo! Ok hold up, let people know if you uninstall the keyboard through device manager and uninstall the program it runs on and then set it back up after a pc restart it will completely disable sticky keys from being stuck while windows thinks it is off!

If your keyboard keys are actually sticky, then you need to clean the keyboard, or use another. It's usually easier to use another. :-)

Along the same lines of the video for the shift key. Definitely try another keyboard if you can. If it's actually a broken key or keyboard, there's rarely anything to be done in software.

Leo, I have 4 keys that all stopped working at once (z,x,c,v) I'm using my remote keyboard but I'd like to fix the laptop . I have researched and tried different things but I can't figure it out.. Any ideas? I'm not great at updating as I abhor Win 11 and have tried to stay with Win 10.. I know this sounds dumb.. Thanks if you can help and if you can't.. you do great vids!

Four keys at once sounds like a hardware problem. You might check with the laptop manufacturer to see how hard it would be to replace the keyboard.

First things first: try a different keyboard. This sounds very much like a hardware problem.

Thanks for vid..but I doesn’t work for me..in my case my left shift key get stuck and it makes scrolling of mouse disabled..to unstuck the left shift i have to press right shift key every time..it’s so frustrating and not a practical solution so please help me fix my problem.

Sounds like a hardware issue. As pointed out in the video and companion article: try a different keyboard.

also i changed both keyboard and mouse and restarting pc but the problem is still there

Not sure what you're referring to. Never had a SHIFT key do anything to my clipboard. SHIFT+CTRL+V does paste in many apps - is that what you mean?

@@Vicenarius All I can think of is that you're occasionally accidentally typing CTRL & V at the same time (seems unlikely), or there's a hardware problem with your keyboard. I would first try a different keyboard.

my problem is that some keys on the keyboard (left shift, tab, and all of the numbers), if i press them it makes my laptop go to sleep mode. I've tried four to five different solutions with none of them coming up fruitful what can i do? Edit: Just found out my laptop was a defect, and I got an exchange for something else within the same price!!

Sir u solved my problem of 10 days in 10seconds.

Even though my sticky keys are turned off, my shift keys are still turned on and when I type the letters are in capitalized and small letters and sometimes all letters are capitalized even though caps lock key is turned off. Please I need your help in this matter badly 😭🙏🏻

@@vannniiieee It sounds like CapsLock might be turned on even if it it looks turned off. What happens if you explicitly turn capslock on -- is everything still all caps?

@@askleonotenboom My Capslock key has a light in it so if I turn it on the light will be turned on. When I am typing the letters are not always in capitalized but in alternate like other letters are capitalized and others are in small letters vice versa even though I didn't press the capslock key

it will type numbers as symbols like $#%%!!@# and open a up a whole new tab whenever i click a youtube video

@@sanjeevpoudyal9223 Plug in an external keyboard and see if it behaves the same. If it doesn't (which I suspect) then it's a hardware problem and you'll need to have someone physically fix the keyboard.

my shift lock still isnt working i dont know why..
