Do you have a weekly reset system? I hope this video gives you some new ideas & inspiration for keeping your pantry and refrigerator under control. I can't wait to share more pantry videos with you in the future! Thanks for watching! BTW- I got the coffee from Dollar General. They always have great deals on Maxwell house.

Wow. I could never do that on a weekly basis! Seriously. With raising our young grandchildren, meal prep, canning & food prep, gardening, etc, etc. I would be lucky doing it once a month. Good job (& I'm jealous. Lol)

Well I don't usually have that big of a grocery haul, Lol. AND my fridge is so small I have no choice but to clean it out weekly. All together it takes about 5 mins on fridge and same to top off and refill things. Then it's easy to make a store list. My goal is to eventually become too busy with canning and grandkids. 🙏😁

Thanks, Cynthia! I didn't want to be a negative Nellie, but that wouldn't work for me, either. It seems like "busy work", and I have never liked "busy work". I clean my fridge, but it's more on once a month...and I NEVER check my dates! If it has vinegar in it and it's been in the fridge, the date is a suggestion anyway. I look and smell before I use it...no mold or off smells...it's fine to use.

When I re-stock my pantry I write the month and year (ex. 4/22) on the front labels of my can goods and on boxes I write it on the sides or top depending on which ends will be showing. This makes it so much easier for me to see what items need to be used first. I re-stock my working pantry first with my backup pantry and then it gives me an idea of what I need. I also have a grocery list, done on a spreadsheet of the most used items and will mark off items as I use them. Then sometimes I write next to that item how many I need. I don't go to Costco or Sam's. I use to have a Sam's card years ago, but it seemed like every time I started buying something that we liked, they discontinued it. And some of the condiment bottles were just too big for the way we use items. We have a Krogers and Albertsons that are down the street from each other and I keep an eye out for their sales specials, but do most of my shopping at Winco. So, this past Wednesday I went to Kroger, Albertsons, and Winco, all on the same day. It's usually just maybe Kroger and Albertsons on Wednesdays.

Great ideas! Especially cleaning out the fridge before you shop! I'm usually in a hurry and shop straight after work. Huge fail for me! Love seeing HEB and Dukes! THE BEST!

We've had that fridge for 25 years! We'll keep using her as long as she's willing, but it's so small I have to keep it cleaned out and I can't really stock up very much. That might not be a bad thing, lol

Have I missed a video where you showed how you set up your adorable pantry?! What a great idea! I love the shelves, and they are a perfect height as you stack the cans. So neat and easy to work with and out of sight with the curtains. A great idea I may need to borrow for my small home, thank you!! And I’m the same with buying pasta! And bottled water! During the Texas freeze last Feb we were out of water for 6 days and all the water I had hidden all over the house sure came in handy though 😁. Love the weekly reset!

Yes! I did a video on how we built the shelves. It was so easy and affordable. I actually put a link to it at the end but here's a link for you. Thanks! kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5V3spiLprTAYdo.html

Since I only have a walk-in pantry when ever I take something out I write it on my list, then restock that item when it goes on sale.

Great idea! I try to do the same with a magnetic list on the fridge. But i can't trust that everyone else will write it down.

@@HeartFilledHomemaking Fortunately for me my husband and son doesn't go in the pantry. I keep all the snacks in the kitchen.

Loved this video!! I am going to be re- organizing my 2 lonely kitchen cabinets sometime before Christmas. One side holds dishes. The other side food. I'm considering removing the food side since I turned my living room closet into a working pantry. And I always forget what is in that cupboard for food!! I can hazard a guess that I have some expired canned goods in there! Lol
