Thank you!!
Nevermind I just saw that you did add the water
Hi I have a question. I'm making the chicken rice casserole and the cream of chicken can asks for equal parts water. Do I add the water to the condensed? Thank you for the recipe
No, just follow my recipe amounts. Thanks

Yes! Some friends of ours made some for us and they were delicious 😋
I make the chicken and stuffing. Didn’t change a thing. It was delicious! Reminded me of a chicken pot pie. Will make again.
Thank you for letting me know! I'm so glad you liked it.
How do I recan sausage gravy
I've never tried canning sausage gravy. I'm not experienced enough for that one.
What is the temperature
350F
What would go good with these recipes as a side dish?
I usually serve something green. A side salad, green beans, broccoli, etc.
I love your apple butter recipe..I make it often for my family..I decided to try water bath canning for the 1st time thanks to you making it look so simple..they are in the canner as we speak :)
Thank you so much for letting me know. It's very encouraging. I'm glad you like it. ❤️
REAL Alfredo doesn't use cream. Just cheese and pasta water.
Thanks for sharing
Tamara’s bakery in Clarksburg made some great ones
Thanks for sharing!
I am going to try it today. 😊❤ thank you for sharing.
Great! I hope you like it.
I’m going to try this!
Great! I hope you like it.
Thank you for sharing I have been canning all my life and I am 75years old you just gave me a new journey and a less expensive way to go much needed nowadays thank you
That's great! Thank you for reaching out.
do you have a video on doing this with a chest-type freezer? I never know what I have in there and nothing seems easy to find when I go looking for it..
No, not yet, but I do have a chest freezer, and I plan to film the next time it needs organized. Currently, I use ours for meat. I try to vacuum seal everything in flat packages, then I stack like items in plastic bins. I've done this for years and it helps keep things from sliding everywhere. It's still hard to lift the bins out when I need something on the bottom. Next time, when I film it, I'm gonna try to think of a different idea. Thanks for watching and reaching out.
Love it!!! Thanks a lot my friend!
Thank YOU! 😁
Great video 😊 and i have that same Shirt.I bought a dark Gray sweater to go with it.I thought that was cute.
Thank you! You've got good taste, Lol. 😉 I have a grey sweater that will go perfectly with it! 😁
That looks good! I wonder if a couple of slices of bacon could be added too.
I'm sure! That would be delicious!
I say NO to poached eggs.
Im the stalker cook. I keep potatoes onions and carrots in the kit. Pantry is full of canned vegetables and fruit. Canned meat it ON SALE TO COME HOME. yes i keep a small stable of protein . Eggs , frozen juice, and ground meat are always on list. I eat almost no grains. ( or gluten free mixes) i look in the fridge and look at what i want to fix depends on what i got, how long i want to cook , and my engery level.
I have slowly become the same way. I guess, for me, it just depends on the kind of week I'm having.
Do NOT, stockpile anything. You can't take it with you. 😅
You're correct. We take nothing with us when we die. I prepare for the hard times we may face while still alive. I view this as a loving and necessary responsibility to my family. Noah didn't wait for the rain before building the ark.
I would suggest you date everything so you can also know how long it takes to use the item.
That's a great idea, thanks!
I'm sorry I don't mean to degrade you, but you are so much in need of some studying on these things you're talking about you don't even know where you're going to get your water honey there isn't going to be any water to get it's coming out of a faucet or a hose or a fire hydrant or anything like that. Please go back and re evaluate
That's why you stock up now while water is available. Purchase water, purifying tablets, and other means of purifying dirty water. Please share your knowledge on the subject.
Will be making in the morning to take to prayer meeting
Great! I hope you'll let me know how it goes.
Great video
Thanks!
I have the same categories, but in several different forms ... canned, both from the store and home canned, dehydrated (I'm just getting started with that), frozen and freeze-dried.
Thanks for sharing. I would love to have a freeze dryer. It's just not in our budget at this time, and I would have to get very creative in finding a spot for it.
@@HeartFilledHomemaking I don't have a freeze dryer. At my age, I can't see getting one for just me. I buy from Thrive life.
I know that these would fall under your categories, but I also have plenty of home canned meat, bought on sale. I have some fruits, veggies and beans, but mostly meats. I also make sure I have plenty of canning supplies in case of power outages ... I don't have to worry about losing food that is in the freezer.
I'm working my way up to pressure canning. I have all of the equipment, but I don't have the confidence yet. I know it will be a great addition once I finally take the leap.
@@HeartFilledHomemaking My first pressure canner sat in the box for 5 years before I finally realized ( in 2020) that it was time I had been watching some prepping videos and decided that raw packed chicken would be the first thing I followed all of the instructions and managed to have canned chicken without blowing anything up! I've been addicted ever since! You can do it!
@danniemcdonald7675 thanks for the canning encouragement. It'll be 4 years this Mother's Day that I've had my all-American canner. I know I'll be addicted once I finally pull her out of the box.
@HeartFilledKitchen You will love using the AA canner (at least I do)! The first one I got ... I don't even remember where ... was a Kirby-Allen, which apparently they had stopped making. Which I found out about a year later when I needed a new gasket. Apparently, sitting unused for 5 years ( who knows how long before I bought it) isn't good LOL. When I tried to find a replacement, I realized that the ones that were available ... that fit Presto, etc ... were too thin and did not fit mine. So, after researching, I chose the AA 921, which was a LOT cheaper back then. I wish I had known about all the different colors then.
Good to know
I store lard and butter in the freezer. I wrap the boxes in aluminum foil.
That's probably what I should do. I've never thought of freezing it. Thanks
@@HeartFilledHomemaking it keeps better and longer
Hey Lou Ann in the rotation category, where were you 5 yrs ago! 😅 I have learned how important this is. I home canned my heart out that year, built shelves and stored my homemade wares in the basement. The following years I filled the pantry upstairs by my kitchen and used those canned goods, not knowing, or thinking I should be using the canned goods in the basement. After 5 yrs. those jars are not edible, maybe if we had nothing else to eat, but, for now, the wilderness animals are enjoying them. 😢
Oh no! I'm so sorry. I have heard that eating home canned foods up to 5 years are still safe as long as the seal is still good and they've been stored in a cool, dry place. The texture may be off with some foods.
So glad this has had "Food for thought" I should have been more clear on my post. My pickles, which were crunchy at first canning turned out super mushy to us. But I'm sure we're still good. The hamburger i canned had a totally different texture. It normally will have that. But, whoa super different. Sorry if I missed lead anyone!!!!
What are some of your pantry staples? Do you keep your pantry organized into categories? Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate all of your support and I love hearing from you. Just curious - was extra gravy added to the top of the dish for the serving photo? It looks like it and I want to make sure mine is as creamy. THX!
No. The picture is true. If you layer the ingredients as I showed in the video, this is the result. Thanks for asking.
I do vacuum seal meats now. I went through one of my freezers a few months ago and had to throw out so much that was badly freezer burned from using ziplock bags.
I know that feeling. I've put things in a zip lock to vacuum seal later and forgot. Now, I set time aside each week to vacuum seal everything. It's so worth the investment. Thanks for watching and for the chat.
I love my Food Saver! I have used that brand for over 30 years ( I think this is my third one and I've had it at least 10 years). I'm single, but buy some things, mostly meat, in bulk and freeze it in single portions. I make things like chili, casseroles, lasagna, cut/pour into individual servings, and put them in (cheap) zip lock bags. Place them on a cookie sheet and flash freeze. Then, open the bag, place in a Food Saver (FS) bag and seal. Flash freezing keeps liquids from being sucked into the FS and does not "squish" food. And once ypu eat the food, the FS bag is ready to wash and reuse. I don't reuse any bags that have had raw meat as a safety precaution. Now ... for more uses for your vacuum sealer! It's not just for food! Here are some things that I have vacuum sealed ... candles and matches/lighters, important documents --- when vacuum sealing printed material stop the suction activity (press "seal") before it vacuums all of the air out to prevent the ink from transferring to the plastic; cash; socks, shoes and underwear; medication , both OTC and prescription. I'm sure there's more, and I know this is a food channel, but I am so passionate about my Food Saver. 😊❤
I agree with everything you said! I have worn out a few vacuum sealers over the past 20+ years. Right now I'm using a Cabellas commercial grade sealer. I also have a smaller standard sealer that I use when I only have 1 or 2 things to seal. I flash freeze just like you said. I freeze everything in bags flat, or in square containers, or just on a cookie sheet, depending on what it is, then I seal it. I usually set aside time one day a week to seal everything up and to stay on top of it. Thanks for sharing all of your great tips here!
Please show how you organize your chest freezer and thanks for showing the baskets at Dollar Tree.
Thank you, I sure will.
I'm with you on vacuum sealing, I shop Costco and divide the large packages and vac seal them. Love my sealer ! ty
Yes! I've vacuum sealed for so many years. I can't imagine not owning one. Thank you
Thanks for a nice video. I have to take a day and do a cleanout.
Thank you. It feels so much better once it's done.
I've cleaned my freezers out and find things I forgot I even had, they would be freezer burned so badly it had to be thrown away. I can organize them and a month later they are back to a mess.
I can relate, as you saw here. It gets out of hand fast!
I just found your channel!❤ Congratulations on your new grandson! What a blessing you are to your daughter and her family. What a blessing grandchildren are. We had a nice Easter starting with worshiping our Risen Lord! Then we had a nice Easter meal with ham, potatoes gratin, green beans, and homemade honey wheat rolls and carrot cake for dessert. Lord bless! 🙏💛
Hi there, Barbara! Welcome! I'm truly happy that you're here. We waited over 12 years for our granddaughter, and in a short 18 months later, we were blessed with our grandson. Our hearts are overflowing with joy and thankfulness. Your Easter dinner sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to hearing from you in the future ❤️
I not only celebrated Easter, I celebrated my son's house renovation was done. I fixed chicken and dumplings, turkey and a lot of sides. My sons, daughter in laws and grand-daughter spent the afternoon with us.
That's great news! Sounds like a perfect day.
In Norway Easter is lamb for dinner
I absolutely love lamb. Thank you for sharing your yummy tradition.
