I've been weighing just signing up for my orders. It was strange how I became a customer. Although I've been wax obsessed for years (ok decades), I never would touch Scentsy because I felt it was overpriced. Last year a friend was hosting an online party. Normally I say no right away, but she was telling me about the woman who sells. She had a very rough life, even having to give custody of her son to a family member while she was homeless.She started getting her life back on track, working very hard, married a good man, having a nice home so her son was back, and they had another son. She started selling to help with bills in addition to her f/t time, and put a lot of effort in. She now sells Scentsy f/t with a bunch of people under her, and she helps women who are struggling or homeless get back on their feet (not sure if drugs were an issue or not...never asked). I was impressed with someone pulling themselves up and then helping others, and also needed to replace warmers anyway, so bought 4 warmers and a tons of bars out of support. Now have a giant Scentsy Club.

I loved this!! I love you!! I laughed...I cried.. This was so interesting. Thank you for sharing. I’ve got Boho Chic!! I used to have the fall/winter and spring/summer plus any special catalogs. I always kept 2 of each. Back when I became a customer was I think 1989. Back then the warmer boxes didn’t show a picture of the warmer and it was always such a pain having to take it out to see what it was, then put it back in. So what I would do is take a catalog and cut the picture out and tape it to the box. So one was for cutting and the other was an intact one. I’ve since thrown the catalogs away but everything is digital anyway. Can’t wait till your next video!!

Lisa I'm Very happy for you I became a consultant a year ago but it hasn't gotten me to the point of me saling constantly because hardly nobody buys me any and my friends are like we already have a consultant I don't have merchandise like you do or I have never had host points I don't no how to do a Scentsy party I hand out books and I see some people look threw the books and alot of them throw them away and I never got welcomed or congratulated when I turned a year or nothing so what I do I only place my order when ever I run out of wax or my son orders from me it's sad to say that I hardly sale anything I work as a heath provider so I'm just sale when ever I get small orders.I love your story and your my inspiration and my favorite ytube Scentsy consultant

I just came across this video. It’s funny because I was just looking through that catalog online to see if I could guess what my “top 13 scents were” (a Facebook memory post I read. That was a good year. Of course, this year is too! Thanks for sharing your story. I used Scentsy for about 7 years before signing up, and then I really did so I could have testers when I moved away from my favorite consultant. I’m sort of trying to build my business now, but I also have 6 kids, so I don’t mind if the business has to take second fiddle. :)

I've been using scentsy since 2009, when my mom had bought a house her real estate agent gave her a full size warmer and a couple of bars to try. I have been obsessed with scentsy ever since. I have been obsessed with home scents since I was a little girl but was always afraid to catch the house on fire my step mom used to have cabinets filled with yankee candles she would burn daily and that's where my addiction came to home scents. Wowww we had a similar situation! Caught my bedroom on fire at my grandmother's house. Now I was a teen, young adult so I knew better, i cant remember the details, but embers or something caught my mattress on fire. We thought the fire was out, we doused it with water.. but it was too far gone. I went back to sleep on the couch, and next thing I knew we w er re calling fire dept and they brought the bed out, it was completely charred. Walls ruined carpet ruined. My grandmother luckily had insurance and we were all okay, but I loved candles too, still do. But scentsy is amazing!! I just started on may 1st!

i absolutely loved your story..even teared up with you..ive only known about scentsy since my son passed away in march of this year and i met my consultant.. she actually reached out to help me and we had never met only online..anyway im in the same mind frame as you were in the beginning..im spending quite a bit because im hooked now lol! and im seriously considering taking the leap into joining..i do not work im a stay at home grandmother raising grandchildren..and i really could use the extra income but idk that i know enough people to make it a business..i have so many questions on how it works what are the perks and so on but my now consultant even though a very nice person she's also very preoccupied so i may need to change consultants before i join because I'm afraid I'm going to need a lot of guidance at first...i watch your videos just about daily now and enjoy them so much! if you have any words of knowledge id greatly appreciate them lol!! thanks

I remember when my foster daughter was living with me she wanted to have candles in her room so bad and I told her no because her room was... I'm sorry just filthy all the time and I told her if she could keep her room clean we could try to figure something out(I'll never trust a child with a candle) Well she was never really able to keep her room clean but she was able to keep one area clean that was by the outlet so I got her a wallflower from bbw. Looking back if I had know about Scentsy I would have gotten the Scentsy wall fan diffuser so there's no mess possibility. Now I'm thinking about getting one for my toddlers nursery

I’ve been watching you for awhile so its great to finally hear your story and especially that your journey was still evolving even tho u had already been an established youtuber. So awesome u met an amazing teammate FRIEND SISTER thru Scentsy that dropped everything to be there for you when your dad passed away. I really discovered Scentsy in 2014. I had seen it at events a couple years earlier but i had no interest whatsoever I had Partylite burn out not from being a consultant but just doing back to back parties going and trying to host so i had zero interest and i didn’t even wanna hear about it i had cats by then and didnt want them knocking down “candles” was my first excuse then not chewing cords was second excuse 😂. But i won a basket of stuff in 2014 then an online friend became a consultant i was like “ have Scentsy” i bought from her just to help out and immediately got hooked but still had no interest in joining. I lost that consultant scrambled to find another cause I HAD TO HAVE IT. A year after that 2016 i finally signed up. My experience had always been thru their PWS as far as being a customer and really that’s what I hoped for too. I mainly wanted to feed my own addiction but if u want Scentsy go to my PWS i dont want to do parties or have people join 😂 Congratulations on your journey and keep up the amazing work ❤️ and yes even tho I never met them personally Heidi and Orville are amazing. How many CEOs especially so called “pyramid scheme” CEOs have chit chat videos every month that are not all about numbers they are amazing

I gotta be honest, I do wish some of these mlms were just a business in stores. Like pampered chef was super hard to sell online through mlm because sure it's good quality but it's waaaayyyy overpriced if you're not a consultant. This is coming from someone with years of sales experience and I couldn't get anyone to buy anything. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hated selling for them. Pampered chef, colorstreet and Scentsy are great products but I just hate doing MLM... Especially online. Which covid kinda has forced us into only doing online parties. Not to mention shipping is always outrageous... For me to just buy a scent circle costs me $12 including tax and shipping 😩 I'd rather spend $5 in store than $3+ $8 shipping + taxes....

Will you consider making a video on how you work your business? FB business pg? VIP Fb page? Etc...

I would like more videos on building the business please!!!

You literally describe why I want to join, I want the testers and to be able to earn money for my purchases. Plus how my whole thought process has been for years wanting to join lol. Thanks for sharing your story. Fragrance for many people can invoke so many memories, feelings, and emotions. I definitely am one of those. My daughter also. Shes 17 and I've trusted her with candles and incense. My parents, grandparents were firefighters. My mom was the 1st female firefighter in the state of Delaware 😍💪💅👩‍🚒👑 I've been contemplating joining scentsy for a while but I'm an atrocious seller and such an introvert 🥴🤣 I just got my whiff box it had no info in it, no sample pouches, no squeaky ball. Literally squiggles, 3 dog produce, a bar, and next months sample. Definitely disappointed it's my 1st whiff box. Not sure what to do with it Sooooooooooo 😫🙈 I went back and watched ur whiff box video. I guess I got lucky bc I got a whole bar in be fabulous (not the circle) and u didn't have the samples either and I think u said there isnt any in this box. So. Starbucks is just missing a squeaky ball. Hell survive lol barkbox should be here soon 😂😂

My Mom has the red crystal shade warmer from a friend who sold it! 😂 But since I joined my parents support my little business 😊 To me it's hard to make this a true business right now, though I try as best I can.
