LYRICS:
My Revolution Gavin Dunne 2014
Voices joined will never tire
Brothers all are we
Streets they run with blood and fire
The price of liberty
My revolution carries me
In a moment lost in time
My revolution sets me free
I will flow across the lines
Bring out the brother in me
I’m searching for unity
Everything is changing
Inside of me
The city’s under my feet
The ruins of the elite
Everything is changing
Inside of me
Secret truths are buried deep
Two fathers on two sides
With every lunge and leap
Closer to my kind
My revolution carries me
In a moment lost in time
My revolution sets me free
I will flow across the lines
Bring out the brother in me
I’m searching for unity
Everything is changing
Inside of me
The city’s under my feet
The ruins of the elite
Everything is changing
Inside of me
Révolution dans les rues (Revolution in the streets)
Je vois le chaos en dessous (I watch the chaos down below)
La justice est une rivière rouge (Justice is a red river)
Je te cherche, où es-tu? (I search for you, where are you?)
My revolution carries me...
My revolution sets me free...
My revolution carries me
In a moment lost in time
My revolution sets me free
I will flow across the lines
Bring out the brother in me
I’m searching for unity
Everything is changing
Inside of me
The city’s under my feet
The ruins of the elite
Everything is changing
Inside of me
My revolution...
It’s gonna carry me
Carry me
Révolution dans les rues (Revolution in the streets)
Je vois le chaos en dessous (I watch the chaos down below)
La justice est une rivière rouge (Justice is a red river)
Je te cherche, où es-tu? (I search for you, where are you?)

miracleofsound By the way... you didn't pronounce the French parts correctly... for some of the lines, the meaning of what you said was changed because of bad pronunciation... So I could only get the real meaning thanks to the subtitles. (French is my first language).

miracleofsound For example... For the "où es-tu?" part... Well... normally, it means "Where are you?"... but what you instead said was... "Where is everything?"... That's a quite different meaning. Funny thing is... you only made that pronunciation mistake the first time you said the line... but you said it correctly toward the end of the video... You could've done better than that...

miracleofsound Same thing for "en dessous"... you pronounced it as "en dessus" which actually means the opposite of what you were trying to say.

sancturillore it would depend entirely on what kind of french he's familiar with. i'm very used to canadian french (quebec and acadien specifically) and heard nothing wrong with anything he said, but if you're going by proper, parisian french, then yes, i suppose it would sound kind of off

Reasons why i loved Arno: 1. He is a Assassin 2. He helped out the Revolution while helping the Assassin's 3. After being kicked out of the Brotherhood he still killed the grandmaster. 4. He had a sense of justice 5. Arno was doing his own thing despite being a assassin. He helped out innocents and knew he was still a human. Not a thing drove to kill certain people.

Look, I like Jacob as a character and I like Syndicate as much as the next guy, probably more. But where Arno had at least hints of Depth (nothing extraordinary, but at least his character development was slightly interesting), Jacob was just this random "Young Hothead wants to kick ass" trope, that has been done a thousand times before, and most of the time better than in Syndicate. I legitimately cant remember anything about Jacob, except that his Father (?) is dead and that he has a hot sister (who btw. is another standard trope). Wow, considering that your reply is a year old, you probably will never read this, but I felt like writing it anyway. good day

Helped Assassins and even saved one of them even b4 he became Assassin 5. Befriended DaVinci 6. Fought POPE when he had superpowers 7. Romanced with Catarina Sforza 8. When they destroyed his town he helped people to escape and traveled to enemies city 9. Restored Brotherhood there 10. Kidnapped damn tank 11. Broke into Vaticano 12. when he was old traveled far away to help even more people.

Well they are talking about two different revolutions. The one on Syndicate is the industrial revolution which is believed to hold many in a tight grip of near slavery. Whereas the one in Unity was an ideological revolution, changing the ways of People's view of themselfs and others. That's just my Thought though.

As someone who has never played an Assassin’s Creed game and very probably has no idea what I’m talking about, my guess would be that they pin the hood to their hair. That’s how people historically kept coifs and bonnets and whatnot from falling off. Alternately, if the hood is extremely structured (interlined with stiff material) and the pieces are constructed in such a way that the panels on the hood extend to the back and shoulders without seams, I *think* the hood would be disinclined to fall down on its own. That last option is pure supposition based on my limited understanding of tailoring and physics.

And the words that I have just spoken, are portrayed brilliantly in this piece of art, known only as a great gift to humanity: Music. Your music in particular is beautiful, with lovely singing, amazing vocals, splendid instrumentals and of course, the poetic lyrics that can only be created by people who truly understand music. I love how you stay in touch with your fans, it's a clear sign that you care for us and I think it's simply awesome of you. Also, I have a question. Is it intentional that the first few notes played by the piano are the same as in Comptine d'Un Autre Été but simply sped up? Maybe it's just me imagining things, but it really sounds like it and Comptine d'Un Autre Été is pretty much the most popular french piano piece there is, if you ask me.

The four first lines stick to me. Especially with the words “brothers” and “liberty”. In France we have a motto: “Liberty, equality, fraternity”. I like to think that him mentioning two out of three words from our motto, leaving out equality, is a nice call back that there was no equality between social classes in 1789 France.

It wasn't until recently that I figured out how this (and by extension "London Town") connect with "Blood of the Creed" and "Beneath the Black Flag" (besides the fact they're about different games in the same series)..."Beneath the Black Flag" hints back to "Blood of the Creed" with the line 'Justice runs in Crimson Rivers' and "London Town" has the line 'Cry Revolution, smoke and steam!' Sung in the tune of 'My Revolution carries me' in this song. However, hidden in the French of this song is the line 'La justice est une riviere rouge' or 'Justice is a red river', alluding to Justice running 'in Crimson Rivers' I do so love how songs from the same series tend to have hints to the others, keep up the good work, you Miracle of Sound you!

I discover your channel recently. Your music is awesome! :D Choeurs criant à l'unisson Jamais épuisés Les rues mises à feu, à sang Très chère liberté Ma révolution ouvre la voie Au travers d'époques perdues Ma révolution avec toi Je m'élance vers l'inconnu Une main tendue, décidé Je suis en quête d'unité Tous les repères basculent Au fond de moi La cité est à mes pieds L'ordre établi, décimé Tous les repères basculent Au fond de moi Des secrets sont bien cachés Pères aimés, enemies jurés Chaque saut, chaque fois plus loin me rapproche des miens "Révolution dans les rues (Revolution in the streets) Je vois le chaos en dessous (I watch the chaos down below) La justice est une rivière rouge (Justice is a red river) Je te cherche, où es-tu? (I search for you, where are you?)" Ma révolution ouvre la voie... Ma révolution avec toi... Ma révolution... Oh, elle ouvre la voie ouvre ma voie The more I listen this particular song, the more I wanted to fully translated it in French. Not literally, as it has already be well done in the comments, but in a version with rhythm and rhymes. Here it is. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Literally in English: / mark two meaning for the same word (/) mark a different word sounding the same Chorus(/hearts) shouting in unison Never tired/depleted The streets put to fire and blood Very cherished/expensive liberty My revolution open the path(/voice) Through lost times My revolution with you I leap into the unknown (Ok, this verse is really far from the original. However I think it stays true to the spirit of the song and the game) A hand held out, determined I'm in quest for unity All the references/landmarks switch/tilt/fall_over Deep inside me The city is under my feet The established order, decimated All the references/landmarks switch/tilt/fall_over Deep inside me Some secrets are well hidden Loved fathers, sworn enemies Every leap, every time further Brings me closer to my kind My revolution open the path(/voice)... My revolution with you... My revolution open the path(/voice) Oh, it open the path(/voice) Open my path(/voice) ------------------------------------------------------------- And finally the more phonetic French version Choeurs/ cri/ant/ à/ l'u/ni/sson Ja/mai/s é/pui/sés Les/ rues/ mis'/s à/ feu/, à/ sang Très/ chè/re/ li/ber/té Ma/ ré/vo/lu/tion/ ouv/'e la/ voie Au/ tra/vers/ d'é/poques/ per/dues Ma/ ré/vo/lu/tion/ a/vec/ toi Je/ m'é/lance/ vers/ l'in/co/nnu Une/ main/ ten/due,/ dé/ci/dé Je/ sui/s en/ quête/ d'u/ni/té Tous/ les/ re/pères/ bas/culent Au/ fond/ de/ moi La/ ci/té/ es/t_à/ mes/ pieds L'or/dre é/ta/bli,/ dé/ci/mé Tous/ les/ re/pères/ bas/culent Au/ fond/ de/ moi Des/ se/crets/ sont/ bien/ ca/chés Pè/res ai/més,/ en'/mies ju/rés Cha/que/ saut,/ cha/que/ fois/ plus/ loin me/ ra/pproche des miens Ma/ ré/vo/lu/tion/ ouv/'e la/ voie...

I think that invert of being "Everything is changing inside of me" it should be "Everything is changing around me", but the song is pretty good

Matheus C The song is about Arno's personal internal changes as influenced by the outside revolution. Hence 'My Revolution'

this guy makes almost the best songs these days, it never fails to fit the mood I am in, and when I want a little battle music for a game, I put some songs from this guy on instead of the music the game I am playing has.

The French Revolution was an interesting time. It started out cool but then devolved into slaughter. I'm not saying that the nobles didn't have it coming though. I haven't played the game but the song is great.
